Definition

Distinguishing Characteristics
This is the advanced lead level in the Staff Specialist series. Incumbents may provide lead direction and may be assigned to perform the more complex duties. This class is distinguished from the Supervising Staff Specialist in that the latter assigns, supervises, reviews and evaluates the work of assigned staff. DEFINITION

Under general supervision, the Plant Operator II during an assigned shift is responsible for operation of the wastewater treatment plant and for maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

Monitors the operation of the wastewater treatment plant; operates treatment facility equipment such as settling tanks, pumps, activated sludge process, digesters, centrifuge, chlorinators and valves to control flow and processing of wastewater sludge and effluent; monitors gauges, dials, meters and control panels, and other recording instruments, interpreting results to determine processing requirements, and records data; oils, greases, and cleans equipment; services and maintains a variety of plant equipment; extracts samples and performs laboratory tests and analysis; inspects plant equipment and facilities to locate and report needed repairs; performs general plant maintenance work, such as sweeping, cleaning, sanding, and painting; performs general grounds maintenance work; maintains routine and daily records and shift logs; assists in the training of other plant operators, makes operating decisions in the absence of supervisory personnel; may have to work under adverse conditions.

About the Position

Position is responsible for a wide variety of recreation activities, including supervising Youth Center gym rentals and scorekeeping for adult and youth sports leagues (softball, basketball, flag football soccer, bocce ball, kickball, corn hole). Responsibilities during scorekeeping will include head on site supervisor, set up and cleanup of facility or field, maintain score and game time. Receives general supervision from a full-time Recreation Department staff member; may work under functional supervision of a Program Coordinator as assigned.

Schedule will vary depending on sports season; mornings, nights, and weekends as scheduled. Monday-Friday between hours 5:00pm-10:30pm, and weekends as scheduled.

About the Position

Positions in this classification perform work in the organization and implementation of a wide variety of recreation activities.

DEFINITION
Under general supervision, provides technical and administrative support work in a variety of Human Resources functions, including benefits, onboarding/offboarding and other human resources programs.

The Risk Management Program Manager (Program Manager), reporting to the Deputy Director of Human Resources/ Risk Manager, will oversee the following three programs:

• Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title I workplace accommodations program for employees and job candidates with disabilities.
• Leaves of Absence program for managing and monitoring the administration of claims for leave of absence.
• Workers' Compensation Program.

The Program Manager will direct the work of the staff in these units and support the team in the fulfillment of their duties in these program areas including their communication with employees, managers, insurance carriers, medical personnel, lawyers, and vendors. Education and Experience:

Central County Fire Department (CCFD) serves the Cities of Burlingame and Millbrae and the Town of Hillsborough. The Department serves a population of 66,045 from six fire stations across a service area of approximately 15 square miles.
