This position has full supervisory responsibility for the direction and activities of the unit and provide technical guidance to Latent Fingerprint Examiners.

Typical duties as a Latent Fingerprint Examiner Supervisor may include, but are not limited to:

• Directs and manages the day-to-day, 24-hour operation and activities of personnel, programs, and facilities within the Central Identification Unit.
• Interprets and enforces the Department's duty manual, general orders and guidelines. Ensures training compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Provides supervision, training, and technical assistance to subordinate personnel in the operation of the Department's in-house Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS), manual fingerprint analysis, comparison and evaluation methodology, and all other aspects of related fingerprint analysis work.
• Establishes procedures for the operation of the Central Identification Unit case work assignment procedures for both automated and manual systems.
• Coordinates the recruitment and hiring of new personnel.
• Acts as a liaison with other county criminal justice agencies.

Program Overview:

The Child Welfare Mental Health (CWMH) team serves children ages 6-17 years old and their families who have a voluntary or court-ordered open case with Children and Family Services (CFS). For all CFS referred youth, we administer the CANS, among other assessment tools. We interview the children, caregivers, and any relevant parties as part of this assessment process. Based on these assessments, we provide various therapeutic services (e.g., individual therapy, family therapy, dyadic therapy, psychiatric evaluations, etc.). We work in conjunction with pediatric nurses, doctors, and psychiatrists. When appropriate or upon CFS case closure, CWMH therapist transfers mental health services to other BHRS programs or to our network of community-based agencies/providers.

Position Description:

We are hiring a Bilingual Spanish-speaking clinician to provide assessments, brief crisis/stabilization, therapy, case management services, and treatment summaries to the court for children aged 6-17 years old. The ideal candidate will provide trauma-informed child abuse treatment and work closely with the foster care system.

Our clinicians carry an outpatient caseload and services are community-based. We can conduct therapy at our BHRS therapy offices, but mostly conduct therapy off-site (e.g., at the child’s school, homes, etc) based on what is convenient for the child/family. So, having a car to travel within San Mateo County is necessary to the work. It is important to note that for work-related travel, the candidate can choose to use county cars or if they decide to drive their vehicle, they can also get mileage reimbursement.

We serve residents of San Mateo County who are often of racial/ethnic minorities and low-income status. Our team consists of master’s level clinicians (licensed and unlicensed). Therapists have weekly individual supervision and a weekly clinical staff meeting where cases are discussed. There are ongoing training opportunities to learn skills in a wide variety of modalities (e.g., Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused CBT, DBT, NMT, etc.). The work that this team does is critical for the health and well-being of many children and youth in San Mateo County. Although the work often comes with the challenges connected to trauma, it also provides a rich and rewarding experience.

The County of Yuba is actively recruiting to fill current vacancies and establish an employment list for the position of Public Safety Dispatcher within the Sheriff’s Department.  The incumbent receives 9-1-1 system sheriff, fire, medical emergency and rescue calls; dispatches sheriff, fire and medical personnel following established procedures; maintains communication with officers in the field to ensure safety and provide back-up and information; provides relief coverage for the records unit; and performs related work as assigned. We have exciting internship opportunities available at the City of Millbrae’s Public Works Department.  The Public Works Department is looking to hire two (2) interns for the Engineering Division. This is an open-ended internship without a specific term. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed in an office environment in close proximity to other workers.  Incumbent shall be exposed to those conditions normally encountered in a business office environment.  Physical demands require frequent standing, reaching, leaning, twisting, grasping, lifting and sitting for prolonged periods of time.  Must carry moderately heavy boxes up to 50 pounds and/or utilize a dolly.  Incumbent must be able to drive safely to various City sites.  Incumbent must be able to see and hear in the normal range, with or without correction.  Incumbent must have the stamina to work long hours and overtime, if assigned, and be willing to work an irregular schedule, which might include evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying hours.

THE POSITION

Perform professional civil engineering work in the planning, design, technical investigation, and construction of projects in public works, transportation, capital improvements, and structural engineering. An example of duties include:

• Participates in the preparation of plans and specifications for the construction of streets, storm drains, street lighting, traffic signals, buildings and related public works and City building projects; researches project design requirements; performs calculations and prepares estimates of material costs and time considerations.
• Researches publications and industry information sources.
• Develops and revises design and construction standards.
• Participates in the implementation of the City’s traffic and transportation engineering programs; prepares and revises plans and specifications for traffic related projects; prepares special studies and reports and coordinates major projects.
• Investigates field problems affecting property owners, contractors, and maintenance operations.

• Participates in the plan check, review and processing of plans for private developments affecting streets, sewers, drains and related public works facilities and ensures that they meet all City imposed requirements.

• Coordinates planning, design, and construction activities with other City departments, divisions, and sections, and with outside agencies.
• Attends various staff and regional technical advisory meetings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in civil engineering or a closely related field;

Possession of a current Engineer-in-Training Certificate, issued by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers, and one (1) year of professional civil engineering experience.

This Sr. Facilities Repair Worker position will be stationed at Central Service Yard and travel to various sites across San Jose , with an emphasis on the City of San J ose's interim housing communities . In addition to the typical duties of a Sr. Facilities Repair Worker, the successful candidate will interact a n d compassionately communicate with interim housing tenants and pe ople in vulnerable housing situations . The position requires flexibility and adaptability to : respond to afterhours alarms , navigate exposure to situations and issues surrounding unhoused, and make decisions in stressful or ambiguous situations. The position may also oversee other Facility Repairs Workers in their day-to-day tasks and special projects. Other duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Leads, repairs, and maintains water faucets, urinal valves, commode valves, shower heads, minor pipe leaks, and various other water control valves.
• Leads and performs minor repair on buildings caused by vandalism and normal wear, including patching, full area painting and spot painting, floor tile repair and replacement, glass replacement, door adjustments, wall panel replacement, and wood trim replacement.
• Leads and performs minor repairs and maintains PTA C AC units .
• Leads, repairs, and maintains equipment, including generators and power tools.

• Schedules and manages contractor activities and reviews and approves payments.
• Prepares work orders for major repair and alterations and monitors progress and completion of projects.
• Prepares reports on materials, labor, and cost on damage caused by users in order to recover cost.
• Maintains records of repair equipment.
• Maintains records of work and projects in a work order system database.
