The City is seeking a Division Manager to manage all services and activities in the Safety Division of the Human Resources Department. The Safety Manager will report to the Assistant Director of Human Resources and will be responsible for administering the City of San José's extensive safety program, which includes Worker's Compensation, Employee Health Services, Injury and Illness Prevention Programs, City Driving Program, Safety Show Voucher Program, and ergonomics. The Department of Transportation (DOT) is seeking to fill 16 full-time Maintenance Assistant positions.

The Maintenance Assistant total salary range is $24.74 to $31.56 hourly or $51,459.20 to $65,644.80 annually . The actual salary shall be determined by the final candidates' qualifications and experience.

The Infrastructure Maintenance Division of DOT is looking to fill 16 full-time vacant positions. These positions perform work in the maintenance and repair of concrete, pavement, sewers, landscaping, traffic signs, and traffic markings. Duties include digging holes, trenches, and ditches. They also operate a wide range of hand, mechanical, and power tools, as well as a variety of light and heavy vehicles, trucks, and equipment relevant to work performed, ensuring compliance with safe working practices. Maintenance crews provide services seven days a week. Individuals in this classification may be required to work alternate work shifts, including grave and swing, weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call.

Finance Department - The Finance Department has over 100 employees who are dedicated to serve the needs of our customers throughout the City of San Jose. Our mission is to manage, protect, and report on the City of San Jose's financial resources to enhance the City's financial condition for our residents, businesses, and investors. Our services are provided to the organization and community through four separate divisions which include Treasury, Revenue Management, Accounting, and Purchasing. The Housing Department's mission is to strengthen and revitalize our community through housing and neighborhood investment. A major function of the Housing Department is its work as a funder. The position of Administrative Analyst is a fully qualified journey-level professional classification. Administrative Analyst is distinguished from Management Analyst in that the Management Analyst has a higher level of managerial, budgetary and program administration responsibility. The current vacancy is in the Information Technology Department; however, the eligibility list established from this recruitment may also be used to fill future Administrative Analyst vacancies in other Departments throughout the City.

This position is assigned in the Administration, Fiscal and Performance Management Division, reporting to the IT Admin, Fiscal and Performance Manager. • Asset Management and Tracking: Facilitating the acceptance of new streets and utilities into the City’s inventory and maintaining meticulous records of maintenance activities through ArcGIS. 

• Optimizing Fleet Operations: Ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and requirements such as annual use reporting, emissions, registration, vehicle/fuel procurement and inventory systems.

The Office of the Assistant City Clerk processes and maintains copies of City contracts, ordinances, resolutions and other official documents. The Office of the Assistant City Clerk manages and compiles City records in accordance with the Records Retention Schedule and in response to Public Records Act requests. The Office of the Assistant City Clerk administers campaign and disclosure laws, the Campaign Finance Ordinance, Regulation of Lobbying Activities program and the Calendars of Certain City Officials program. The Office of the Assistant City Clerk also administers oaths of affirmation pertaining to the affairs and business of the City and certifies copies of official records.
 
 The Position: 
 The Deputy City Clerk will report to the Assistant City Clerk and perform highly complex administrative and analytical work. This position will assist the Assistant City Clerk in the administration of the City Clerk's Office. The incumbent will assist in developing, implementing and coordinating projects, programs and procedures. This position is responsible for assisting with Public Record Act (PRA) requests and this position will also support projects and programs within the City Manager’s Office. Incumbents in this position will have considerable independence in making judgment related to their assignments and must handle situations with great sensitivity, tact and diplomacy. May supervise or act as lead worker to staff involved in management activities.  
 
As a member of the City's unclassified service, this is an "at-will" position. The incumbent serves at the discretion of the City Manager.

The annual salary range for this position is $119,994.36 - $155,300.16.  This position will be filled at or near the minimum of the salary range.

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Any education or experience equivalent to:

• An Associate of Arts degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or closely related field; and
• Three (3) years of progressively responsible supervisory or lead administrative/management experience in a City Clerk's Office. 

Desirable Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or possession of a Certified Municipal Clerk certification or required within two (2) years of hire.

LICENSE
Possession of a valid California Class C driver's license is required at time of appointment and for duration of employment.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to perform all of the essential functions of the job assignment.
