WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Transit Manager is an important part of the City's transit team that provide services including the Auburn Loop fixed route and Auburn OnDemand ride share programs.

Under direction of the Public Works Director, the Transit Manager is responsible for the management, supervision and participation in the daily operations of the Transit Division. The incumbent can expect to be involved in the daily operations, division’s budget, capital and grant-funded development projects, and a wide variety of administrative, research and analytical duties in support of assigned department.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

The following duties are typical for this classification. Actual work may vary based on department needs or change due to evolving business practices.

• Plans, prioritizes, assigns, supervises, reviews and participates in the daily operations and staff work of the Transit Division, participates in budget development and administration, and selects, trains and evaluates personnel.
• Establishes schedules and methods for providing transit services, schedules drivers and ensures coverage of shifts, coordinates maintenance and allocation of vehicles, provides safety training, and responds to accidents and incidents, conducts investigations, and takes corrective actions.
• Coordinates transportation needs for schools and special events, coordinates transit activities with other divisions and agencies, and performs customer relations tasks, including answering questions and issuing passes.
• Develops and implements goals, objectives, policies and priorities for the Transit Division, ensures compliance with established policies and procedures, and works with local businesses to promote transit services.
• Conducts research, analyzes data and prepares reports to support decision-making, provides staff assistance to higher-level management, identifies opportunities for service improvement, and recommends changes and improvements to standards and procedures.
• Participates in committees and prepares reports, represents the City at various meetings and events, attends professional group meetings to stay informed about industry trends.

 The Accounting and General Services Specialist III position is in the Community Action Department. This position performs a variety of highly complex technical para-professional administrative duties including lead and/or supervisory duties in support of one or more of the following functional areas; facilities management, fiscal and accounting; department administrative or department projects, or programs, that require a thorough knowledge of the terminology, procedures, and practices for the assigned functional area; and performs related work as assigned. The Accounting and General Services Specialist III classification differs from the level II classification, which is the journey level in the series and does not provide supervision or handle highly complex administrative support duties. WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Maintains routine and highly complex administrative, accounting, personnel, payroll, and/or fiscal records.

The Yuba County Probation Department is seeking to fill a full-time Correctional Technician position at its Youth Detention Facilities. Working under general supervision, the Correctional Technician is responsible for monitoring video and audio systems to maintain the safety and security of both youths and staff within the secure detention areas. Additional responsibilities include performing various technical and clerical tasks related to the intake and release process for juveniles at the Tri-County Juvenile Hall and Maxine Singer Youth Guidance Center, inputting relevant data into the booking system, documenting observations of juveniles, providing public reception and assistance, and other related duties as assigned.

What You Will Do

The Chief of Police is responsible for the planning, administration and operation of the APD under general administrative direction. Upon hire, the incumbent can expect to work closely with the City Manager, City Council, Placer County and community leaders to further learn, understand and address community public safety issues.

APD utilizes the Community-Oriented Policing philosophy and the Problem-Oriented Policing strategy to better serve the community. The Position

Locksmiths work in the Facilities Maintenance and Operations Division of the Public Works Department and install, maintain, repair, and service all the locking devices in County Facilities/Buildings, San Mateo Medical Center, Maple Street Correctional Center, Hall of Justice, Maguire Correctional Facility, Youth Services Center, homeless shelters etc.

 

Duties of the Locksmith include but are not limited to: servicing, repairing, and maintaining locks, door closers, and related hardware; maintaining stock for replacement of lock units and parts; maintaining repair and maintenance records, key issues, and duplicate key schedules; picking jammed locks using special tools; devising and adjusting master key systems; and planning lock security systems for County facilities.

 

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience as a locksmith in a commercial, governmental, or industrial setting, with preferred experience in jail locks and electronic lock systems. Familiarity with ADA compliance related to door operators and sliding door mechanics is also preferred. We are seeking individuals from the local Bay Area who have an interest in working for local government and bring relevant government experience to the role.

The Position
Under general direction from the Facilities Services Manager in the Public Works Department, the Lead Gardener provides leadership and direction to the landscape contractors; performs landscape maintenance functions; and operates a wide variety of landscape maintenance equipment. The incumbent is expected to perform the most skilled landscape maintenance, new installations, and repair work and take the lead in solving problems that occur in day-to-day activities.  

This position requires the Lead Gardener to work in person from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. There is an option for a 9/80 schedule after the probationary period.

The ideal candidate will understand Green Infrastructure, with an emphasis on bio-retention areas to control stormwater runoff.  Additionally, the ideal candidate will have experience in installing and repairing irrigation systems including controllers, be knowledgeable about pesticide control, fertilization methods, and materials, understand different types of soils and plants, and possess excellent customer service and communication skills.

The Position
In general, the Supervising Custodian is responsible for planning, assigning, monitoring, and evaluating the work of a group of custodians engaged in cleaning and general maintenance of County buildings, offices, institutions, and other facilities.
 
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of recent custodial/janitorial experience in a large institution, including one year in a supervisory role. They should possess extensive technical knowledge of modern custodial equipment and cleaning methods, along with basic computer skills.

This ideal candidate also is an effective communicator who builds trust, motivates a cohesive team, and works alongside them to foster a results-driven attitude. They are a critical thinker who goes beyond routine tasks, maintains a meticulous approach to cleanliness, and ensures a professional environment. The Position
Under general supervision, Painters perform a large variety of painting and wall covering tasks on County buildings and property. The County buildings include but are not limited to office buildings, public hospitals, secure correctional facilities, and psychiatric facilities. Most work involves repainting and touch-up of interior and exterior surfaces in the facilities.

Working with a small team of highly skilled individuals to provide a safe environment for our patients, their families, and our co-workers, Painters speak with customers regarding their jobs; identify materials and time needed for jobs; purchase painting equipment, materials and supplies; calculate job costs; schedule jobs; and log/record work completed. Jobs may require coordination of work with stationary engineers working in the facilities or working independently. Painters also travel independently to different areas in the County to perform unassisted graffiti abatement on public property.
 
The Ideal Candidate will possess:

• At least 5 years of journey-level professional work experience. 
• Completed a 4-year apprentice program.
• Color matching skills. 
• Experience in organizing and keeping inventory. 
• Knowledge of California's requirements for storage and disposal of painting materials.
• The ability to work independently in different locations with minimal supervision.

The NCRIC/NCHIDTA fusion center is located at the Phillip Burton Federal Building, 450 Golden Gate Avenue, San Francisco, CA. Most Lead Intelligence Analyst positions are in San Francisco. Positions may become available at off-site locations within the area of responsibility. The hours of service are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. Personnel assigned to the position may work 4 days a week with 10-hour days.

• Uses an analytical thought process and can analyze a variety of criminal information received from various sources and formulate theories regarding criminal trends, patterns and perpetrators, and evaluate criminal intelligence information to develop criteria to measure the reliability of such information.
• Works independently and in a team setting.
• Has the ability to prepare complex and detailed written reports and can communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Is knowledgeable in the methods and techniques used in researching, collecting, compiling, sorting, evaluating, and analyzing intelligence, and crime information.
• Is knowledgeable in the development and processing of the intelligence cycle.
• Has a strong computer background including a proficiency in all of Microsoft Office Suite software applications, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping and statistical analysis and database applications.

 

It is highly desirable that applicants possess three (3) years of experience working in the crime analysis and/or intelligence fields and have completed at least one of the programs listed below:

• Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) Certification

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is:

Education equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Quantitative Analysis, Information Management, Criminal Justice or a related field; and

Three (3) years of experience involving crime data collection, statistical research and analysis, and working with criminal intelligence automated systems design and implementation.

 

Licensure/Certification: Possession of or acquisition of a valid certification in Crime and Intelligence Analysis within twelve (12) months of appointment or other training certification that demonstrates qualifications that meet or exceed competencies identified in the Global Justice Information Sharing Initiative, Law Enforcement Analytic Standards Booklet, 2nd Edition: Law Enforcement Analytic Standards (ojp.gov) , and the Common Competencies of Intelligence Analysts, 1st Edition: Common Competencies for State, Local, and Tribal Intelligence Analysts (ojp.gov)

 

Other Requirements: Must successfully complete a thorough law enforcement background investigation/security clearance prior to appointment and obtain a National Security Clearance within the first eighteen (18) months of employment. The law enforcement background investigation and the National Security Clearance require successful completion of a polygraph examination.

The County of Yuba is recruiting for the position of Social Worker III/III Master’s Level in the Child and Adult Protective Services Division of the Health & Human Services Department in an effort to establish an eligibility list for future vacancies. Under general supervision, incumbents are fully competent to independently perform the most complex and sensitive social services case work by providing a variety of services to County residents; identify, access and document abuse and neglect cases; provide counseling and support services to children and parents; refer clients to services; prepare detailed, complex court documents and testify in court as required; and perform related work as assigned.
