Monthly Salary:
Recreation Leader I: $3,001-$3,648
Recreation Leader II: $3,392-$4,123
Recreation Leader III: $3,730-$4,535
Designation of Recreation Leader I, II or III will be dependent on experience. Eligible employees may receive bilingual pay premium (additional 2.5% for verbal and 2.5% for written bilingual skills).

The Recreation Services Division provides programs and activities for Half Moon Bay residents of all ages ranging from infants to seniors. Program elements include fitness, enrichment, cultural events, special events, sporting events, trips, and community events.

The Recreation Leader, is responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
- Organize and lead recreational activities.
- Complete class registration and rental facility applications.
- Enforce observance of required safety precautions and City guidelines.
- Admit patrons to recreation facilities, programs, and events.
- Implement procedures to provide for the safety and welfare of all users engaged in activities in City facilities.
- Create and distribute flyers and promotional materials to promote recreation activities and programs.
- Maintain attendance and activity records.
- Set up and issue equipment, collects and stores equipment after use.
- Provide basic customer service.
- Facilitate rentals and usage of City facilities.
- Perform related duties, as assigned.
