This position at the Glenn County Community Action Department works under the general direction from professional, supervisory, or management staff, and does not exercise supervision over staff. This position provides community outreach advocacy services, understands Health Systems, performs prevention, informational sessions, and outreach for at-risk populations; prepares, researches, and presents health system materials; and performs related duties as assigned. This position is a three (3) year limited term position, and is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.
This position is located at the Glenn County Community Action Department. The Community Action Program Specialist I position is the entry level class within the series and performs a significant portion of the work assigned to the journey level, without the full responsibility expected at the full journey level. The Community Action Program Specialist II is the full journey level class within the series and is distinguished from the entry level class by the performance of the full range of duties, including the more complex cases.

The Crossing Guard position is a temporary position, approximately five hours per day, two (2) hours in the morning and three (2) hours in the afternoon, Monday through Friday. Crossing Guards work a school year (September through June). Applicants must be able to work outdoors, have reliable transportation or ability to report to assignment consistently.
This position under general supervision will perform a wide variety of duties involving accounting and fiscal functions for the Community Action Department in the Administrative/Fiscal Units; a fiscal and accounting background is desired. This position is at-will, temporary, and part-time and is scheduled for up to twenty-five (25) hours per week. This recruitment may be used to establish a list to fill future vacancies for the next twelve (12) months.
