Under general supervision by the Building Management Administrator , the Sr. Facilities Repair Worker will perform a wide variety of semi-skilled work in the repair of buildings and equipment at the City 's six interim housing communities and future communities . This Sr. Facilities Repair Worker position will be stationed at Central Service Yard and travel to various sites across San Jose , with an emphasis on the City of San J ose's interim housing communities . In addition to the typical duties of a Sr. Facilities Repair Worker, the successful candidate will interact a n d compassionately communicate with interim housing tenants and pe ople in vulnerable housing situations . The position requires flexibility and adaptability to : respond to afterhours alarms , navigate exposure to situations and issues surrounding unhoused, and make decisions in stressful or ambiguous situations. The position may also oversee other Facility Repairs Workers in their day-to-day tasks and special projects. Other duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

 

• Leads, repairs, and maintains water faucets, urinal valves, commode valves, shower heads, minor pipe leaks, and various other water control valves.
• Leads and performs minor repair on buildings caused by vandalism and normal wear, including patching, full area painting and spot painting, floor tile repair and replacement, glass replacement, door adjustments, wall panel replacement, and wood trim replacement.
• Leads and performs minor repairs and maintains PTA C AC units .
• Leads, repairs, and maintains equipment, including generators and power tools.

 

• Schedules and manages contractor activities and reviews and approves payments.
• Prepares work orders for major repair and alterations and monitors progress and completion of projects.
• Prepares reports on materials, labor, and cost on damage caused by users in order to recover cost.
• Maintains records of repair equipment.
• Maintains records of work and projects in a work order system database.

The Public Works Department is recruiting for an Operations & Maintenance Superintendent, who, under general direction from the Operations & Maintenance Manager, will oversee the operations and maintenance activities of the Facilities, Streets, Parks, and Vehicle Maintenance divisions. This position will manage budgets of the respective divisions, supervise and guide division supervisors, and advance technical knowledge and skills to affect the research, analysis, planning, and implementation of operations functions.

UPCOMING PROJECTS & INITIATIVES:

• Public Works will be implementing computerized asset and maintenance management software that will require significant change management within operations and maintenance. The superintendent will play a key role in the implementation and change management of this technology.
• It is a goal to implement safety and developmental programs that engage, educate and train staff for their current and future roles. The superintendent will assist with the development and management of these programs.
• Improving service delivery is a constant challenge. The superintendent will assist with finding creative ways to improve service delivery that benefits internal and external stakeholders.

 

THE POSITION:

This position performs the following essential job duties (including but not limited to):

• Provide leadership, direction, and supervision to operations and maintenance staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing feedback and coaching.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and professional growth.
• Develop and implement operational plans, policies, and procedures to ensure the efficient delivery of services.
• Coordinate with other City departments and external agencies to prioritize and schedule operations activities, including street maintenance, park maintenance/landscaping, facility upkeep/repair, fleet maintenance/replacement, and utility services.
• Oversee the planning and execution of maintenance activities for city infrastructure assets, including streets, sidewalks, parks, buildings, vehicles, and utilities.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of maintenance projects.
• Monitor the condition of infrastructure assets and develop strategies for preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain accurate records and inventory of city-owned infrastructure assets, including condition assessments, maintenance history, and replacement schedules.
• Develop and implement asset management strategies to optimize the lifecycle of infrastructure assets and maximize return on investment.
• Prepare reports and presentations on asset performance, budget projections, and recommendations for capital improvements.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, codes, and standards governing public works operations and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate safety program for department staff ensuring proper training and protocol.
• Obtain necessary permits, licenses, and approvals for maintenance projects and activities, and ensure timely renewal and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Respond to inquiries, complaints, and requests for information from the public, elected officials, and regulatory agencies regarding operations and maintenance issues.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities.  A typical way to obtain these would be:

• Graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent, supplemented with training/education in supervisory principles.
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in streets maintenance and repair, parks maintenance, facilities maintenance and/or vehicle maintenance, including a minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory capacity.
• Training/experience in database management and/or experience using database systems is highly desirable.
• Valid California Driver’s License

The Public Works Maintenance Worker I/II/III position performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled labor in the construction, maintenance and repair of County roads, bridges, and other related structures, and in various traffic control maintenance and  repair activities of the Public Works Agency; operates a variety of construction, maintenance and transportation equipment as necessary to complete daily tasks at the Glenn County Public Works Agency. Under general supervision, performs professional human resources work involving a wide variety of human resources functions.

Distinguishing Characteristics
This is the journey level in the Human Resources Analyst series. This level is characterized by assignments that are complex and sensitive in nature and require a high level of competence and understanding of a functional area(s). Incumbents in this class carry out work assignments with independence. This position may be required to provide lead functional or technical direction of paraprofessional or clerical employees.

An incumbent has responsibility for independent action, planning the work, using experienced judgment, solving problems, and the results of the work. THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for an individual to serve as a Clinical Therapist I/II for the Adult Full-Service Partnership (FSP). The Clinical Therapist I/II will appeal to individuals who are inspired by challenges and opportunities presented in working with an engaged and active community with moderate to severe behavioral health clients. The Clinical Therapist will report to a Clinical Supervisor.

 

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

 

• Provides individual, group, and family interventions, rehabilitation, and treatment services including counseling, therapy, case management, and referral and linkage to community services to a variety of clients including high acuity clients.

The City of Marysville is seeking qualified candidates for the position of a Human Resources Manager, Assistant to the City Manager and City Clerk; this recruitment will fill 1 vacancy and create an eligible list.  

This recruitment will encompass three (3) different positions with the City of Marysville (Human Resources Manager (HR), Assistant to the City Manager (ACM) and City Clerk (CC); due to this caveat this classification specification will list duties and responsibilities for the three (3) positions.
The Human Resource Manager will conduct, lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. The Position: 
An incumbent in this classification is responsible for the safe operation of an assigned swimming pool, including supervising pool personnel, overseeing conduct of pool events, ensuring  collection and security of revenue, and attendant record keeping.  Candidates must be able to serve a variety of ages, abilities and needs in participants from diverse backgrounds with tact and professionalism.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Requirements
• Education equivalent to completion of the eleventh grade; and

Possible Substitution
• One (1) year of experience in lifeguarding and/or swimming instruction with the City of Santa Clara may be substituted for the required three (3) years of experience.

LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATES

• A valid American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certificate or Completion of City of Santa Clara Learn to Swim Instruction Program; and
