StopWaste is hiring an Energy Council Program Services Specialist to work on Bay Area Regional Energy Network (BayREN) programs. The position will conduct community outreach and engage with stakeholders to make energy upgrades and electrify multifamily and single family buildings in Alameda County and the larger Bay Area. It will also work on growing and strengthening the clean energy workforce to help achieve energy and climate goals. The City of San Rafael Library and Recreation Department is now accepting applications for the position of Facilities Attendant (two part-time/temporary positions available).  This position provides customer service to renters and program participants while assisting with the supervision of front counter/reception area, set up and breakdown equipment for scheduled activities, custodial and cleaning including but not limited to emptying trash, vacuuming, cleaning windows, cleaning restrooms, etc.; opening and securing facility before and after building use and interacting with instructors, clients, and the general public.  Bilingual in Spanish is desired.

The Facility Attendant performs custodial duties related to the care and cleaning of assigned facilities, performs a wide variety of duties for events, classes and programs, including setting up and tearing down of tables, chairs, equipment and supplies and will perform minor maintenance and repairs as needed.

CLASS CHARACTERISTICS:

The Sustainability Analyst II is the journey-level class in the Sustainability Analyst series. Incumbents are expected to be fully competent in all major solid waste and recycling program functions and able to independently perform assignments.

Incumbents at both levels are required to have an in-depth and comprehensive knowledge of the policies and procedures necessary to achieve program results.

Positions in the Sustainability Analyst series are flexibly staffed. Incumbents may advance to the higher level after gaining the knowledge, skill, experience, licenses, and certifications which meet the qualifications for and demonstrating the ability to perform the work of the higher-level class.

Minimum Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

Any combination equivalent to experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Experience: Five (5) years of increasingly responsible Human Resources management experience including assignments in the areas of recruitment, selection, classification, training, compensation, employee and labor relations, worker's compensation and safety administration, and employee benefits or other pertinent job-related areas, including two (2) years of supervisory or lead experience.

Education: Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in human resources, business, or public administration or closely related field.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Facility duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Unlock and lock buildings for renters and programs.
• Be present and assist renters during events.
• Set up and breakdown tables and chairs for rentals and program classes.
• Maintain and keep facilities clean during and after events.
• Move furniture/equipment and return to appropriate storage areas after events.
• Assist renters with facility equipment usage.
• Clean sinks, counters, mirrors, stalls, floors, restrooms, and garbage disposal before and after rentals and program classes to ensure facilities are clean inside and outside.
• Performs duties within OSHA standards.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED

Works under general supervision of the Facilities Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS
