The Parks Division of the Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services is recruiting to fill multiple full-time Gardener positions available in various park districts. Under direct supervision of the Parks Facilities Supervisor, Gardeners are responsible for performing various gardening and grounds keeping duties in parks, municipal grounds, and trails within a Regional Park or Park District. The Sewerage Agency of Southern Marin (SASM) is a joint powers authority (JPA) that provides wastewater collection, treatment, water reclamation, and disposal for 30,000 Southern Marin residents. The City of Mill Valley, a member of the JPA, provides staff for SASM. Staff are hired by the City and operate under the Department of Public Works.
The salary ranges for Environment Inspector I and II are:
Environmental Inspector I - $77,750.40 - $94,411.20
Environmental Inspector II - $85,737.60 - $104,228.80
The actual salary shall be determined by the final candidate’s qualifications and experience. In addition to the base salary, employees in the Environment Inspector I/II classification shall also receive an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation pay.
