The Department: 
 The Assistant City Clerk’s Office/City Manager’s Office is recruiting to fill a Deputy City Clerk. The Assistant City Clerk’s Office is organized under the City Clerk’s Office.  The Office of the Assistant City Clerk processes the agendas for and attends all meetings of the Council and Authorities Concurrent and Stadium Authority meetings, maintains accurate and up-to-date records of the proceedings of those meetings and makes those records open for public inspection. The Office of the Assistant City Clerk processes and maintains copies of City contracts, ordinances, resolutions and other official documents. The Office of the Assistant City Clerk manages and compiles City records in accordance with the Records Retention Schedule and in response to Public Records Act requests. The Office of the Assistant City Clerk administers campaign and disclosure laws, the Campaign Finance Ordinance, Regulation of Lobbying Activities program and the Calendars of Certain City Officials program. The Office of the Assistant City Clerk also administers oaths of affirmation pertaining to the affairs and business of the City and certifies copies of official records.
 
 The Position: 
 The Deputy City Clerk will report to the Assistant City Clerk and perform highly complex administrative and analytical work. This position will assist the Assistant City Clerk in the administration of the City Clerk's Office. The incumbent will assist in developing, implementing and coordinating projects, programs and procedures. This position is responsible for assisting with Public Record Act (PRA) requests and this position will also support projects and programs within the City Manager’s Office. Incumbents in this position will have considerable independence in making judgment related to their assignments and must handle situations with great sensitivity, tact and diplomacy. May supervise or act as lead worker to staff involved in management activities.  
 
As a member of the City's unclassified service, this is an "at-will" position. The incumbent serves at the discretion of the City Manager.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Any education or experience equivalent to:

• An Associate of Arts degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or closely related field; and
• Three (3) years of progressively responsible supervisory or lead administrative/management experience in a City Clerk's Office. 

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or possession of a Certified Municipal Clerk certification or required within two (2) years of hire.

To perform a variety of skilled and semiskilled horticulture tasks in the construction, maintenance and repair of parks, pools, recreation, and cemetery facilities and buildings.  The purpose of this recruitment is to fill a current vacancy in the Community Services Department, as well as establish an eligibility list for future vacancies.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The City of Woodland is looking to fill a Park Maintenance Worker I/II position in the
Community Services Department. The Ideal Candidate for the current vacancy is someone
who has a good understanding of many aspects of the maintenance of facilities, parks, janitorial, and horticulture. This position requires a “team player” with good interpersonal, time
management, and communication skills. The Ideal Candidate must be highly self-motivated,
able to work independently with minimal oversite, demonstrate good judgement, as well as be
organized, flexible, approachable, resourceful, and a positive team contributor on a
consistent basis. This position will also require the selected candidate work weekends,
standby and overtime as necessary.

Park Maintenance Worker I:

This is an entry-level classification in the park maintenance worker series. Positions in this class normally perform a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled duties. May be required to work any shift, including a regular work-shift that includes weekends and holidays, and routinely participate in a weeklong stand-by shift. Park Maintenance Worker I will usually exercise less independence, discretion and judgment on matters related to work procedures and methods.

Park Maintenance Worker II:

This is the journey level in the park maintenance worker series. This class differs from Parks Maintenance Worker I in that incumbent performs more complex parks maintenance duties, including the requirement to work any shift, weekends, and holidays, to work independently, exercise judgment, and operate the full range of tools and mechanical equipment related to a specific assignment. The incumbent Park Maintenance Worker II may also be expected to assist in the oversight and training of less experienced personnel. Positions in this class are flexibly staffed and are normally filled by advancement from the Park Maintenance I level, or when filled from the outside requires prior work experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

Performing general grounds cleaning, including emptying trash receptacles, mopping, sweeping, and raking City parks, ball field maintenance/set up, and Cemetery as needed. Maintain irrigation, maintain synthetic turf, mow, cultivate, prune, weed, renovate, and fertilize grass, plants, trees, flowers, and shrubs. Operate power mowers, turf groomers, chain saws, rototillers, aerators, hedgers, spreaders, front-end loader, edgers, air compressors, and other equipment. Utilize proper safety precautions related to all performed work, while all safe work procedures i.e., necessary PPE. Drive vehicles and equipment as required. Prepare and maintain athletic fields and related facilities, swimming pools, and cemetery/interment operations.  Regular, predictable, consistent and timely attendance is an essential function of the position, in that the failure of such attendance undermines the City’s ability to provide critical services to the employees, department and the public.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS 

Install, maintain and replace playground equipment and fences; assemble tables, benches and bleachers. Applying fertilizers and spraying various herbicides and pesticides in City park and recreation areas. Respond to inquiries from the general public. Install, maintain and repair irrigation systems. Assist in setting up community services and special events. Maintain, repair and replace plumbing systems and fixtures such as light switches, motors, wall receptacles, faucets, drinking fountains, water heaters, water closet, urinals, water regulators and pressure valves, and building maintenance as required. Work cooperatively with others. Meet all Standby Program requirements; work any shift including weekends and holidays. Perform related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Park Maintenance Worker I:

Education:  High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:  Six (6) months of experience in the care and maintenance of landscapes or facilities.

License and Certificate:  Required upon hire, possession of a valid California Driver’s License.

Park Maintenance Worker II:

Education:  High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:  One (1) year of experience performing duties comparable to those of a Park Maintenance Worker I in the City of Woodland.

License and Certificate:  Required upon hire, possession of a California Driver’s License. It is highly desirable to possess a State of California Qualified Applicator Certificate, Category B.

POSITION

The City Clerk plans, organizes, and directs all functions and responsibilities of the City Clerk's office as specified by the City Council and as required by law.  This is an exempt Management Position. The incumbent serves in an at-will capacity and sits at the pleasure of the City Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*

The City Clerk performs the following duties which may include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinates and prepares agenda for City Council and designated commission meetings.
• Reviews agenda items for compliance with legal requirements.
• Organizes completed staff reports.
• Reproduces and distributes agenda packages to appropriate individuals and organizations.
• Ensures the City Council Chamber is in proper order for all meetings.
• Attends City Council and designated commission meetings, acts as recording secretary and prepares minutes.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public administration, business administration, or a closely related field.

Experience: 
Five (5) years of experience in performing high-level and complex administrative and analytical work, including two (2) years supervisory experience, preferable in a public agency.  Experience in a City Clerk's office is desirable.

Licenses and Certificates: 

Possession and maintenance of a valid California driver's license.  Must be able to obtain and maintain a Notary Commission within twelve (12) months of employment.  Ability to obtain certification as a Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) within three (3) years, if not already obtained.  Possession of Certified Municipal Clerk designation upon hire is highly desirable.

Bilingual: 
Knowledge of a second language is beneficial.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience

The Analyst I salary range is $85,525.44 - $103,958.40
The Analyst II salary range is $93,344.16 - $113,436.96

The actual salary shall be determined by the final candidate's qualifications and experience. These salary ranges include an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation pay.

San José Mineta International Airport is hiring for an Analyst I/II in its Planning and Development Division. This position reports directly to the Senior Analyst and is a crucial member of the Airport's Planning and Development Division. The Analyst is part of the fiscal team in the Planning and Development Division of the Airport. The Analyst's primary role is to support the development, monitoring, reporting and administration of the Division's annual operating budget and capital budget. The Analyst will be responsible for tracking and enforcing timely delivery of budget status reporting within the Division., The Analyst will manage the day to day capital budget processes, including but not limited to assisting program and project managers with fiscal and budgeting aspects and monitoring and reporting expenditures.

The Analyst's primary role is to support the fiscal and administrative functions of the division such as processing invoice payments, encumbrances, requisitions, accruals, procurement renewals, monitoring, and tacking service orders. This position also coordinates with internal staff to assist with special requests, processes, and analysis.

KeyResponsibilities
In order to fulfill these job duties, a Legislative Secretary should have good knowledge of English composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation and be experienced with standard office practices and procedures with the skills necessary to organize, coordinate, and prioritize assigned tasks in order to meet established daily deadlines. The position requires the ability to type 55 words per minute with proficiency using MS Word, or equivalent, with the ability to follow strict formatting requirements for the preparation of meeting agenda, synopsis, and/or minutes for each Council, Committee, Board or Commission meeting. The employee may be expected to learn various software systems including Granicus and become proficient at posting or editing documents for publication on the web and to the GILES Records Database.

Agenda : The Legislative Secretary is responsible for preparing a variety of documents (Agendas for City Council, Council Committee, Boards or Commissions) utilizing wording and layout based upon standard formats to ensure consistency and compliance with the City's legislative procedures; posting documents in accordance with State Brown Act and City Open Government requirements. The Legislative Secretary may be responsible for the assembly and distribution of those documents to elected officials, City Administration, media and the public under tight deadlines.

Minutes : Responsibilities include attending City Council, Council Committee, Board or Commission meetings and taking complete notes of actions taken while utilizing Granicus software and/or other audio recording equipment to provide for storage and playback. Subsequently, the Legislative Secretary is responsible for preparing a synopsis and/or minutes of the meeting which accurately reflect the course of the proceedings and actions taken by the body for the approval by the City Clerk for publication and distribution within prescribed deadlines. The Legislative Secretary must selectively condense and paraphrase the discussions while exercising care to include relevant materials and to accurately record the vote(s) taken. The development of complete synopsis and/or minutes requires the Legislative Secretary to review all documents on which the Council, Council Committee, Board or Commission has taken action to ensure that the documentation is complete and accurate.

Records Management : The Office of the City Clerk is responsible for maintaining records and documents and other public disclosures required under State and local laws to be filed by elected officials, candidates for public office, lobbyists, campaigns, Board and Commission members, designated employees, and other governmental agencies. The Legislative Secretary is responsible for reading, indexing, filing, researching and retrieving documents considered and acted upon by the City Council, Council Committee, Board or Commission, as well as other documents required to be filed with the City Clerk including contracts, agreements, maps, disclosure forms, etc. The Office must respond to requests under the California Public Records Act for information from members of the public and media and/or research information, as well as records and documents requested by various City departments and other public agencies.

The City of San José is recruiting for an Infrastructure and Operations Support Manager, Emergency Operations Center in the Information Technology Department. As a technical manager, this position will be responsible for overseeing infrastructure service and day-to-day operations for the City's Emergency Operation Center (EOC).

The Infrastructure and Operations Support Manager, Emergency Operations Center supports the essential technologies needed to operate the City's EOC in disasters, including the core network infrastructure, computing servers, storage, enterprise applications, collaboration tools, Mobile Device Management (MDM), and Motorola Computer Dispatch workstations. The EOC technologies include a multi-layer redundant/backup network connectivity with a localized data center, servers, and storage. This allows the EOC's technology services available during large-scale emergency events.

This position requires strong technical hands-on experience and leadership skills as well as the ability to take initiative and direct others. We are seeking an individual with a willingness to adapt to an ever-changing business as well as an ever-changing technical environment.

The ideal candidate must be able to take full ownership of managing and delegating the services of IT infrastructure, business collaboration tools, and City applications to support the EOC and lead projects to completion. Infrastructure operations include identity management, private and public cloud infrastructure, server virtualization, system management, and monitoring, client and server Windows Operating Systems and client applications, etc. Business collaboration tools include Microsoft Office 365 Productivity Suite, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, related Office 365 Suite offerings, Zoom, etc. City applications include GIS, desktop applications, etc. This position demands a proven ability to resolve complex technical issues with limited resources. A strong leadership mindset, the ability to collaborate well with teams, and a strong civil servant mentality are essential to this position.

The Infrastructure and Operations Support Manager for the Emergency Operations Center is a member of the IT Department with a mission to support the EOC. The work plan defines the business requirements with priorities set by the Office of Emergency Management. As a member of the EOC response team, the Infrastructure and Operations Support Manager, Emergency Operations Center will need to be available onsite to support the emergency event. Work hours during an emergency event could be after the City's business hours or on the weekend.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Providing technical leadership for the City's enterprise infrastructure which includes: network, servers, hyperconverged infrastructure, desktops and mobile devices, Active Directory, VPN, Federation Service, Public/Private Cloud support, enterprise storage, system management and monitoring, enterprise system backups and restore, as well as Disaster Recovery of EOC IT services.
• Leading advanced troubleshooting and triage responsibilities for infrastructure issues to ensure service availability to meet service level expectations.
• Validating and managing system configuration changes to ensure successful system upgrades and configuration changes to the production environment.
• Developing technical guidelines and governance framework to ensure best practices and security.
• Triaging, leading, and resolving advanced infrastructure issues and service outages.
• Leading project implementation to completion.
• Coordinating communication and IT service needs with Public Safety and departments.
• Managing asset life cycle, including tracking, replacement, and surplus of equipment.
• Managing infrastructure maintenance and support contracts.
• Providing technical leadership and IT training to EOC staff and City employees

Salary Information: The final candidate's qualifications and experience shall determine the actual salary. In addition to the starting salary, employees in the Enterprise Supervising Technology Analyst (ESTA) classification shall also receive an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation pay.

• Salary Range (including the 5% NPWI): $136,237.92 - $ 166,005.84

The ESTA classification is represented by the City Association of Management Personnel (CAMP) bargaining unit.

THE POSITION

Reporting to the Director of Administrative Services, the Management Analyst (Risk Management) provides professional support to risk management programs including: workers' compensation, safety compliance, review and approval of contracts and Certificates of Insurance, risk transfer, and leave and disability administration. 

In addition, you will have the opportunity to coordinate and oversee workers' compensation claims management including monitoring accepted claims and providing information to claimants, attorneys, and the workers' compensation carrier. You will also serve as a consultant to City departments and employees on Risk Management (workers' compensation, safety, contract insurance) problems and communicate regularly with internal and external parties to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of assigned programs and activities, minimize risk, and advise of claim developments.
