THE POSITION 

The City of South San Francisco seeks customer service-oriented individuals to join the Community Resource Team at the new Library | Parks and Recreation Center. This position is shared between the Library Department and Parks and Recreation Department and works under the direction of the Community Resource Analyst. The Community Resource Clerk will typically be stationed at the lobby desks on the first and second floors of the new Library | Parks and Recreation Center at 901 Civic Campus Way in South San Francisco, however, may temporarily be assigned to other sites, or to represent the departments at special events. This position will provide a welcoming presence by greeting members of the public and responding to visitor inquiries to assist with wayfinding in the facility and sharing information about activities in the building as well as city and other local community resources.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

• Assists in implementing the day-to-day operations at the Library | Parks and Recreation Center.

• Registers participants in programs and assists patrons with Library or Parks and Recreation account inquiries.

The Department

The Public Works Department is comprised of Regulatory Compliance, Engineering, Field Maintenance, Facilities/Fleet, Wastewater Treatment, and Asset Management Divisions. Each division is led by one of two Deputy Directors, who report to the Director of Public Works.  The department is responsible for the City’s major capital projects and infrastructure including streets, streetlights, traffic signals, publicly owned facilities, sewer and storm conveyance systems, wastewater treatment plant, pump stations, a major lagoon, dams, and levees, as well as solid waste and environmental programs.   The Department is currently recruiting for a Project Manager – the position will support the City’s Clean Water Program and Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).

The Position

The Project Manager I/II plans, coordinates, and directs the implementation of capital improvement, maintenance and related projects. This includes, in consultation with assigned technical support staff, the creation of objectives, priorities, budgets, and schedules and the retention of appropriate consultant assistance to achieve high quality capital, maintenance or information technology projects in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner. Acts as Project Manager for building construction, renovation, or information technology projects.  When assigned to the Clean Water Program,: plans, organizes, and reviews the design and construction of the Public Works Wastewater Treatment Plant, sewage conveyance systems and related projects; and acts as project manager in assigned capital improvement, maintenance or renovation projects. Project Manager I is the entry level in the project management series.  Incumbents are responsible for one or more small projects in terms of dollar amount and/or technical complexity, or aspects of larger projects while learning the full scope of project management tasks.  The scope and/or diversity of project objectives and the project budget are less than assigned to the Project Manager II or Senior Project Manager level. This class is alternately staffed with Project Manager II, and incumbents may advance to the higher level after gaining experience and demonstrated proficiency, which meets the qualifications of the higher-level class.

Project Manager II is the journey level in the project management series.  Incumbents are fully responsible for average size projects and are expected to be knowledgeable about the normal scope of project management tasks. This class is distinguished from the Senior Project Manager in that the latter is responsible for the largest and most complex capital projects and is expected to be familiar with the most complex project management tasks.

San Mateo County Health is seeking a well-qualified individual for the position of Community Program Analyst II - Aging & Disability Services.

The Community Program Analyst II position within the In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Unit, a community-based service for older adults and people living with disabilities, within the Aging and Disability Services (ADS) Division. The position performs a variety of technical tasks related to monitoring, policy interpretation, policy development, and development of training materials for the IHSS program. Much of the work includes compiling and analyzing data, collaborating with staff and clients/families to ensure a service delivery system that is responsive to the needs of older adults and people with disabilities. Individuals should have knowledge of issues regarding aging, disabilities, functional/cognitive/mental limitations and experience in QA within a large, regulation driven service delivery system.

The Community Program Analyst will conduct QA case documentation reviews, home visits, and consultation as detailed by the California Department of Social Services (State). The analyst will provide technical guidance and education on program regulations and county operations and produce monthly, quarterly and year-end reports for Aging and Disability Services management/executives and State QA/Program Integrity. In addition, the analyst will serve as liaison among social workers, Public Authority and IHSS clients/providers to resolve disputes. The role also includes leading investigations and collaboration with the California Department of Health Care Services on suspected program misuse and oversight of all required QA monitoring work of the unit.

Community Program Analysts provide technical assistance and evaluate program functions to support effective community and client service delivery. They serve as County liaisons with contract service providers, and community-based organizations, ensure compliance with program regulations and procedures and monitor contracts related to assigned programs. Analysts may also perform other work-related duties as required.

The current vacancy is in the ADS Division located in San Mateo, CA, but may move to the South San Francisco office if needed. The position will travel throughout the County to perform the duties of this position. Travel to meetings and training courses located in Sacramento and other counties is also required.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Fluency in Spanish, Russian, Tagalog, Mandarin, or Cantonese (preferred but not required).
• A self-directed, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach, with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Two to three years of leadership experience in a highly regulated program.
• Prior experience with IHSS.

This is a limited term, at-will position. Limited Term Employees are assigned to assignments not to exceed three years. About the Role

Ron Robinson Senior Care Center (RRSCC) is seeking two full-time geriatricians to join our outpatient primary care clinic, located within San Mateo Medical Center in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Our clinic is specifically designed to meet the unique needs of individuals aged 60 and above. Through a comprehensive interdisciplinary team approach, we empower older adults to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Our team of medical doctors and nurse practitioners is supported by a clinic-dedicated psychiatrist, psychologist, neuropsychologist, pharmacist, nutritionist, podiatrist, and social worker, in addition to our committed nursing and patient service staff. We also offer home visits for homebound patients and host bi-monthly inter-agency meetings to coordinate care for complex cases.

This role is ideal for mission-driven physicians who value collaborative care, innovation, and continuous improvement in geriatric medicine.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to older adult patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and chronic disease management

• Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary care team

• Use data-driven strategies to improve care coordination and outcomes

• Engage in quality improvement projects and team-based care initiatives

• Support the education of residents, medical students, and other staff

Ideal Candidate

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics

• Experienced and passionate about geriatric medicine and serving older adult populations

• Dedicated to patient-centered, collaborative care

• Committed to innovation and quality improvement in primary care

• Spanish-speaking skills are a plus
