The Sacramento Public Library's Tsakopoulos Library Galleria is seeking candidates to fill several on-call Event Duty positions. This position works as needed, based on events scheduled in the Tsakopoulos Library Galleria. The Tsakopoulos Library Galleria is attached to the Sacramento Public Library's Central library (downtown) located at 828 I Street in Sacramento.
Building and Planning Support Specialist
Non-exempt, Public Works and Clerical Bargaining group
Under general supervision, provides technical and public information for all aspects of the development review process, which includes planning, zoning, plan review, building inspection, permit issuance and related areas such as housing and code enforcement; provides information to the public at a counter or over the telephone; performs related work as assigned.
The actual salary shall be determined by the final candidate’s qualifications and experience. In addition to the starting salary, employees in the Senior Facility Attendant classification shall also receive an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation pay.

The Department is currently recruiting to fill multiple Building Inspector Combination (BIC) positions in the Building Division. A Building Inspector Combination reviews plans, issues permits, and performs field inspections for a variety of buildings and structures being constructed, altered or repaired to ensure compliance with building, plumbing, mechanical and electrical codes and related Federal, State and local regulations. Specific position assignments will vary depending on the business needs of the Department.
BUILDING INSPECTOR I/II
Level I: $5,402 - $6,567 per month
Level II: $5,962 - $7,247 per month
