 ABOUT THE POSITION

The City of Redwood City Public Works Services Department invites you to apply for the position of Utilities Field Supervisor in the Wastewater Division. The Wastewater Division operates and maintains the City’s sanitary sewer collection system and municipal stormwater system. Under general direction, the Utilities Field Supervisor plans, organizes, supervises, trains, and evaluates the work of assigned crews engaged in maintenance, repair, installation, construction, and regulatory compliance duties within the sanitary sewer collection system and municipal stormwater system.  Primary duties include supervising and evaluating performance of assigned staff, scheduling maintenance and repair work, responding to customer inquiries and requests, and traveling among various worksites to direct, supervise, and evaluate work performed in the field. The City of Foster City is seeking a qualified Senior Building Inspector who is detail-oriented and has the knowledge and experience in the areas of building inspection and safety and code compliance to join the Building Division of our Community Development Department. The Department consists of Building, Planning, and Code Enforcement Divisions and is headed by Community Development Director. 

Education and Experience
Any combination equivalent to experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities. A typical way would be:

Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent. A desired course of additional education would include two (2) years of college course work in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Inspection, or completion of an Apprenticeship Program in a building construction related field.

Experience: Three (3) years of experience to include a minimum of one (1) year full-time plan check experience and one (1) year of progressively responsible experience in a variety of municipal building inspection work.

Licenses, Certificates, Registration

• Possession of the International Code Council (I.C.C.) Plans Examiner Certificate and Full Combination Building Inspector Certificate.

Special Requirements
Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications; perform complex building, plumbing, mechanical and electrical inspections; interpret and apply provisions of pertinent codes and regulations, prepare accurate and concise reports; acquire and demonstrate skill supervising and managing work of others; learn administrative techniques, methods and procedures of personnel management and other skills required to assist in management of the Division operations; establish and assist in developing improvements to computerized Division operations; establish and maintain cooperative working relations with engineers, architects, contractors and the general public; attend work and perform duties on a regular and consistent basis.

Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed for relevant education, experience, training and other job related qualifications. Based upon a review of employment applications received, a limited number of qualified applicants will be invited to participate in the examination process. 

The process will consist of an Oral Panel Interview. An eligibility list will be established from those who pass the examination process with a score of 70% or higher. The Department
The Public Works Department is comprised of Regulatory Compliance, Engineering, Field Maintenance, Facilities/Fleet, Wastewater Treatment, and Asset Management Divisions. Each division is led by one of two Deputy Directors, who report to the Director of Public Works. The Position
The Administrative Assistant performs a wide variety of complex and difficult clerical and secretarial duties for a major division, office, City Boards, Commissions, or Council. This role receives general supervision from professional or management personnel, or a higher-level clerical position. May exercise direct or functional and technical supervision over lower-level clerical positions.  Some duties may include:

THE POSITION

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is currently hiring to fill a full-time vacancy for the position of Psychiatric Technician I/II (Licensed) within the Mobile Crisis Care Program (MCCP) for the day shift. 

Tri-City’s MCCP operates 24/7 to provide crucial support in mobile crises. As such, the schedule will involve a 3/12 shift pattern, consisting of three twelve-hour days per workweek and one alternating eight-hour day every other week. Shifts may include evenings, weekends, daytime hours, and holidays.

The specific shift and schedule will be determined by the supervisor; however, the first one to two months of training will follow a 5-day-per-week, 40-hour-per-week schedule

Examples of shifts are included below:

• Day Shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, or 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Night Shifts: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 7:00 PM - 3:00 AM, 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM, or 8:00 PM - 4:00 AM

Weekend and night shifts will be entitled to Shift Differential Pay of $2.50 per hour on weekdays (Monday through Friday) and $3.50 per hour on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Holiday shifts will be entitled to Holiday Pay.

• Provides education and training to clients, their families, and/or staff on the proper care and use of medications, including symptoms of, reactions to, or side effects of, specific medications; informs clients of the impact of abuse and/or misuse of medications.
   
• Conducts home/field visits to evaluate client’s physical environment and behavior such as anxiety, withdrawals, and behavioral health progression/regression.
   
• Takes and records measures of clients’ vital signs, physical condition, and behaviors; assists and observes clients self-dispense medication as prescribed by a psychiatrist and administers scheduled injections.
   
• Conducts medication checks on clients to assess their overall medication management capabilities; takes appropriate action if client poses danger with respect to the use or abuse of medication; observes, evaluates, records, and reports to professional staff changes in client’s condition.
   
• Motivates clients to develop self-reliance in daily living; encourages clients to participate in group and/or individual therapy/program activities.
