This role is ideal for someone who wants to make an impact through thoughtful budgeting, financial analysis, and cross-department support.

As a Management (Budget) Analyst, you'll work under the direction of a Finance Manager to help develop the City’s annual budget, support financial planning efforts, and keep key systems running smoothly. You’ll be hands-on with both day-to-day operations and longer-term projects that support Belmont’s financial health.

This position is classified as Management Analyst I or II, with the working title of Budget Analyst.
Placement will be made at either level depending on experience and department needs.

• Assist in preparing the annual operating budget and 5-year capital improvement plan

• Maintain the City’s budget system and provide end-user support and training

• Analyze trends in revenues and expenditures, and prepare financial reports and presentations

• Coordinate budget transfers and amendments

• Manage chart of accounts alignment and process documentation

• Support payroll processes, audits, and financial system upgrades

• Research local, state, and federal regulations for financial impacts

• Collaborate with other departments and outside agencies to gather and share financial data

• Contribute to cost allocation models, internal service fund rates, and related analysis

• Take on special projects and assist in the general administration of the Finance Department

Senior Transportation Planner (Temporary/Hourly)
Salary: $$65.0163 - $83.5561 per hour

The Town of Los Gatos is accepting applications for a temporary/unbenefited Senior Transportation Planner position in the Parks and Public Works Department. This is a unique opportunity to shape and develop a vital role within our organization.

The Senior Transportation Planner will focus on managing projects and programs that support sustainable transportation opportunities for the Town while addressing and improving mobility, safety, environmental, social, and economic conditions around transportation. The selected candidate will support the Town’s ongoing initiatives around transportation planning, including identifying grant programs and managing transportation planning-related projects.  

The Ideal Candidate
The Town is looking for an experienced transportation professional who is visionary and innovative with strong leadership skills, passion for community engagement, and commitment to customer service. About the Department
The Parks and Public Works Department (PPW) is responsible for the maintenance and improvements of the Town's public parks, facilities, streets, and other infrastructure.  Our goal is to efficiently provide residents, businesses, and visitors with the highest quality service possible, with dedication and professionalism.  The Department has five service areas: Engineering, Capital Improvement, Streets and Signals, Parks, and Environmental Services. The Department also collaborates with all Town departments, and external partners and stakeholders.

• Engineering Services: The Engineering team provides services in the areas of encroachment permits and permitting and inspection of other work in the public right of way, including situations where new developments need to provide improvements in the right of way.  
   
• Capital Improvement: The Capital Improvement team develops and constructs capital projects across all Town assets, including improvements to roads, streetlights, parks, and Town buildings. See the annual capital budget for a list of current capital projects.
   
• Streets and Signals: The Streets and Signals team maintains the Town’s roadways, signs, and traffic signals. Traffic plays a big part in this team’s daily work as they seek to meet the needs of the community.  This includes traffic on major streets as well as on neighborhood streets where traffic calming can be a solution.
   
• Park Services: The Park Services team maintains the Town’s parks, trails, open spaces, facility grounds, median islands, parking lot landscaping, downtown planters, and the urban forest as well as administering park use fees and reservations.

Parking Programs

• Oversees the Town’s Parking Programs.
• Oversees the work of and administers contracts for transportation and parking consultants.

Minimum Qualifications

Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:
 
Education: Any combination of training and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in transportation planning, city and regional planning, urban studies, civil engineering, or closely related field.

Experience: Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in transportation development programs, including two (2) years of project management.  A Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university is desirable.

License and Certification: 

• A California Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record are conditions of initial and continued employment. 
• Possession of a Certificate of Registration as Professional Transportation Planner or Professional Engineer in the State of California, or certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners is highly desirable.

The San Rafael Sanitation District (SRSD) is committed to protecting public health and the environment by providing safe, reliable, and cost-effective wastewater collection and conveyance services.  Serving residents and businesses in the San Rafael area, the District maintains and improves vital sewer infrastructure including pipelines, pump stations, and treatment connections to support a clean and sustainable community.  

As a sewer collection agency, the District maintains 33 pump stations, 13 miles of force main, and 132 miles of gravity sewer pipeline.  Each y ear the District replaces over 2.5 miles of gravity sewer as part of the annual CIP project.

The San Rafael Sanitation District is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Construction Inspector to help ensure the quality and safety of our vital sewer infrastructure. As a Construction Inspector, you'll perform field inspections on sewer system projects including pipelines, pump stations, and other capital improvements to verify compliance with plans, specifications, and District regulations.

Collections System Manager

The Organization

The City of Pacifica is a general law city and operates under the Council/Manager Form of Government. Legislative authority is vested in a five member City Council elected at large, one of which is appointed Mayor by the Council. The Department

The Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining and repairing the City’s infrastructure and wastewater treatment operations in an efficient and cost-effective manner while providing a high level of customer service and a safe work environment for city employees. • Five years of progressively responsible administrative and supervisory related experience in Wastewater Treatment at a public agency. Extensive experience in operations and maintenance of pump/lift stations highly desirable.

Licenses Required:

Must possess a valid California Class C driver’s license and have a satisfactory driving record. Possession of a current Grade IV Wastewater Collections System Maintenance Certificate as issued by the California Water Environment Association is required.

THE DEPARTMENT

The Fire Department operates five (5) fire stations throughout the City which are staffed 24-hours per day, plus an Emergency Operations Center and Fire Training Tower. Two fire stations have paramedic ambulances. The City of South San Francisco is the only Fire Department in San Mateo County providing its own paramedic transport services. The Paramedic ambulances respond to medical emergencies, as well as structure fires and other hazardous incidents. The department cross-staffs a Type I/Heavy Urban Search and Rescue, an OES Type VI Engine, and two Fire/Rescue Boats.

The Fire Department is an active participant in the San Mateo County automatic aid system and responds regularly in support of neighboring jurisdictions throughout the county, including the San Francisco International Airport.  Department members are eligible to participate on FEMA USAR California Task Force 3, sponsored by the Menlo Park Fire Protection District.  The department is also an active participant in the Bay Area Maritime Search and Rescue Council and regularly trains with other fire agencies and the United States Coast Guard.  

The City is planning for the replacement and expansion of two of its existing fire stations, modernizing and relocating the facilities to better serve the public.

In support of the San Mateo County automatic aid agreement, all entry level candidates will attend a regional, county-wide, fire academy where they will be introduced to all agencies in the county and rotate through a variety of training sites.  The roughly 12-week academy also includes specialized training depending on candidate certifications.

Experience must include program or project oversight, vendor or contractor management, system or data analysis, and customer service.

• Experience with public agencies, tolling systems, or technical program management
• Familiarity with electronic payment systems, DMV processes, and vendor coordination

San Mateo County Health- San Mateo Medical Center seeks well-qualified candidates for the position of Program Coordinator I in the Patient Access Division. The current vacancy is a full-time, limited term vacancy. The duration of the assignment will last about 6 months.

 

Under the direction of the Patient Access Manager, the Program Coordinator will provide support to over 150 Patient Services Assistants across various departments, including Emergency, Admitting, Long-Term Care, Same-Day Surgery, and will average 27 Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) sites with 8-16 hours of weekly program refresher training on several publicly sponsored coverage options.

 

Additionally, this position will assist the team with several EPIC post-go-live projects, and work queues as we work to revamp processes and enhance collaboration for improved workflows and revenue-generating process efficiencies.

Education and Experience: Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying.  A typical way to qualify is:

Program Coordinator I: Bachelor's degree in public or business administration, management or a related field and two years of professional level analytical and administrative experience in a community-related setting.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Are you searching for a position with a variety and challenges in a fast-paced environment?  

At a 24 hour a day police dispatch center, you will be using a sophisticated Computer Aided Dispatch terminal. A Communications Dispatcher receives emergency calls from the public requesting police, fire, medical, or other emergency service; determine priority, and dispatch police, or other emergency units as necessary and in accordance with established procedures. 

Typical duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Maintaining contact with all units on assignment and maintaining status and location of police field units.
• Coordinating emergency calls (911) and relaying information and assistance requests involving other agencies.
• Entering, updating, and retrieving information from networks relating to wanted persons, stolen property, vehicle registration, stolen vehicles and other information.
