The Position

The Multipurpose Senior Service Program (MSSP) Case Manager will perform professional and clinical social work tasks and duties for older adults living with complex medical conditions to assist them to obtain optimum health, financial, and/or social services. As a member of the Human Services Department, this position reports to a Clinical Supervisor in the Aging and Family Services Division.

This is a regular, part-time position (32 hours/week) and will receive pro-rated benefits.

Examples of Job Duties

• Manage a caseload of 28-32 clients comprised of older individuals with complex medical conditions.
• Conduct comprehensive client assessments and develop and monitor service plan.
• Collaborate with team members, Human Services programs, and community agencies.
• Conduct home visits and provide other community interventions.
• Conduct inter-agency and/or family conferences.
• Advocate for clients in accessing services.
• Monitor services provided for each client.
• Maintain timely electronic documentation of services, reporting, and billing.
• Participate in peer chart audits and outside audit preparation.

The Department of Public Works is currently seeking to fill one (1) Microsoft Windows Desktop Support Engineer (Network Engineer) position within the Technology Services Division. The Desktop Support Engineer role includes day-to-day desktop support, user support, patch management, system administration and maintenance. The environment includes over 700 Windows devices, approximately 50 servers, 500+ iOS mobile devices, all running on multiple network segments.

The Civil Rights Analyst reports to the Manager, Civil Rights Programs and is responsible for supporting the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and labor compliance programs with data entry, contract compliance, outreach, monitoring, and reporting. The position will primarily work for Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board (Caltrain) and the San Mateo County Transit District (SamTrans).

The Office of Civil Rights (OCR) is responsible for the administration and enforcement of local, state, and federal civil rights laws and regulations.

Essential Functions & Duties:

• Create and prepare compliance reports for submission to Federal Transit Administration, project teams, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.
• Manage the District’s prompt payment database (B2Gnow).

• Assist OCR program staff with outreach, events and regulatory compliance.

• Assist contractors with the certification or recertification process by working with the DBE Administrator to gather and review required information and documentation.
• Visit active jobsites to interview construction workers and perform commercially useful function verifications.
• Perform all job duties and responsibilities in a safe manner to protect oneself, fellow employees and the public from injury or harm. Promote safety awareness and follow safety procedures to reduce or eliminate accidents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Sufficient experience, training and/or education to demonstrate the knowledge and ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. In lieu of a degree, work-related experience that demonstrates the skills and experience necessary to perform this role will be accepted. Development of the required knowledge and abilities is typically obtained through but not limited to:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, social work, human services, data analytics, economics, political science, or other closely related field.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Deputy Director will oversee department-wide administrative operations and strategic initiatives including organizational planning, program performance, budget development, financial accounting, procurement, contracting, human resources, recruitment, and other administrative functions. This role will supervise three staff members in the Operations Division and closely collaborate with other staff to achieve the Commission’s strategic goals.

The Deputy Director must be willing to forego involvement in all local political activity while a member of the Commission staff and publicly file an annual Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Essential duties of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Establish and implement departmental goals, policies, and strategic plans as directed by the Executive Director.
• Develop and maintain a broad understanding of the Commission’s laws, policies, programs, procedures, and operations.
• Oversee daily administrative operations of the department including financial management, procurement, accounting, payroll, and related office operations.

Minimum Qualifications

Desired Qualifications

• A Master's degree in public administration, business administration, public policy, or a closely related field of study, or a juris doctor degree.

• Plans, organizes, directs and controls all parts of projects from concept through design, permitting, bidding, and construction to the closeout for a portfolio of complex capital improvement projects.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in construction management, project management, civil, structural or mechanical engineering, facilities planning, design management, architecture, business, economics, planning or a related field

AND

• Five years of progressively responsible experience in project management related to the area of assignment.

The required education is interchangeable with project management experience related to the area of assignment on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of two years.

Possession of a master's degree in a field noted above, professional registration or licensure, or Project Management Institute (PMI) / Construction Management Institute (CMI). Either may be substituted for one year of required experience 

• Valid CA driver’s license required.  
• Registration as a licensed architect or engineer in the State of California is desirable.

Ron Robinson Senior Care Center (RRSCC) is seeking two full-time geriatricians to join our outpatient primary care clinic, located within San Mateo Medical Center in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Our clinic is specifically designed to meet the unique needs of individuals aged 60 and above. Through a comprehensive interdisciplinary team approach, we empower older adults to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Our team of medical doctors and nurse practitioners is supported by a clinic-dedicated psychiatrist, psychologist, neuropsychologist, pharmacist, nutritionist, podiatrist, and social worker, in addition to our committed nursing and patient service staff. We also offer home visits for homebound patients and host bi-monthly inter-agency meetings to coordinate care for complex cases.

THE DEPARTMENT

The City Clerk’s Office in San Rafael is led by a full-time, elected City Clerk who also serves as Department Head, supported by two Deputy City Clerks. Together, this team plays a vital role in promoting transparent, accessible, and responsive local government. As the official custodian of records, the Office is committed to preserving the integrity of the public record and ensuring open access to information -empowering residents to engage fully in civic life.

IDEAL CANDIDATE AND CORE COMPETENCIES

The City Clerk’s Office is seeking a full-time Deputy City Clerk to join a dedicated team committed to transparency, civic engagement, and exceptional public service. This position provides professional-level support to the City Clerk and other City departments, with responsibilities spanning public records management, legislative support, and compliance with open government laws. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of the following skills and experience:

• Strong knowledge of the California Public Records Act (CPRA), including experience reviewing, redacting, and releasing public records in compliance with legal requirements.
• Familiarity with the Brown Act, Political Reform Act, and other regulations governing local government transparency and ethics
• Proficiency in records and agenda management systems, document imaging software, and digital workflow tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, accurate meeting agendas, minutes, and official records.
• A high degree of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A collaborative, service-oriented approach to working with the public, elected officials, and staff across departments.
• Discretion, sound judgment, and a strong sense of professional ethics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to - view the full job spec HERE)

• In the absence of the City Clerk, functions as the City Clerk, attends City Council meetings and perform all of the duties of holding a public meeting, including facilitating public comment, calling roll for Council votes, etc.
• Ensures adherence to established Council meeting procedures and rules; processes Council actions in the form of resolutions and ordinances; performs research, data gathering and analysis for written reports to the City Clerk.
• Prepares Council Chambers or other rooms for meetings.
• Generates Action Agendas and finalizes official minutes. • Processes and responds to Public Records Act (PRA) requests.
• Plans, organizes, develops, implements and administers the City-wide records management system.
• Assists in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and work standards for the department.
• Participates in the development and administration of the department's budget.
• Maintains current knowledge of new trends and innovations in the field of records management.
• Answers telephone calls, responds to email, researches records and retrieves information for general public, City Council and City staff.
• Prepares agenda packets, hard copy and electronically, for Council meetings.
• Files and indexes official City records as prescribed.
• Maintains other City and departmental records and files.
• In the absence of the City Clerk administers oaths of office, acts as Notary Public and certifies official City records. 
• May be required to work evenings and/or irregular work hours.
• Makes recommendations regarding office procedures and processes, including technology, to improve workflow and implements improvements subsequent to approval.

• Launching agenda management software

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Deputy City Clerk I: Equivalent to AA degree and three years of progressively responsible experience using state of the art technology in a local government agency, preferably in a City Clerk’s Office.

Deputy City Clerk II: in addition to the requirements for the Deputy City Clerk I, this level requires at least 4 years of experience as a Deputy City Clerk I or demonstrated ability to successfully complete the essential duties and responsibilities at the full journey level with a high degree of autonomy. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Certified Municipal Clerk designation preferred. 

Both levels: Commission as a Notary Public in the State of California within six months of appointment

The Skilled Trades Internship Program has three (3) internship opportunities among three (3) of our plants: Silicon Valley Advanced Water Purification Center*, Rinconada Water Treatment Plant, and Santa Teresa Water Treatment Plant.
 
NOTE: Advanced Water Purification Center is categorized as a Wastewater facility, and interning at this facility only qualifies for Wastewater treatment operator licenses. Both Rinconada and Santa Teresa water treatment plants are conventional T-5 drinking water facilities.
 
INTERNSHIP LOCATION STATUS:
This internship position will require the selected candidate to report on-site 100% of the time, adhering to strict safety protocols. Interns will be placed at one of three locations, the Silicon Valley Advanced Water Purification Center, the Rinconada Water Treatment Plant, or the Santa Teresa Water Treatment Plant.

 

• Currently enrolled in or completed an Engineering, Science, or Water Related Program in the last six (6) months.
• Pursuing state certification to be an operator at a Drinking Water Treatment Facility or an Advanced Water Treatment Facility. (PLEASE NOTE: high school graduates are automatically qualified to take the entry level Grade T1 state exam and obtain their certification right away)
• Community service and safety orientation.
• Curious and mechanically inclined.
• Able to do shift work.

• 5 am start, shift pass down.
• Learning safe work practices.
• Training with a certified water plant operator to perform plant rounds and associated duties.
• Performing basic water sampling and analysis.
• Perform cleaning e.g., hosing down basins, sweeping, organizing, general housekeeping.
• Learning to monitor water plant through SCADA computer system.

• Be currently enrolled in or have completed in the last six months: Engineering, Science, or Water Related Program.

The Position

The City of Fremont is seeking applicants to fill full-time, temporary positions within the Fremont Urban Forestry Service Corps. These positions are paid and have a five-month duration, starting February 3, 2025, and ending June 27, 2025. These positions work five days a week in small cohorts completing a combination of in-class learning and in-the-field service projects.

Examples of Duties

• Learn and study a variety of topics related to urban forestry, public greenspace, and sustainability.
• Work within cohorts to complete urban forestry service projects in local Fremont neighborhoods.
• Ensure safety and high quality of work.
