THE POSITION

Reporting to the Director of Administrative Services, the Management Analyst (Risk Management) provides professional support to risk management programs including: workers' compensation, safety compliance, review and approval of contracts and Certificates of Insurance, risk transfer, and leave and disability administration.

About Detention Services & Yuba County:

Our Department believes people can change and we can be instrumental in supporting that change.  We are  a small workplace family that supports one another to accomplish our mission and allow our team members to live full lives outside the workplace. Under general supervision, performs professional human resources work involving a wide variety of human resources functions.

Distinguishing Characteristics
This is the journey level in the Human Resources Analyst series. This level is characterized by assignments that are complex and sensitive in nature and require a high level of competence and understanding of a functional area(s). The Infrastructure Maintenance Division of DOT is looking to fill 16 full-time vacant positions. These positions perform work in the maintenance and repair of concrete, pavement, sewers, landscaping, traffic signs, and traffic markings. Duties include digging holes, trenches, and ditches. They also operate a wide range of hand, mechanical, and power tools, as well as a variety of light and heavy vehicles, trucks, and equipment relevant to work performed, ensuring compliance with safe working practices. Maintenance crews provide services seven days a week. Individuals in this classification may be required to work alternate work shifts, including grave and swing, weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call.

This recruitment will encompass three (3) different positions with the City of Marysville (Human Resources Manager (HR), Assistant to the City Manager (ACM) and City Clerk (CC); due to this caveat this classification specification will list duties and responsibilities for the three (3) positions.
The Human Resource Manager will conduct, lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. ACM - To perform a variety of administrative and managerial responsibilities in the conduct and management of the activities of preparing City Council agendas, minutes, and Council packets, as well as responding to Public Records request and maintaining all official City records. CC- The City Clerk shall perform those duties set out in the City of Marysville Charter and ordinances, as well as is prescribed by State and other law.
