The San Mateo County Harbor District (District) has a full-time employment opportunity with excellent benefits for a Customer Services Coordinator. The County of Yuba is recruiting for both Extra-Help and Full-Time Juvenile Corrections Officers I/II, in an effort to fill current vacancies and expand staffing levels. These positions are located on the Tri-County Youth Rehabilitation Campus which falls under the Juvenile Institutions Division of the Yuba County Probation Department.  The primary responsibilities of this flexibly staffed position are to: provide care, custody, supervision, and control of youth housed in the secured detention facilities while they are pending legal action or serving a post adjudication commitment; ensure and sustain a safe and secure environment for youth; and coordinate counseling and behavior modification activities associated with the operation of the facilities.

About Detention Services & Yuba County:

Our Department believes people can change and we can be instrumental in supporting that change.  We are  a small workplace family that supports one another to accomplish our mission and allow our team members to live full lives outside the workplace. Our Campus provides youth detention services to the communities of Yuba, Sutter, and Colusa Counties as well as several contract counties through our Camp Singer program.  We operate 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, and includes the Tri-County Juvenile Hall, Secure Housing Unit, and Maxine Singer Youth Guidance Center (Camp Singer), under a Joint Powers Agreement between the three counties. Our Department is the administrative agency responsible for the management and daily operation of the facility. The shared goal of facility staff is to provide youth with support and tools that will assist them with successfully reintegrating back into the community.  Staff are provided with state mandated relevant training, which includes youth trauma; crisis management; cultural competence; mental health awareness; sexual abuse and harassment; and proper use of force.    

IMPORTANT: 

• All qualified applicants will be  required  to participate in the Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC), Correctional Officer & Probation Officer series exam. Additional details with specifics will follow after the  published application review date.

Part-Time – Multiple Positions Available (10 to 20 Hours per Week)

The City of San Bruno Recreation and Aquatic Center is hiring for Fitness Instructors/Personal Trainers, with a particular focus on strength and conditioning. Position Summary
Fitness Instructors/Personal Trainers play a key role in supporting clients’ health and fitness goals by:

• Leading group strength and conditioning classes and personal training sessions.
• Designing safe and effective individualized fitness programs.
• Monitoring client progress, ensuring proper form, and providing feedback.
• Creating a motivating, positive environment for participants.
• Delivering excellent customer service and addressing fitness-related inquiries.
• Ensuring the fitness facility is safe, clean, and fully operational.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
• Current certification in personal training or group fitness instruction (e.g., ACE, NASM, or other recognized certification).
• At least one year of experience in fitness instruction, personal training, or related field preferred.
• Experience in strength and conditioning, group instruction, and one-on-one training is highly desirable.

Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of strength and conditioning techniques, fitness principles, and wellness practices.
• Ability to motivate and instruct individuals and groups effectively.
• Strong communication skills for clear instruction and positive feedback.
• Skill in assessing client needs and designing individualized programs.
• Ability to safely operate and maintain fitness equipment.

Special Requirements: 

• Current certification in First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). 

• Fitness certifications (e.g., Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor) from a nationally recognized organization.

Under direct supervision, the Police Academy Recruit attends a basic Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certified training academy to obtain the basic skills and fitness level necessary for the performance of Police Officer duties.  This position requires a thorough background investigation, psychological assessment, and a medical exam prior to appointment. This is the non-sworn, entry-level classification in the Police Officer series. Incumbents in this classification receive training in a controlled classroom environment.  Advancement to the sworn Police Officer position is based on meeting minimum qualification standards and satisfactory performance in the academy.

The Marysville Police Department is recruiting for the position of Public Safety Dispatcher.

The City of Marysville is seeking qualified candidates for the position of a Public Works Director; this recruitment will fill 1 vacancy and create an eligible list.  

Reporting directly to the City Manager, this position is responsible for executive direction, strategic leadership, and management of the Public Works Department, including City maintenance workers and capital improvement projects. 

As the principal administrator of the Public Works Department, the Director; plans, organizes, directs, reviews and manages all department activities and functions including Engineering, Parks and Recreation, Streets, Public Facilities, Wastewater Treatment/Sewage, and Storm Water Management.

REQUIREMENTS

Education and Certification

Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar major.

Licenses: Possess valid California Class C Driver’s License.

Experience

Incumbents must have a minimum of three (3) years of managerial experience directly involving municipal services such as public works, public utilities, capital improvement project management, parks maintenance and management, and/or street and facilities maintenance.

Fire Prevention/Administration Office Assistant

• Provide excellent customer service for the Fire Prevention and Fire Administration divisions by greeting visitors, answering inquiries, and directing individuals to the appropriate staff or resources
• Manage calendars for multiple inspectors, schedule inspections, and charge appropriate fees
• Process special event permit applications, prepare invoices for permit fees, collect fees, and issue permits
• Assist with accounts payables and receivables, including invoicing, payment collection, and reconciliation for Fire Prevention activities
• Provide information and assistance regarding public education to the general public
• Assist with website updates related to Fire Prevention services
• Update and maintain a variety of Fire Prevention forms and documents

• Provide front-desk customer service by greeting visitors, answering inquiries and directing individuals to the appropriate staff or resources
• Perform a variety of general clerical duties, including filing, photocopying, processing mail, ordering supplies, scanning, and answering a multi-line telephone system
• Enter invoices for payment and data/information for reports, including setting up new vendors, reviewing statements

• Update and maintain shop-related forms and documentation, assist with maintaining inventories of station supplies, and parts for apparatus repairs

Woodside Fire Protection District has an exciting opportunity to join our Fire Prevention Department.

Under the supervision of the Fire Marshal or their designee, the Wildfire Defensible Space Inspector (Per Diem/Part- Time) supports wildfire prevention efforts across the District. This position is seasonal and ideal for those interested in public service, environmental safety, or fire prevention.

This part-time, per diem role is responsible for inspecting properties to ensure compliance with wildfire prevention and fuel mitigation requirements. You'll engage with residents, educate the public, and help reduce wildfire risk across the District.
