The Housing Authority of the City of Alameda (AHA) is seeking an exceptional, process-orientated professional to serve as the Director of Housing Programs to assist with planning, organizing, managing, and providing administrative direction and oversight for all functions and activities of the Housing Programs Department which administers the various assistance programs the AHA operates. This is a fast-paced agency that seeks to meet the mission through a high level of accountability and transparency.

AHA is particularly interested in applications from candidates with a strong track record in a Housing Choice voucher program management in a HUD or PHA position. The Parks, Recreation & Community Services Manager – Senior Services is responsible for leading the operations, programs, services, and community engagement efforts that support Redwood City’s older adult population. This position oversees a broad range of senior services, including recreation programming, wellness initiatives, social services coordination, special events, facility operations, partnerships, and community outreach, while helping ensure the City’s brand new 45,000 square foot senior center continues to be a welcoming, active, inclusive, and responsive community space.

The City of Brisbane is currently recruiting for a Communications Coordinator. Under general direction, performs and administers the City’s digital communications activities, including website content management, social media publishing, digital asset management, photography, and video content support; ensures public-facing communications are accurate, timely, and accessible to meet current standards. POSITION:
This classification is distinguished from all other classes by its responsibility in carrying out day-to-day digital communications functions and supporting the City’s public information program. ABOUT THE POSITION

The City of Redwood City Public Works Services Department invites you to apply for the position of Public Works Maintenance Worker III Equipment Operator in the Right-of-Way Division. The Right-of-Way Division is responsible for maintenance of the City’s public right-of-way including streets and roadways, parking lots, roadway markings and painting, streetlights, traffic signals and signs, and street cleaning.  

The position will report to the Public Works Field Supervisor and will serve as a skilled maintenance worker operating a variety of heavy equipment in the construction and maintenance of public right-of-way- assets, assist in scheduling and reviewing work, perform a variety of skilled tasks in the construction, maintenance, repair streets and sidewalks, and occasionally lead a field crew in assigned work. Work will include the skillful operation of construction and maintenance equipment such as street sweepers, backhoes, paving machines, dump trucks, rollers, trucks, tractors, and skip loaders. The position will be involved in the construction and maintenance operation of streets, sidewalks and gutters, will spread asphalt in patching and repairing streets, read and interpret maps of service areas and sweeping districts, and provide technical guidance to less experienced workers.

The City of Pleasant Hill seeks a Maintenance Worker II to perform journey level skilled and semi-skilled labor in construction, maintenance, and related service activities applied to the areas of general landscaping, grounds maintenance and street maintenance. Receives general supervision from an assigned supervisor; and may receive technical and functional supervision from higher-level maintenance staff. May exercise functional supervision over other Maintenance Workers.

Examples of Duties:

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: 
 

• Perform manual unskilled, semi-skilled, and skilled tasks in street, park, tree, water and storm drain maintenance, construction and repair. 
• Perform such grounds maintenance as mowing lawns, raking leaves, and planting flowers, shrubs and trees. 
• Clean ditches, alleys, streets, culverts and storm drains. 
• Repaint pavement markings; perform basic pothole and street repair; install and repair street sign and markers; mix and apply all classes of pesticide materials.

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.  A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: 

• Experience: Two years of experience performing duties comparable to those of a Maintenance Worker I with the City of Pleasant Hill. Or, two years of experience performing unskilled, semi-skilled, or skilled labor in the areas of general landscaping, grounds maintenance and/or street maintenance.

• Education: Completion of high school or its equivalent, or completion of a trade or vocation school.

Special Requirements
Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate California driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.

Salary & Benefits

The City of Pleasant Hill offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits program. For detailed benefit information, please review the Memorandum of Understanding between the City and Public Employees Union, AFSCME Local 1.  

• Salary: Monthly $5,816 to $7,710. Placement in range depends on experience and qualifications.
• Health/Medical Benefit: Choice of coverage with Kaiser or Health Net. The City pays 80% of monthly premiums at each coverage level. The Community Services Department plays a key role in enhancing the community and ensuring the citizens of Fremont receive excellent customer service through the management of recreation facilities, quality recreation and environmental programs, and park planning.

The Position

The primary focus of the Park Ranger/Naturalist is to enhance park safety and visitor experience through consistent patrol, community engagement, and responsive customer service. Additionally, the incumbent may conduct natural resource protection and environmental education programs.

The Housing Authority is seeking an exceptional, team-oriented candidate to oversee projects and initiatives in support of the Alameda Housing Authority (AHA)’s affordable housing development and neighborhood revitalization programs in the City. This may include new construction development, acquisition and rehabilitation of properties, and development for projects for AHA’s nonprofit development affiliate, Island City Development. AHA’s pipeline of multifamily projects includes serving family, homeless, workforce, and senior populations and managing major renovation of occupied properties within AHA’s portfolio. The Senior Project Manager will also manage a wide range of consultant relationships and may supervise one or more junior staff.
