The Crossing Guard position is a temporary position, approximately five hours per day, two hours in the morning and three hours in the afternoon, Monday through Friday.  Crossing Guards work a school year (September thru June).  Applicants must be able to work outdoors, have reliable transportation or ability to report to assignment consistently.

Crossing Guards work under the general direction of the Parking Operations Lead Community Service Officer with the Seal Beach Police Department.  Based on the needs of the City, a flexible schedule may be assigned for either a morning or afternoon shift or a combination thereof, or for specific week days, based on the availability of the Crossing Guards and at the discretion of the Parking Operations Lead Community Service Officer.

The City of Patterson’s Public Works Department is seeking to fill (2) two part-time Maintenance Worker positions and to establish an Eligibility List. Duties include but are not limited: Learns to perform a variety of maintenance duties related to area of assignment, including but not limited to, city buildings, tree and vegetation maintenance, street, collection system, and water utility maintenance; performs general maintenance, upkeep and repair of City buildings and facilities; assists with street maintenance and repair including digging out, breaking up and hauling away damaged sidewalks, gutters, curb, and asphalt pavement; proper and effective use of landscaping maintenance tools, equipment, and materials; methods, techniques safety practices used in maintaining parks and landscaping.

The City is establishing a list to fill several positions.  Apply immediately to be considered for these part-time job opportunities.  Some assignments may include working on a substitute basis at various school locations.  The schedule involves working 2 to 4 hours each day including approximately one and a half (1 ½) hours in the morning and one and a half (1 ½) hours in the afternoon during the school year.

Primary responsibilities:

●   Monitor and assist with the street crossing of school-age children during slow and peak traffic times

●   Provide appropriate safety instruction for children crossing streets and intersections

●   Watch traffic flow and wait for appropriate gap between vehicles to lead groups of school children promptly across a street

The City of Chowchilla is seeking a Specialized Service Maintenance Worker I, under general supervision from the Public Works Supervisor, to perform basic construction, maintenance, repair and alteration work in the completion of Public Works/Public Services activities in streets, grounds, water, sewer, storm drains and facilities.
