The Santa Clara County Housing Authority (SCCHA) is the county’s largest provider of affordable housing, helping make rental housing safe and affordable for approximately 20,000 low-income households. 

How You Will Make an Impact:

The Santa Clara County Housing Authority (SCCHA) is seeking an Asset Manager to provide professional, technical and administrative asset management duties in support of a portfolio of Agency owned assets. The Asset Manager ensures compliance with programmatic and financial regulations, oversees property operations, and works with property management to ensure the physical, financial and social well-being of affordable housing assets.  The Asset Management Division, along with the Real Estate Development Division, are part of SCCHA’s Real Estate Department.  The team working in Real Estate is mission oriented, dynamic and collaborative. The team works closely together to creatively develop new affordable housing as well as preserve existing assets.

This position requires extensive knowledge of property maintenance, construction project management, capital planning and systems management, budget preparation and financial modeling to analyze portfolio performance. 

What Our Team Is Looking For: 

Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience likely to provide the required core competencies may be considered. A typical combination that is qualifying may include: 

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in community development, business, economics, urban planning, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field; and
• A minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible experience performing asset management, real estate development, property management, and/or construction management functions.
• Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) experience is desirable.
• Possession of a valid California Driver's License and satisfactory driving record at the time of appointment is required as a condition of initial and continued employment only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than the employee's ability to get to/from various work locations in a timely manner, is necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.

The incumbent of this position, under the general supervision of a Senior Accountant, will assist with the implementation of new Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) pronouncements, the preparation of financial reports for various Airport funds, and the proper accounting of the Airport's capital assets. The Accountant will have a key role in the preparation of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) and must ensure compliance with City-wide fiscal policies and procedures and governmental accounting and financial reporting standards for financial transactions.

Assigned duties will include:

• Assist with new GASB pronouncement implementations and ongoing compliance with GASB pronouncements
• Analyze financial transactions and prepare monthly profit and loss reports
• Review ongoing and new fixed asset projects to determine proper accounting treatment
• Participate in the yearly fixed asset verification process
• Review surplus forms
• Posts payments and reoccurring journal entries to the City's accounting system, Financial Management System (FMS) and the Airport's billing system (PROPworks)
• Collect lost and found cash at least quarterly
• Calculate outside billing rates at least once a year
• Assist with the year-end close process and preparation of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report, including but not limited to:
  • Prepare fund lead-sheets
  • Prepare fund trial balances
  • Upload balances to Caseware (Financial Statements Software)
  • Map accounts in Caseware
  • Prepare fixed asset footnote/reconciliations
  • Prepare schedule of transfers for consolidation
  • Upload audit schedules
  • Post the signed ACFR and other financial reports as needed to the Airport's website
• Assist with the State Controller reports
• Collaborate with the Finance and Budget teams
• Assist with updating policies and procedures as needed
• Assist with ad-hoc reports and tasks

The final candidate's qualifications and experience shall determine the actual salary. In addition to the starting salary, employees in this classification shall also receive an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation pay, which is included in the range below.

The Accountant I salary range is $84,630.00 - $102,931.92 annually.
The Accountant II salary range is $92,383.20 - $112,279.44 annually.

Salary Range:
Five (5) Steps: $26.43 - $32.12/ hour ($27.48 - $33.40 / hour effective 7/1/24)

Summary:
Under supervision, performs routine semi-skilled to skilled grounds landscaping and maintenance work; performs preventive maintenance of District properties; and performs other related duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintains turf and landscaped areas by mowing, edging and weeding; learns and assists with fertilizing, spraying with insecticides and herbicides, aerating and watering.
• Blows, sweeps and washes sidewalks, roadways, parking lots, tennis courts, and other hard­scapes to maintain a clean, safe and orderly condition.
• Assists with planting and removing trees, shrubs and plants; prunes shrubs and trees to shape and encourage growth, using hand and power saws as assigned.
• Assists with the installation, repair and maintenance of irrigation systems.
• Assists with athletic field preparation and the maintenance of play areas and related facilities.
• Operates a variety of power tools, hand tools and motor-driven equipment such as trucks and tractors.
• Loads and unloads equipment, supplies and refuse.
• Maintains daily work records, hazardous materials records and restricted pesticide-use records.
• Attends meetings; participates in safety training.
• Weekend work and rotating schedules may be required.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participates during disasters or when emergency response is needed.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge, skill, and/or ability listed below is qualifying.

Education/Experience:
A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: graduation from high school or GED equivalent, and one year of related grounds maintenance experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to park visitors and to other employees.

Math Ability:
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of money and weight measure­ment, volume and distance.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to use common-sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates and Licenses:

• Valid California driver’s license with a good driving record and current automobile insurance.

THE POSITIONS

The City of Livermore is currently accepting applications to fill one (1) Mechanic vacancy and one (1) Senior Mechanic vacancy in the Fleet Services Section of the Maintenance Division.

Mechanics at all levels perform maintenance and repair services on heavy/light City vehicles/equipment, such as fire trucks, automobiles, construction equipment, street sweepers, lawn mowers, stationary generators; and perform other duties as assigned.

The Mechanic is a journey level classification in the Mechanic series. The Mechanic performs a range of skilled tasks requiring journey level mechanical ability and aptitude. Work assignments are performed according to established rules and procedures.

The Senior Mechanic is an advanced journey and lead level position classification in the Mechanic series and may be distinguished from those in the Mechanic class by the broader range of responsibilities and leading a crew. Senior Mechanics provide lead direction and training to section staff.

The City of Belmont is looking for an experienced professional for the position of Budget Manager. Under general direction of the Finance Director, the Budget Manager administers a variety of complex and professional budget and financial support functions within the Finance Department, including preparation and execution of all budgets, reports, accounting records, financial forecasts. This classification is responsible for the development, maintenance, and operation of the City's Annual Budget; providing financial information and analysis to aid in executive management decision making; performs the highest level of complex budget analysis and has frequent interaction with staff and leaders of other City departments. This classification may also oversee general financial functions such as cash flow management, audit procedures, payroll processing, coordinate assigned activities with other departments and outside agencies, supervise finance professional, technical and clerical staff, and related work as assigned.  A hybrid/partially remote schedule may be approved by the department.

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

The Principal Accountant will be responsible for leadership and oversight of fiscal management functions for San José Clean Energy (SJCE). The incumbent in this position will lead the Department's fiscal/accounting team and oversee all fiscal management activities for SJCE, including but not limited to the following:

• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and business processes to comply with generally accepted accounting principles and satisfy the financial management requirements associated with long-term power purchase agreements;
• Lead the development of SJCE standalone audited basic financial statements and SJCE financial statements in the City's Annual Comprehensive Financial Report;
• Prepare quarterly financial statements (unaudited);
• Facilitate external auditor inquiries for standalone financials, City Annual Comprehensive Financial Report, and Agreed-Upon Procedure engagements;
• Lead the preparation of quarterly financial statements (unaudited);
• Analyze the impact of GASB pronouncements on SJCE's financial statements and develop accounting practices to satisfy GASB pronouncements;

• Manage external auditor inquiries pertaining to SJCE standalone financial statements and City Annual Comprehensive Financial Report.

Mill Valley Recreation is a 7-day a week operation.

Recreation Coordinator I - Facilities schedule may include weekday, weekend, early morning and evening shifts. Schedule is subject to change depending on facility and supervisor needs.

• Act as the primary point of contact for rental inquiries, promptly responding to emails, phone calls, and in-person inquiries regarding facility rentals.
• Facilitate the rental booking process by liaising with internal staff and external parties to schedule rental dates, coordinate setup requirements, and confirm rental agreements.
• Oversee the rental application process by providing interested parties with necessary documentation, rental agreements, and pricing details.
• Collect and review rental applications, ensuring all required information is complete and accurate.
• Provide timely updates to both renters and internal stakeholders regarding rental status, payment deadlines, and any changes to rental arrangements.
• Maintain organized records of rental bookings, payments, and rental agreements, ensuring compliance with rental policies and procedures. 
• Schedule and provide regular in-service training for facilities staff. 
• Plan, develop and implement programs and events.
• Evaluate the progress and effectiveness of scheduling and programming utilizing measurable outcomes.
• Assist in the development of policies, procedures, contracts, and manuals for facility users and staff.
• Provide assistance and guidance to facility users, anticipate and resolve problems, provide quality customer service.
• Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
