Join the City of Simi Valley team as a Community Services Aide and make a meaningful impact at the Senior Center! In this role, you’ll support daily operations, assist older adults and visitors, and help create a warm, welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors.

You’ll provide in‑person and phone assistance, offer information and referrals, support front desk activities, and work closely with staff and volunteers. You may also help with programs like Meals On Wheels by preparing paperwork, entering data, coordinating participant information, and assisting with meal service or basic food‑prep tasks in the kitchen.

This is a hands‑on role perfect for someone who enjoys variety, values teamwork, and takes pride in contributing to the community.                                   POSITION DETAILS:

• Salary range: $19.77 - $25.25 hourly 
  • 3% Cost of Living adjustment increase effective 7/13/26
    • Generally, salary placement is at the beginning of the salary range.
    • Advanced placement may be granted depending on related education and experience.
    • NOTE: The City recently completed a compensation study comparing its salary ranges with those of other local agencies. As a result, 87% of salary ranges will be adjusted upward at various intervals. As ranges are adjusted, job postings will be updated to reflect these changes.
• Part-Time position (10-20 hours/week)
• Work hours will vary, and may include weekdays, weekends, and/or evenings (until 10:00 p.m.). 

                             MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Education/Training:

• Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.

Experience:

• One year of clerical experience is desirable.
