Glenn County Health and Human Services Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to serve as a Volunteer Behavioral Health Hearing Officer. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring fair and just hearings for individuals facing behavioral health challenges. As a Hearing Officer, you will be responsible for conducting hearings, reviewing cases, and making decisions that uphold the rights and well-being of those involved. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the mental health and overall welfare of your community. This role meets all requirements for a hearing officer set forth by CA Welf & Inst Code § 5256.1 (2022).
 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: Five years' experience in mental health.

License: The certification review hearing officer shall be either a state qualified administrative law hearing officer, a physician and surgeon, a licensed psychologist, a registered nurse, a lawyer, a certified law student, a licensed clinical social worker, a licensed marriage and family therapist, or a licensed professional clinical counselor.

Salary:
$96,681.00 - $105,865.50 Annually (Engineer I)
$101,653.50 - $122,440.50 Annually (Engineer II)

Description:
There are currently three (3) full-time vacancies between the Engineering and Construction Divisions that will be filled at the Engineer I or Engineer II level. Candidates will be considered for the level(s) for which they meet minimum qualifications.

The Engineer I – II series provides technical support of the assessment of infrastructure, engineering planning, development and construction of capital improvement projects, traffic engineering and operations, and review of private development projects for conformance with County standards and requirements. The Engineer I – II reviews, analyzes, and prepares studies, technical reports, construction plans, specifications, estimates, schedules, and correspondence related to a variety of projects such as land development, flood control and drainage systems, commercial buildings, roads, traffic control systems, bridges, and other structures.

Opportunity:
Highly qualified Engineer I – II candidates will have the ability to apply principles of logic and scientific reasoning to develop, evaluate, and recommend courses of action or solutions to complex problems. Highly qualified candidates will be able to communicate verbally and in writing to effectively convey technical data and information. Work experience or advanced coursework related to the design or construction of roads, bike/pedestrian facilities, commercial buildings, drainage systems, utilities, traffic control systems, bridges or retaining walls is desired. Ideal candidates will be natural leaders with a desire to learn and grow within the organization, including earning their professional licensure in order to take on assignments of increasing responsibility.

The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the position of Public Health Nurse Intern/Public Health Nurse in the Health and Human Services Department. This position provides the full range of public health nursing services including teaching, health assessment, and counseling services in homes, clinics, schools and community centers in connection with the prevention and control of diseases and adverse health conditions. Public Health Nurses are assigned to specific programs such as Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health, California Children’s Services, Child Health and Disability Prevention, Foster Care and communicable disease control. Performs related work as assigned.

Public Health Nurse Intern: is a recruiting and training level class established to qualify candidates for duties as a PHN in Yuba County Health & Human Services Department. Under close supervision, incumbents learn and perform a variety of public health nursing duties in assigned program areas while pursuing a Public Health Nurse Certification. Upon satisfactory completion of the PHN Certification, the PHN Intern are eligible for promotion to the level of PHN. Incumbents who do not successfully complete the PHN certification as prescribed herein may be released from employment.

Public Health Nurse: is the entry level in this class series. Initially under close supervision, incumbents learn and perform a variety of public health nursing duties in assigned program areas. As experience is gained, assignments become more complex and are performed under more general supervision.

The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the position of Registered Nurse in the Public Health Division within the Health and Human Services Department. Under general direction, the Registered Nurse promotes general health in the community through education and outreach; performs a range of nursing tasks such as specimen collection and processing; administering medication/injections, diagnostic skin tests and immunizations; completes appropriate paperwork such as logs, reports, and forms; coordinates the patient’s medical care with private physicians, public facilities and other health centers; reviews laboratory results; assists in monitoring quality assurance, infection control and safety activities; participates in COVID-19 response activities including testing and other activities; administration of general nursing care, including general health screenings; provision of quality nursing care to both adult and pediatric patients in a variety of settings in conjunction with or under the direction of the Public Health Officer. The Process Control Technician performs a variety of technical and professional engineering duties related to the design, installation, set-up, programming, troubleshooting and maintenance of hardware, software and instrumentation associated with the District’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.

They support Operations and Maintenance by troubleshooting, researching, designing, purchasing, and installing field instrumentation, programmable logic controller (PLC), operator interface terminals (OIT), variable speed drives, electrical systems, and other appurtenances. The Process Control Technician provides PLC and OIT programming and installation support making programming changes as required for the efficient operation of new and existing District facilities.

Qualifications
Any combination of training, education and experience which demonstrates possession of the knowledge and abilities stated above and the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Experience and Education

• Graduation from high school or equivalent, supplemented by college or equivalent course work in engineering, electronics, instrumentation, control systems, and/or computer systems.
• Two years of increasingly responsible experience involving the configuration and programming of process control, instrumentation and operator interface terminals.
• A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field from an accredited college or university is desirable.

Licenses and Certification

• Possession of a valid and appropriate California Driver License with a satisfactory driving record to maintain insurability.
• Possession of a State Water Resources Control Board Distribution Operator Certification for Grade D1 is desirable.
