Valley Water is seeking a strategic and collaborative leader to serve as the Real Estate Asset Administrator (Supervising Program Administrator), responsible for overseeing the stewardship, compliance, and operational integration of the district’s extensive land portfolio, including fee-owned lands, conservation properties, and easement interests. This role will guide policy implementation, interagency coordination, and programmatic improvements to ensure that Valley Water’s lands are managed to support flood protection, water supply reliability, environmental stewardship, and public access objectives consistent with District policies and regulatory requirements.  This position plays a key leadership role within the Real Estate Services function and works closely with Operations & Maintenance, Watersheds, Environmental Planning, Legal, and external partners such as cities, counties, and open space agencies.

Key responsibilities include: 

• Serve as the primary program liaison with cities, Santa Clara County, and partner organizations regarding joint use of Valley Water lands for recreation.

Real Estate Services Unit (Position Code 947)
Valley Water Telework Program: Eligibility for telework will depend on the type of work performed, operational needs, and the ability for the employee to perform the essential functions of their job duties while teleworking. Employment with Valley Water requires employees to live within 150 miles of their primary physical work location located in San Jose, California by their start date.

The City of Dixon is looking to fill one full-time, regular vacancy for the position of Wastewater System Operator I/II and to establish an eligibility list for future vacancies. The QA Group supports all capital improvement programs for the Division during planning, design, procurement, construction and closeout phases of highway, rail, transit and facilities projects.  As a Senior Transportation Engineer, you will play an important role in ensuring delivery of quality products and services for the Division. Overview:

Position requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping in the performance of daily activities. The position also requires grasping, repetitive hand movement and fine coordination in preparing reports using a computer keyboard. The salary range for the Senior Power Resources Specialist Classification is:
$147,005.04 - $180,070.80 Annually
This salary range includes an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation. Actual salary shall be determined by the final candidates’ qualifications and experience.

The Energy Department is seeking to fill one (1) full-time Senior Regulatory Compliance & Policy Manager (Senior Power Resources Specialist) position for the Regulatory Compliance & Policy Division. This position reports directly to the Deputy Director of the Regulatory Compliance & Policy Division and will provide technical analysis, assess the potential business impacts to SJCE from proposed regulatory changes, and provide expert public representation.

Under general direction of the Deputy Director, the Senior Regulatory Compliance & Policy Manager will be responsible for engaging in the increasing number of complex electric regulatory proceedings and effectively advocating for the business interests of SJCE at the  California Public Utilities Commission (“CPUC”), the California Energy Commission (CEC), and California Independent System Operator (“CAISO”) to protect and advance San José business and community interests. Typical duties of this position may include, but are not limited to:

• Monitoring and advising internal staff about the progress of regulatory policy and rate-related proceedings
• Performing independent analysis of the possible operational impacts of rate cases and regulatory proceedings
• Representing SJCE before regulatory bodies and on external working groups
• Keeping abreast of key regulatory issues affecting CCAs, and assisting in prioritizing proceedings
• Developing formal written comments to regulatory agencies and advising on advocacy strategy

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Law, Natural Resources, Statistics, or related field to utility business.

Experience

Three (3) years of experience in energy resources operations, planning, purchasing, scheduling, or contract negotiations.

The Department: 

Silicon Valley Power, Asset Management Group has an excellent opportunity for the position of Engineering Technician (Electric). Job responsibilities include, prepares scaled and dimensioned plans based on sketches prepared by engineering and/or estimating personnel, maintains records of as-builts and updates existing SVP maps and records utilizing ESRI-based GIS applications, maintains master map files, including such records of block maps, street light maps, fiber communication, electric utility single line and operating diagrams and other maps, performs computing and drafting operations in AutoCAD, involved in checking drawings of electric utility facilities, perform other duties as assigned.

 

The Position: 

The Engineering Technician (Electric) is an entry-level classification in the paraprofessional Engineering Technician series. An incumbent in this classification performs routine technical office and field work in support of various engineering projects in the Electric Utility Department. Specific responsibilities will vary according to assignment. Performs related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum Education Requirements: 

Graduation from high school or tested equivalent, including satisfactory completion of courses in mathematics

 

Minimum Experience Requirements: 

One (1) year working with geographic information system (GIS) tools and systems OR one (1) year working with computer-aided drafting (CAD).

 

Acceptable Substitution: 

Post-secondary education equivalent to thirty (30) semester units or forty-five (45) quarter units including satisfactory completion of courses in mathematics, engineering, CAD, GIS, or related subjects may be substituted for the experience requirement.

 

License/Certifications:

Desirable Qualifications:

The City of Dixon is recruiting qualified Lifeguard/Swim Instructor I/II applicants for the 2026 Aquatic season.

Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor and Senior Lifeguard/Swim Instructor, Lifeguard/Swim Instructor performs a variety of duties to ensure the City of Dixon swimming pool is a safe and enjoyable aquatic facility. Supervises pool patrons, enforces pool rules, performs first aid and emergency rescues, instructs swim lessons, performs cashiering duties, leads recreational activities; performs related and other work as required.

Staff may be expected to work weekends and on fixed holidays.  Those who work on a City Holiday will earn 1 1/2 times their base hourly salary.

This position is subject to random controlled substance testing and/or breath alcohol testing.
