The Head Lifeguard oversees the daily operations of the swim center by assisting in the planning, direction, leadership, and staffing of swim center programs, performing a variety of lifeguard tasks, clerical duties, and assisting with aquatic and recreational citywide special events. Duties will include: performing skilled inspections of varied public works, development and related projects; reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans, specifications and public works construction contracts; overseeing a variety of tests performed by contractors to verify compliance with City Standard Specifications and Details; scheduling and conducting preconstruction meetings that include contractors, project engineers, utility company representatives.

LIFEGUARD AND SWIM INSTRUCTOR
Salary: $15.84 - $16.62 (depending on experience and certifications)
Must be at least 15 years old and have the ability to obtain a work permit, if under the age of 18. Applicants must have completed and passed the Lifeguard Training class that includes CPR, FPR, and AED by June 1, 2018. WSI (water safety instructor) is highly recommended.
