SALARY RANGE:
I – $26.71-$32.48 Per Hour
II – $29.50-$35.85 Per Hour
(New employees should anticipate being hired at the beginning of the salary range.)
INCENTIVE PAY:
Degree: 10% - LCSW or MFT Intern Designation, 15% - LCSW or MFT License.

THE POSITION
The HHSA Mental Health Counselor, Senior I/II position at the Glenn County Health and Human Services Agency performs a variety of professional duties in the provision of outpatient and crisis mental health services to individuals in the Behavioral Health Division. The HHSA Mental Health Counselor, Senior II is distinguished from the HHSA Mental Health Counselor, Senior I by the performance of the full range of duties as assigned, requiring attainment of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Marriage Family Therapist License. There are several positions available in our Children & Family unit, Adult unit, and Behavioral Health Treatment Court unit, which works with multiple County Agencies, and must be willing to provide services in the County Jail. These positions are scheduled for forty (40) hours per week. This recruitment may be used to establish a list to fill future vacancies for the next six (6) months.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Experience:
I - Some professional experience in the provision of psychiatric social services, counseling or substance abuse counseling.
II - Two years of professional experience in the provision of psychiatric social services, counseling or substance abuse counseling.
Training:
I/II - Master’s degree in psychology, behavioral science, social work or related area.
License or Certificate:
I - Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California driver’s license. Intern number from the Board of Behavioral Science or Board of Psychology as specified in the Business and Professional Code Section 4980.44.
II - Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Marriage, Family, and Child Therapist license.

RESIDENCE REQUIREMENTS: There is no residence requirement except certain positions may require the employee to reside within a reasonable commuting distance.
