This position is housed in the Mental Health division of the Health and Human Services Agency. Under general supervision, this position performs a variety of para-professional and complex duties for eligible individuals, families, and groups. If they do not already have the knowledge, this person will have the ability to learn federal, state, and local policies, procedures, laws, and regulations. This position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.
 

JOB DUTIES

• Plans, assigns, supervises, and reviews the work of employees performing journey level case management; selects, trains, evaluates, and disciplines subordinate staff.
• Assess client’s basic living requirements and assist in obtaining assistance as necessary; serve as an advocate for clients in court as necessary.
• Leads and/or participates in developing and implementing community service, outreach and client advocacy programs.
• Provide program information to the community.
• Attend meetings, training and workshops with other departments, government agencies and local agencies in matters regarding mental and public health services issues.

The City of Marysville seeks a multi-tasking, collaborative team player to work in a fast-paced environment which requires juggling a variety of duties and assignments, while supporting the Administration and Finance Department.  Specifically, tasks will include:

• Prepares and processes necessary forms for new hires, workers compensation claims; conducts interviews to obtain information for personnel processing and assists in completing forms; orients new employees.
• Prepares payroll documents for employees and benefit changes; acts a liaison between employees, insurance carriers or retirement system to solve problems and answer questions; refers employees to the proper source for information.

• Actively participates in and may lead citywide training in human resource subject areas.
• Conducts research; compiles and prepares statistical information, charts and graphs, and periodic and special reports regarding personnel department activities including classification specification comparisons to determine if other agencies have classifications comparable with Yuba City; responds to salary surveys.
• Plans and participates in recruitment and selection processes; prepares job announcements, advertising materials, places media and internet ads.
• Screens applications to determine that qualifications are met.
• Assists in the preparation and administration of exams, arranges for oral appraisal panels, prepares letters and informational packages for oral boards and briefs members; schedules candidates for testing and interview processes.
• Maintains the applicant tracking system, notifies candidates of the selection procedure results, computes scores, and prepares eligibility lists and certifications.
• Assists in the Completion of annual reporting (ACA) and other benefit-based reporting e.g. Health Insurance based reporting, Deferred Compensation reporting, CalPERS reporting.
• Composing confidential correspondence, letters, and miscellaneous documents.
• Provides support to the City’s negotiations team by taking notes, conducting, and preparing research as directed, filing, and organizing bargaining related materials, formatting of bargaining unit contracts as well as initial contract edits.
• Provides support to a wide variety of City Boards including preparing correspondence, documents for personnel hearings, and setting up for the hearing and other Board functions.
• May provide administrative support to the City Clerk’s office.
• Promotes City wide wellness programs and organizational culture.
• Interprets, applies, and explains applicable City codes, policies and state and federal laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
Dispatch Operations:

• Operate a Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) console with a multi-line telephone system, radio console, and office computer terminal.
• Answer incoming calls and gather necessary information to evaluate the nature and urgency of the situation, and triage the call appropriately.
• Following applicable policies, procedures, and guidelines, dispatch appropriate Fire and EMS units, ensuring a prompt and accurate response.
• Keep track of the location and status of fire apparatus, units, and investigators, updating as needed.

Communication and Coordination:

• Transmit critical messages to Fire/EMS units responding to emergencies.
• Provide emergency medical self-help instructions to citizens while EMS units are en route.
• Coordinate with external agencies, such as utility companies, water services, and law enforcement agencies, as needed.

Support and Documentation:

• Answer general inquiries or refer calls to the appropriate department for non-emergency concerns.
• Complete department forms, maintain accurate logs, and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Participate in regular training, drills, and public education programs.

Customer Service and Continuous Improvement:

• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve the application of operations and work processes, ensuring high-quality customer service.

San Mateo County Health, Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) division is seeking well-qualified individuals for the position of Clinical Services Manager II – Behavioral Health Housing Interventions.  
 
This full-time permanent Clinical Services Manager II will serve as a strategic and technical subject matter expert responsible for overseeing a key emerging priority area for BHRS. The position will be responsible for successful implementation of Proposition 1 Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA) Housing Interventions requirements and other housing-related strategies for individuals living with serious mental illness and substance use disorders. This role will lead and support BHRS teams with mapping and documenting the current state of behavioral health housing workflows, systems and processes to inform changes and decision making required to support improvement of client outcomes and increased access to permanent supportive housing. The Clinical Services Manager II will collaborate with clinical and operational leadership, data analysts, consultants, community-based providers, managed care plans, housing and homeless service providers, and other key stakeholders to ensure that implementation solutions lead to a seamless experience for the most vulnerable behavioral health clients. 

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Demonstrated expertise in implementing Housing First principles and evidence-based housing interventions to support behavioral health clients.
• A proven record of success in behavioral health program supervision and oversight
• Collaborative, hands-on leadership abilities, with capability of guiding change management, implementing new and innovative solutions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and improving clinical efficiency and client care.
• Experience collaborating effectively for system-level coordination with other county departments, housing developers, service providers, health jurisdictions, and other stakeholders.
• At least five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in behavioral health systems, clinical operations and stakeholder engagement and coordination, including two (2) years in a supervisory or lead capacity.
• Knowledge of public sector behavioral health systems, Medi-Cal billing, and state regulatory reporting requirements is preferred.

Canyon Vista is one of several housing projects that supports behavioral health clients.   Canyon Vista is located on the Cordilleras Health and Healing Center Campus in Redwood City.  Telecare provides onsite support for the residents, and Abode oversees property management.   Canyon Vista consists of 57 co-housing units, 27 permanent units and 28 transitional units.  The transitional units includes 15 dedicated Behavioral Health Bridge Housing units.

Qualifications

Licensure/Certification: 

• Requires possession of a clinical license in psychology, social work, nursing, marriage and family therapy or the equivalent.

San Mateo County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) is seeking an experienced and compassionate Supervising Mental Health Clinician to lead the Older Adult System of Integrated Services (OASIS) team. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of homebound older adults living with serious mental illness. 

 

As a Supervising Mental Health Clinician, you’ll oversee a dedicated, multidisciplinary team of clinicians, nurses, psychiatrists, peer specialists, interns and vocational rehabilitation trainees who deliver field-based, recovery-oriented care throughout San Mateo County. You’ll provide clinical supervision, guide daily operations, coordinate new referrals, and ensure timely documentation and service delivery.

The Supervising Mental Health Clinician is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Leadership, Supervision & Program Management

• Serve as Unit Supervisor, planning, assigning, training, and supervising interdisciplinary clinical staff, interns, and trainees.
• Complete annual evaluations and address personnel concerns.
• Plan, implement, and coordinate all unit activities and ensure program procedures comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Participate in administrative and leadership meetings to develop program plans and review operations.
• Maintain unit records, collect statistical data, and prepare annual program reports.

• Attend multidisciplinary meetings, including with Ron Robinson Senior Care and other assigned committees or workgroups.
• Collaborate with service providers supporting older adults connected with the Golden Gate Regional Center.

Program Operations

• Monitor and consult with contract providers to ensure compliance and resolve service issues.
• Provide both client-centered and program-centered consultation and community education to external agencies.
• Ensure coverage for Officer of the Day assignments.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Licensure/Certification: Possession of a current California license in at least one of the following: Clinical Psychology, Clinical Social Worker or Marriage and Family Therapy.
 
Education and Experience:  Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is a Master's degree in a mental health specialty, such as social work, nursing, or clinical counseling and two years of professional post-graduate experience in a mental health setting.

THE POSITION

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is currently hiring to fill one full-time vacancy for the position of Clinical Therapist II within the Mobile Crisis Care Program (MCCP). 

Tri-City’s MCCP operates 24/7 to provide crucial support in mobile crises. As such, the schedule will involve a 3/12 shift pattern, consisting of three twelve-hour days per workweek and one alternating eight-hour day every other week. Shifts may include evenings, weekends, daytime hours, and holidays.

The specific shift and schedule will be determined by the supervisor; however, the first one to two months of training will follow a 5-day-per-week, 40-hour-per-week schedule

Examples of shifts are included below:

• Day Shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, or 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Night Shifts: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 7:00 PM - 3:00 AM, 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM, or 8:00 PM - 4:00 AM

Weekend and night shifts will be entitled to Shift Differential Pay of $2.50 per hour on weekdays (Monday through Friday) and $3.50 per hour on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Holiday shifts will be entitled to Holiday Pay.

Tri-City is looking for individuals to serve as Clinical Therapist II on a full-time basis for the MCCP. The MCCP Clinical Therapist II will be part of a team that provides crisis intervention and stabilization, linkage and referral, consultation, and education within the scope of practice. The MCCP Clinical Therapist II will report to the Mobile Crisis Care Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Program Manager.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Respond to client’s (Full-Service Partnership and Adult and Children’s Outpatient Programs and other specialty mental health services) crisis calls with or without law enforcement;
   

• Perform field-based and telephone emergency mental health evaluations and crisis stabilization in accordance with agency procedure;
   

• Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services to individuals, groups, and families;
   

• Identify treatment needs and make appropriate referrals for necessary services;
   

• Assist clients and relatives with understanding behavioral health problems and their reaction to them;
   

• Work on a multidisciplinary team for crisis response.
