The position will be responsible for Development Engineering. The selected candidate will work with developers and their engineers reviewing proposed development plans, issuing “will-serve” letters, determining development conditions and creating development agreements on all development projects within the City. The engineer will insure that public improvements meet all City standards. Experience either as a municipal development engineer or as a consultant working on development projects is desirable. The position will be filled at one of the following levels:
Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART), the Bay Area’s newest transit system, seeks an experienced Assistant Engineer to perform field and office engineering work in support of SMART's Train Control Systems. As Assistant Engineer for Rail Systems you will act as an assistant to the Manager of Train Control Systems by participating in the design, construction and implementation of a variety of systems engineering projects related to train control, grade crossing warning systems and networking.
