Qualifications

 

Knowledge of:

The Fiscal Analyst I position, performs varied and complex professional accounting and financial analysis work relating to various grants and programs; fiscal and contract management; fiscal program analysis and compliance; prepares analytical, narrative, statistical, accounting and financial reports; develops and monitors budgets; and prepares financial statements and reports and related duties as required. Fiscal Analyst I is the entry-level classification in the Fiscal Analyst series. Incumbents in this class work under supervision. This position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week, is an in-person position and located in Glenn County, California.  

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Prepares reports and analysis on accounting activities relating to funds, grants, and programs.
• Prepares various financial statements including worksheets, balance sheets, income statements, statements of cash flow, adjusting and closing balance sheets, depreciation  schedules, allocation schedules, and cost reports.
• Reconciles accounts.
• Compiles and analyzes data. 
• Works to determine reasons for significant differences between anticipated revenues, expenditures and fund balances in department budgets. 

 

Position Summary

This position reports directly to the Operations Control Manager, who provides general supervision, guidance, and assistance.  A substantial portion of the dispatcher’s work is assessment of unscheduled events and corrective action follow through.  Dispatcher’s work is evaluated by performance in maintaining scheduled and unscheduled service, dealing with emergency situations, supervision of bus operators, and interaction with bus transportation supervisors.
 
The primary responsibility of the Dispatcher is to make work assignments to bus operators in accordance with the labor agreement; within a geographic service area, to safely maintain scheduled and unscheduled service. A secondary responsibility is to act as Radio Controller as required.   Position may require working on extended shifts.
The first 6-months will be at a Dispatcher Trainee status. Every two months during training, there will be a step increase as follows:

 

Essential Responsibilities

• Develops a daily dispatch plan, based on availability of equipment and operators, and modifies the plan as conditions or events change during the day.
• Responsible for maintaining scheduled and unscheduled service at a rate greater than 99% of all schedules while minimizing additional costs of overtime.  
• Possesses the knowledge and interpretation of the labor agreement in scheduling the extra board, making work assignments, and handling a wide variety of operational situations.
• Assists, coordinates, and provides radio contact for bus transportation supervisors in the field, and dispatch them as needed to respond to situations requiring supervisor’s presence.
• Verifies accuracy and functioning of time clocks, check vehicle/operator supplies, reviews daily schedules, and verifies bus operator’s medical card and driver license.
• Knows and follows the safety and health rules and safe working practices applicable to his or her job.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with District employees, customers, vendors and all others contacted during the course of work using principles of excellent customer service.
• Performs additional related duties as assigned.
• Regular and reliable attendance and performance are required.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The City of Redwood City Parks, Recreation & Community Services Department invites you to apply for the casual position of Building Attendant. This position requires daytime availability for four-to-six-hour shifts between the hours of 8am and 5pm. A person in this classification will work flexibly, up to 20 hours per week. The Air District is currently accepting applications for the position of Supervising Air Quality Engineer. This is an open recruitment for one (1) full-time, represented position in the Source Test Section.
 

Source Test Section

The Source Test Section performs source emission tests at regulated facilities for compliance determination, emission factor development, and information gathering. Facilities that are commonly tested include petroleum refineries, power plants, manufacturing facilities, wastewater treatment plants, landfills, and gasoline dispensing facilities. The section also provides regulatory oversight for facility continuous emission monitoring system (CEMS) operation, facility contracted source testing, and special testing or measurement projects. This role will be tasked with supervision of the section’s air quality engineering staff and performance of highly complex and specialized program assignments. In addition, the incumbent will coordinate or perform field, shop, and office source test program duties, including, but not limited to, equipment purchase specification, data reduction and analysis, workgroup participation, and report preparation.

The incumbent will gather, tabulate, analyze, and chart data; interview and consult with departmental officials, employees, and others, to give and receive information; prepare reports and make recommendations on procedures, policies, and program/functional issues and alternatives in the Emergency Preparedness Program at the Glenn County Health and Human Services Agency. This position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.
