Under general direction of the Community Development Director and City Manager, supervises and reviews the inspections of residential, commercial, industrial buildings and related structures for compliance to building codes and regulations, recommends code enforcement and building inspection policies to the City Council for adoption, supervises and directs the maintenance, construction, repair and improvements on City buildings and facilities, acts as the City’s Safety Officer; and does other related work as required.

An additional 5% step (Step F) is available to employees in this job classification after completion of five years of service, one year at Step E, and good performance evaluation.

ANNUAL SALARY PER LEVEL:
Building Inspector Code Enforcement Officer I: $52,623.75 - $68,008.60
Building Inspector Code Enforcement Officer II: $56,307.45 - $72,769.24
CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICIAL I/II/III
Level I: $4,637 - $5,636 per month
Level II: $5,116 - $6,219 per month
Level III: $6,076 - $7,386 per month
