The Yuba County Sheriff’s Department is currently accepting applications to establish an eligibility list for the classification of Correctional Officer.  Under continuing supervision incumbents perform a wide variety of support in two areas: corrections, in which incumbents ensure the security, safety and care of individuals in custody; and bailiff, in which incumbents ensure the safety and security of the courts and their personnel during court proceedings; and perform related work as assigned. The Yuba County Sheriff's Department is responsible for the administration of the Yuba County Jail and Jail staff. The Mission of the Yuba County Jail is to provide safe, efficient, humane and secure custody of all persons incarcerated. The county prisoner population is made up of those who are sentenced to county jail, those serving state prison sentences in the county jail under AB109, and those who are pre-trial and who have not yet been sentenced. The jail provides a necessary link in the criminal justice system. There are numerous programs operating within the facility including medical, kitchen, exercise, commissary, visiting, law library, inmate education, work programs, work furlough program, and inmate classification.

The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the County-wide classification of Senior Accounting Technician. The current vacancy exists within the Treasurer – Tax Collector’s Office. Under direction, the incumbent performs a variety of technical financial and accounting duties that require a specialized knowledge; provide administrative support to assigned supervisor; perform the most difficult and responsible types of duties assigned to classes within this series, which may include providing lead direction over assigned personnel and performing duties including, but not limited to, verifying and updating assessment tax roll information, leading the centralized payroll function, and assisting with the preparation of budget documents and perform other duties as assigned. The County of Yuba is actively recruiting to fill current vacancies and establish an employment list for the position of Public Safety Dispatcher within the Sheriff’s Department.  The incumbent receives 9-1-1 system sheriff, fire, medical emergency and rescue calls; dispatches sheriff, fire and medical personnel following established procedures; maintains communication with officers in the field to ensure safety and provide back-up and information; provides relief coverage for the records unit; and performs related work as assigned. These classifications require shift work and the ability to make decisions and act appropriately in stressful situations. The work also involves interdepartmental cooperation with various public safety agencies located throughout the County to coordinate the most effective response to requests for assistance from the public.

The County of Yuba is currently accepting applications to establish an eligibility list for the flexibly staffed position of Elections Clerk I-II in the Elections Division within the Clerk-Recorder’s Office for both Extra Help and Full Time positions. This position reports directly to the Registrar of Voters Manager. This class is flexibly staffed, and incumbents may advance to the II-level after gaining experience, demonstrating proficiency, and meeting the qualifications. Initially under close supervision, incumbents learn state and federal laws, rules and regulations related to conducting elections as well as County policies and procedures. As experience is gained, assignments become more complex and are performed under more general supervision. Incumbent to this position will assist in conducting elections; process voter registration; maintain voter registration database; review and accept election filings; coordinate poll workers and polling facilities; proof printed, audio and electronic election materials; track, prepare and test electronic voting equipment; and perform other duties as assigned.

• Initiates and conducts individual, group, and family counseling and biopsychosocial therapy sessions utilizing a variety of techniques and modalities; provides case management services in the office and in the field.

• Performs routine and emergency intake evaluations according to Authority procedure;
  completes appropriate forms and documents relating to the intake process; and prepares medical and demographic case history for use in diagnosis.

• Assists clients and family members in understanding behavioral health diagnosis, contributing factors/causes, effects, prognosis, rehabilitation, and treatment.

This position will be a part of a 3 year - federally funded MHSSA Grant Team that is scheduled to end in December 2026. The team is being formed to foster stronger school-community mental health partnerships that can leverage resources to help students succeed.  The Clinical Therapist I/II position will report to a Clinical Supervisor and will work on a multidisciplinary team consisting of other Clinical Therapists and Behavioral Health Specialists in partnership with the school and families.

These positions are responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Work directly with or work with staff who work directly with at high-risk youth, foster youth, youth who identify as LGBTQ+, and youth who have been suspended or expelled from school and their families to provide culturally inclusive and relevant mental health services such as early intervention, suicide prevention, drop-out prevention, evidence based mental health practices and the development and coordination of service plans to address ongoing needs;

• Provides individual, group, and family interventions, rehabilitation, and treatment services including counseling, therapy, case management, and referral and linkage to community services to a variety of clients including high acuity clients.

• Within scope of authority, assesses, diagnoses, and treats a variety of clients with mental health disorders; collaborates with clients and creates individualized treatments plans according to client’s needs and circumstances.

The position description:

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is looking to fill one vacancy for the Bilingual Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS) for the Adult Outpatient Department to provide a variety of rehabilitative support services to clients to facilitate behavior modification, skill building, and self-care and safety in individual and/or group
settings. The BHS will demonstrate and coach clients to promote and reinforce the use of effective coping
strategies and techniques based on individual needs and treatment plans; perform outreach and
provide linkages and referrals to a variety of behavioral health, community, and social services,
resources, and systems of care.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Provides individual, group, family, and collateral rehabilitative support services to facilitate behavior modification including skill building, needs assessment, self-care/safety, and coping strategies and techniques; may provide case management services in the office and in the field.

• Develops, monitors, and evaluates client rehabilitative and case management goals and increases/decreases in targeted behavior according to client needs; monitors goal progress/regression.

• Provides linkages, resources, and referrals to address basic needs and other barriers to wellness and recovery including food, housing, clothing, transportation, and other financial resources.

• Encourages and supports clients to fully engage in services; provides outreach and assists clients in addressing and overcoming barriers to treatment.

• Plans and facilitates and/or co-facilitates group sessions for clients and community members focused on skill building; tracks client attendance and follows-up with individual clients, as necessary.

• Provides advocacy for clients to ensure inclusion in all aspects of the community including socialization, employment, education, and housing to meet client needs.
