This position under general supervision will perform a wide variety of duties involving accounting and fiscal functions for the Community Action Department in the Administrative/Fiscal Units; a strong fiscal and accounting background is desired. The Police Assistant is a civilian, non-sworn, uniformed position that is responsible for a variety of customer service-based interactions with the community. Duties include non-hazardous enforcement of municipal parking laws and regulations as well as clerical front counter tasks related to phone and walk-in contacts at the police department.
Under immediate supervision, monitors activities in the water, pool decks, and ancillary areas of aquatics facilities to ensure the safety of patrons; learns, explains, and enforces safe swimming programs and pool policies, regulations, and rules. Performs rescues and administers first aid, CPR, and AED as needed; and performs related work as required.
Schedule: 25 hours per week. Schedule will vary, will include weekends.

Under general supervision, the Lifeguard performs lifeguard duties in enforcing City public swimming pool rules and monitoring pool patron conduct; perform emergency rescue and lifesaving techniques.
