The Community  Action Program Specialist determines client’s needs for program services and provides case management and/or crisis intervention in one or more various program areas. The Community Action Program Specialist II is the full journey level class within the series and is   distinguished from the entry level class by the performance of the full range of duties, including the more complex cases. WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Analyzes clients’ financial and eligibility information to determine initial or continuing eligibility for programs.

• Receives and responds to inquiries regarding program services from clients, other agencies, and the general public.

Under direction, provides lead direction to the staff engaged in the full range of assigned duties related to the City’s water distribution and treatment systems, and the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant Facility.

The Senior Utility Worker is the advanced journey-level classification in the Utility Worker series. Incumbents perform skilled duties in the operations and maintenance of the water distribution and treatment system, and plant operations and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant and provide lead direction and training to assigned crews.

Receives direction from the Utilities Superintendent and/or higher-level staff. Exercises technical and functional supervision over lower-level utilities staff.

Ross Valley Sanitary District is seeking an Inspector excited to join our high performing team. Inspectors work with contractors, homeowners and real estate agents to ensure construction projects meet District standards while educating and providing excellent customer service to the public.

Under general supervision of the Senior Engineer, the Inspector performs advanced, complex, and critical inspections of District infrastructure. Working independently, the Inspector is responsible for ensuring compliance with District regulations and codes related to the repair of District infrastructure, construction of private sewers, and collection system pump stations. Inspectors are also responsible for ensuring safety measures are applied at job sites.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Check and review construction plans for construction and repair on public and private sewers.

• Must have American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (or obtain within 1 year from time of hire).

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in recreation administration, physical education, leisure services or a related field AND
• Two (2) years of full-time or its equivalent of recreation experience, OR
• An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to video display.  The employee is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions and frequently works in evenings or weekends and inside environmental conditions.  The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally works with use of a personal vehicle.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
