Building Attendant I/II
Temporary / Part-Time Postion - No Benefits
Approximately 20 hours per week - Evenings & Weekends
(Not to exceed 1,000 hours in a fiscal year)
The Belmont Parks and Recreation Department is recruiting for part-time Building Attendants. Building Attendants provide operational supervision of facilities during the absence of full-time staff.
This position is temporary, part-time and is limited to a maximum of 130 hours per month AND 960 hours per fiscal year. Typical work schedule will be three 8-hour shifts per week, excluding weekends and evenings.THE POSITION
To perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the construction, maintenance, and repair of streets, sidewalks, signs, and tree maintenance. The purpose of this recruitment is to fill a current temporary/part-time vacancy, as well as establish an eligibility list for future vacancies.

Depending on their experience, individuals may be assigned to work in Trees, Streets, Facilities, Parks, or Water. Temporary employees will operate and maintain a variety of maintenance equipment, including dump trucks, stump grinders, brush chippers, aerial lifts, forklifts, lawn mowers, backpack blowers, backhoes, jack hammers, lawn edger’s, hedge trimmers, concrete saws, chain saws and hand tools.
