• Manage and access video evidence from the department’s body-worn cameras.
• Perform quality assurance to ensure videos are being categorized correctly and reports are documented correctly.

THE POSITION 

The City of South San Francisco seeks customer service-oriented individuals to join the Community Resource Team at the new Library | Parks and Recreation Center. This position is shared between the Library Department and Parks and Recreation Department and works under the direction of the Community Resource Analyst. The Community Resource Clerk will typically be stationed at the lobby desks on the first and second floors of the new Library | Parks and Recreation Center at 901 Civic Campus Way in South San Francisco, however, may temporarily be assigned to other sites, or to represent the departments at special events. This position will provide a welcoming presence by greeting members of the public and responding to visitor inquiries to assist with wayfinding in the facility and sharing information about activities in the building as well as city and other local community resources.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

• Assists in implementing the day-to-day operations at the Library | Parks and Recreation Center.
• Helps oversee use of the facility, ensuring appropriate security is maintained, policies and procedures are followed; appropriate equipment and materials are available, and building is operating efficiently.
• Registers participants in programs and assists patrons with Library or Parks and Recreation account inquiries.
• Performs typical service desk duties including but not limited to patron registration and account management, checking in/out materials, utilization of self-check equipment, assisting patrons with fines and fees, payments and placing reserves, and answering patron questions and requests.
• Maintain the posting of current promotional materials, such as flyers, brochures, guides, and other printed materials.
• Assists in coordinating the scheduling of classes, activities, meetings, events, and rentals in the facility.
• Assists patrons in using and locating library materials and equipment; explains library services, rules, and procedures.
• Works cooperatively with staff, parents, children, and other public and private sector employees and volunteers; coordinates with appropriate agencies to ensure that necessary services are provided to clients.
• Provides customer service in person, by telephone, and electronically.
• Performs general housekeeping duties related to the organization of materials and equipment in the common areas of the facility.
• Prepares for programs, including set up and take down; organization of required supplies.
• May be responsible for opening and/or closing the facility according to established procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills, and abilities would be:

Experience: Minimum of 18 years of age. One year of paid or unpaid work experience involving customer service.

Training:  Equivalent to graduation from high school.

Licenses/Certificates: All licenses and certificates must be maintained as a condition of employment.

THE POSITION

To perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the construction, maintenance, and repair of streets, sidewalks, signs, water meters, sewers, storm drains, pump stations and tree maintenance. 

The purpose of this recruitment is to hire a Temporary / Part-Time position.  Applicants who do not meet the minimum qualifications for the Maintenance Worker I position may be considered for employment as an Intern.  Temporary / Part-Time employees work no more than 130 hours per month AND 960 hours per fiscal year. Typical work schedule will be three 8-hour shifts per week, excluding weekends and evenings.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The Ideal Candidate for this position should have previous Road Maintenance experience; sidewalks, driveways, roads, curbs, and gutters, although not required. The Ideal Candidate will be able to follow directions, demonstrate good communication skills (orally and in writing), be flexible, arrive on time, have good attendance, a positive attitude, be able to work independently with limited supervision, and a willingness to take on and learn new skills. Possessing a Class B commercial Driver’s license is desired, though not required upon hire.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Operate a variety of light and moderately heavy construction and maintenance equipment including such pieces as a loader, dump truck, water truck, rubber-tired and steel rollers, rubber-tired tractor with all attachments (except backhoe attachment), striping equipment, and trencher to perform a variety of routine construction and maintenance operations.  Spread asphalt in patching and repairing streets.  Use concrete cutting equipment; operate a jackhammer; pour and finish concrete; construct concrete forms and perform rough carpentry work.  Paint and install traffic markings on streets, crosswalks, parking lots, and curbs; operate a striping truck; manufacture and install traffic signs and remove signs no longer required.  Install and remove traffic control barricades and cones.  Assist in a variety of tree maintenance activities including low limb, stump routing, tree watering, and tree planting.  Utilize proper safety precautions and comply with policies and procedures in the Department Illness and Injury Prevention Program.  Operate equipment and vehicles with possession of all necessary licenses and certificates.  Regular and consistent attendance.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Respond to inquiries from the general public.  Clean storm grates and drains.  Perform work in emergency situations as required.  Perform minor and preventive maintenance on paint spraying equipment, compressors, sprayers, compactors, and other construction equipment.  Work cooperatively with others.  Perform related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.  

Experience: One (1) year of work experience in construction or related field.  

License or Certificate: Possession of a valid California Driver's License required upon hire.

The Fiscal Supervisor over the Court Budget Unit (CBU) in the Budget Services office plans, organizes, supervises, reviews, and evaluates the work of assigned staff responsible to support all aspects of budget development and implementation for the 58 trial courts. The Supervisor oversees the development of allocations and distribution of $3 billion annually to the trial courts and manages other budgetary processes and programs that support court operations. San Mateo County Health is seeking a well-qualified individual for the position of Community Program Analyst II - Aging & Disability Services.

The Community Program Analyst II position within the In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Unit, a community-based service for older adults and people living with disabilities, within the Aging and Disability Services (ADS) Division. The position performs a variety of technical tasks related to monitoring, policy interpretation, policy development, and development of training materials for the IHSS program. Much of the work includes compiling and analyzing data, collaborating with staff and clients/families to ensure a service delivery system that is responsive to the needs of older adults and people with disabilities. Individuals should have knowledge of issues regarding aging, disabilities, functional/cognitive/mental limitations and experience in QA within a large, regulation driven service delivery system.

The Community Program Analyst will conduct QA case documentation reviews, home visits, and consultation as detailed by the California Department of Social Services (State). The analyst will provide technical guidance and education on program regulations and county operations and produce monthly, quarterly and year-end reports for Aging and Disability Services management/executives and State QA/Program Integrity. In addition, the analyst will serve as liaison among social workers, Public Authority and IHSS clients/providers to resolve disputes. The role also includes leading investigations and collaboration with the California Department of Health Care Services on suspected program misuse and oversight of all required QA monitoring work of the unit.

Community Program Analysts provide technical assistance and evaluate program functions to support effective community and client service delivery. They serve as County liaisons with contract service providers, and community-based organizations, ensure compliance with program regulations and procedures and monitor contracts related to assigned programs. Analysts may also perform other work-related duties as required.

The current vacancy is in the ADS Division located in San Mateo, CA, but may move to the South San Francisco office if needed. The position will travel throughout the County to perform the duties of this position. Travel to meetings and training courses located in Sacramento and other counties is also required.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Fluency in Spanish, Russian, Tagalog, Mandarin, or Cantonese (preferred but not required).
• A self-directed, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach, with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Two to three years of leadership experience in a highly regulated program.
• Prior experience with IHSS.

This is a limited term, at-will position. Limited Term Employees are assigned to assignments not to exceed three years. About the Role

Ron Robinson Senior Care Center (RRSCC) is seeking two full-time geriatricians to join our outpatient primary care clinic, located within San Mateo Medical Center in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Our clinic is specifically designed to meet the unique needs of individuals aged 60 and above. Through a comprehensive interdisciplinary team approach, we empower older adults to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Our team of medical doctors and nurse practitioners is supported by a clinic-dedicated psychiatrist, psychologist, neuropsychologist, pharmacist, nutritionist, podiatrist, and social worker, in addition to our committed nursing and patient service staff. We also offer home visits for homebound patients and host bi-monthly inter-agency meetings to coordinate care for complex cases.

This role is ideal for mission-driven physicians who value collaborative care, innovation, and continuous improvement in geriatric medicine.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to older adult patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and chronic disease management

• Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary care team

• Use data-driven strategies to improve care coordination and outcomes

• Engage in quality improvement projects and team-based care initiatives

• Support the education of residents, medical students, and other staff

Ideal Candidate

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics

• Experienced and passionate about geriatric medicine and serving older adult populations

• Dedicated to patient-centered, collaborative care

• Committed to innovation and quality improvement in primary care

• Spanish-speaking skills are a plus
