ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Housing Coordinator supports the Housing and Community Development division by assisting in the formulation and implementation of the City’s affordable housing policies and programs. This position monitors the City’s inventory of affordable housing units for compliance with the applicable deed restrictions or affordability covenants, assists developers in complying with the City’s Affordable Housing Ordinance, and coordinates the funding processes for the City’s affordable housing funds. The Housing Coordinator stays current with local, state and federal housing laws and helps advance the various affordable housing policies and programs in the City’s Housing Element. This may include drafting funding agreements, reviewing scopes of work for housing rehabilitation projects, and income verification of applicants for affordable housing programs.

DEFINITION

Under the direction of the Housing and Community Development Manager, the position is responsible for the development, coordination and oversight of the City’s housing policies and programs to meet the City’s long and short-term housing goals and objectives.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

Identify and work with for-profit and non-profit housing development organizations in developing affordable housing projects; negotiate and monitor contracts; develop and evaluate RFP’s relating to affordable housing development; assist in developing new housing assistance programs, new housing development projects, criteria for new construction programs, and in negotiating lending agreements and contracts with financial institutions for housing programs; work on site acquisition for housing programs. Additional duties are to analyze housing project development Pro Forma; maintain a liaison relationship with the County, the State and Federal Agencies which administer housing programs; provide assistance to those individuals seeking housing assistance; monitor compliance of affordable housing projects; prepare and maintain the HUD Consolidated Plan and Annual Performance Reports; and, assist with the compiling of the Housing Element; and, performs related work as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of: Real Estate lending practices and underwriting standards, and housing development finance; as well as, knowledge and experience with housing funds and HUD’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME programs along with laws, regulations and funding requirements relating to State and Federal assisted housing programs.

Ability to: Prepare clear and concise written reports and recommendations, both written and oral, to the City Council, Daly City Housing Development Finance Agency, and at public meetings; maintain effective working relationships with City Council members, City Staff, the real estate development community, non-profit organizations, civic groups and the general public. Additionally, be sensitive to the housing needs of the City’s
lower-income residents, and translate knowledge into policy options for City Council and Housing Development Finance Agency programs. Interact positively and cooperate with co-workers, respond politely to customers, work as a team member, function under demanding time pressure, respond in a positive manner to supervision, and attend work and perform duties on a regular and consistent basis.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Planning, Sociology or a related field. A Master’s degree is highly desirable.

Experience: Three years of increasingly responsible experience with housing programs, construction industry, financial institutions, real estate and local agencies is required.

License: Possession of a valid California Class C California Drivers License.

San Mateo County Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to serve as Mental Health Program Specialist- Evidence-Based Practices & Revenue Optimization within the Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) division, supporting implementation of the Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA) and advancing system-wide transformation efforts.

Qualifications

Licensure/Certification:

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

This is the full journey-level classification in the wastewater treatment plant operator series. Incumbents independently perform the full range of wastewater treatment and reclamation and recycled water facilities and equipment operations and maintenance duties. Responsibilities include inspecting and attending to assigned areas in a timely manner to ensure the proper operation and maintenance of the City’s wastewater treatment plant systems and equipment. ABOUT THE POSITION

The City of Redwood City Public Works Services Department invites you to apply for the position of Public Works Maintenance Worker III Equipment Operator in the Right-of-Way Division. The Right-of-Way Division is responsible for maintenance of the City’s public right-of-way including streets and roadways, parking lots, roadway markings and painting, streetlights, traffic signals and signs, and street cleaning.  

The position will report to the Public Works Field Supervisor and will serve as a skilled maintenance worker operating a variety of heavy equipment in the construction and maintenance of public right-of-way- assets, assist in scheduling and reviewing work, perform a variety of skilled tasks in the construction, maintenance, repair streets and sidewalks, and occasionally lead a field crew in assigned work. Work will include the skillful operation of construction and maintenance equipment such as street sweepers, backhoes, paving machines, dump trucks, rollers, trucks, tractors, and skip loaders. The position will be involved in the construction and maintenance operation of streets, sidewalks and gutters, will spread asphalt in patching and repairing streets, read and interpret maps of service areas and sweeping districts, and provide technical guidance to less experienced workers.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The City of Redwood City, Police Department invites you to apply for the position of Administrative Secretary. The incumbent will perform a variety of confidential and complex secretarial and administrative duties as the court liaison as well as providing support to the Investigations Unit.

Typical duties may include the following: interact professionally and effectively with judges, district attorneys, defense attorneys, court personnel, law enforcement personnel, outside agencies, and members of the public; provide administrative and operational support for court-related functions and law enforcement investigations within the Police Department; prepare, process, maintain, and distribute court documents, reports, subpoenas, warrants, confidential criminal justice information, and related records in accordance with department policies, legal requirements, and confidentiality standards; serve as a liaison between the Police Department, courts, the District Attorney’s Office, and other agencies regarding scheduling, case information, filings, warrants, subpoenas, records, procedural matters, and time-sensitive deadlines; ensure criminal cases are adequately prepared for court proceedings by reviewing, analyzing, and organizing reports, citations, case files, digital evidence, body-worn camera footage, surveillance video, photographs, audio recordings, and related investigative materials for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with legal, statutory, and departmental requirements; respond to complaints and requests for information regarding department procedures, court processes, instructions, precedents, and regulations; research, compile, and analyze data for special projects and reports; initiate, maintain, and audit files, records, and databases related to court operations, case management, evidence, warrants, and other department records; assist with records retention and compliance with applicable laws, policies, and confidentiality requirements; maintain and update manuals, policies, and resource materials; monitor compliance with court orders, subpoenas, and legal deadlines; exercise independent judgment and discretion while working in a fast-paced environment involving sensitive and confidential information; provide backup support to other Police Department administrative staff as needed; and perform related duties as assigned. The Administrative Services Supervisor oversees and coordinates the Library’s internal administrative operations that include, but are not limited to, finance, accounting, human resources, and Board Administration. The position supervises and directs administrative staff, and performs complex, confidential, and responsible administrative work.
