The City of Sunnyvale is searching for a Budget Manager in the Department of Finance. The Budget Manager is a division-level manager responsible for developing, administering, and overseeing the City's sophisticated Operating and Capital Budgets and Twenty-Year Financial Plans. This position participates in the development of the City's financial systems, conducts and presents complex financial information and analysis to executive management and others to assist in policy decision making. This classification receives administrative direction from the Director of Finance or Assistant Director of Finance and exercises direct supervision over management, professional, technical and clerical staff in the Budget Division.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in economics, accounting, finance, business or public administration or a closely related field, AND

Five years of increasingly responsible management and/or administrative analytical work experience which includes a minimum of three years of budget experience.

The City of Sunnyvale is seeking a Housing Specialist I to join the Housing Division in the Community Development Department. Under direction of the Housing Officer, the Housing Specialist I will play a key role in the planning and development of new affordable housing, creating new housing programs, implementing the Housing Element, applying for grants/funding to support affordable housing, and monitoring housing legislation. The Housing Specialist I will perform technical and professional level planning and community development work, with an emphasis on creation and implementation of affordable housing programs. This position will closely collaborate with affordable housing developers, various housing advocacy groups, local non-profits, and the community. The ideal candidate will be a passionate affordable housing professional who is a motivated self-starter able to work independently, while also being a team player who can communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, consultants, and decision-makers. How You Will Make an Impact:

The Santa Clara County Housing Authority (SCCHA) is looking for a skilled Accountant II to perform a range of complex and varied technical and professional accounting tasks. Key duties include auditing, analyzing, and verifying financial records and reports, preparing financial and statistical reports, assisting with budget preparation, and reconciling general ledger accounts. This role also involves preparing year-end audit reports and schedules, managing full-cycle Accounts Payable (A/P) functions, and coordinating Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) disbursements. The Accountant II acts as a liaison for disbursement-related activities with agency staff, vendors, contractors, and external partners while also providing backup support for payroll operations. Additionally, the role includes conducting financial analysis, developing internal controls, and interpreting Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) guidelines.

The Accountant I role is an entry-level position focused on technical and professional accounting tasks. The City of Santa Clara is recruiting for the Electric Utility Chief Operating Officer for its Electric Utility, Silicon Valley Power (SVP).  Reporting to the Chief Electric Utility Officer (CEUO), the Electric Utility Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a senior management position in the City's unclassified service responsible for the oversight and direction for the fiscal, administrative, and managerial operations of the utility. The COO has supervisory and support responsibilities for the utility's divisions: Utility Operations, Customer Development and Project Management, Resource Planning and Customer Engagement, and Business Services. The COO will help guide SVP through the extraordinary period of growth related by doubling the existing capacity of the electrical system to meet new customer demands over the next 10 years. In addition to the expansion, the COO will work to ensure new renewable resources are added to meet the City's and State’s climate goals. The COO is responsible for forecasting service requirements and for planning, organizing and directing assigned resources of the electric utility division in order to meet those requirements. This includes developing and administering the department operations and capital improvement budgets. The COO is expected to exercise critical thinking and detail oriented oversight in ensuring that utility operations are smooth, efficient, and compliant, with responsibility for results including costs, methods, and staffing.

ABOUT THE POSITION
The City of Gilroy is recruiting for part-time Recreation Leaders II/III assigned to the Adaptive Program. The main goal of the City of Gilroy’s Recreation Division is to offer excellent recreation programs that provide community members with a wide range of opportunities to celebrate life and community through people, parks, programs, and special events which are delivered by a team of employees dedicated to offering quality recreational, social, and cultural services to all Gilroy residents. 
 
Under direct supervision of a Recreation Supervisor, the Recreation Leader II/III will assist, plan, organize, and lead the physical, recreational, and social activities of assigned recreation programs. Program area focus is Adaptive (Special Needs), but you might be asked to support another recreation area.

 When assigned to the Adaptive Program, the leader will have an opportunity to have hands-on experience working with a special needs population.  Disabilities of participants vary in range from non-communicative to diminished motor skills to severe autism.  The position will report to an experienced staff member.  As related experience is gained as noted in the job qualifications and requirements, and with the recommendation in the employee’s performance evaluation, Recreation Leaders can advance from Recreation Leader II to Recreation Leader III.  As the employee advances through the job series the employee will take on more responsibility and more challenging work assignments.
