The Placer County Community Development Resource Agency is seeking applications to fill one (1) full-time Long-Range Senior Planner vacancy on the Long-Range Planning team. This position performs a variety of complex, long-range planning functions, including supporting development of the General Plan update and Housing Element implementation and will support a Principal Planner and the Planning Director in fulfilling the role. This position can be based out of either the Auburn or Tahoe City office.

Key duties include:

• Assist in updating the County’s General Plan, including drafting and developing policy and code, permitting policies and/or development standards, and implementation strategies, as well as performing legislation review and education.
• Support work efforts centered around housing, including zoning code updates, policy development, permitting policies and/or development standards, legislation review and education, and implementation strategies.
• Collaborate on fees, incentives, and streamlining packages for housing and infill development, and coordinate with developers and landowners. Coordinate with current planning team.
• Perform research, data collection, and analysis.
•  Conduct public outreach and education for a variety of programs or projects, including presenting to stakeholders, advisory bodies, the Planning Commission, and the Board of Supervisors. Collaborate with regional partners and stakeholders.
• Utilize technology, such as GIS and mapping software, website management systems, and other tools to advance policy and program implementations.

Planning Services currently offers a hybrid remote work environment and alternative work schedules. This position requires occasional work outside of normal working hours, such as evenings and weekends, to attend and participate in community and/or staff decision-maker meetings and also requires travel to various countywide locations, including both the Auburn and Tahoe City offices, for a variety of meetings and hearings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE
Three (3) years of increasingly responsible planning experience performing duties similar to those of an Associate Planner.

TRAINING
Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in urban, regional, or environmental planning, or a related field.

The goal of the Fire Inspector Trainee position is to increase the number and diversity of qualified prospects for the position of Fire Inspector. 

Training and opportunity to obtain Fire Inspector 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D Certificates, Hazardous Materials First Responder Awareness Training, complete the SFM Task Book for Fire Inspector 1 and obtain an Inspector I Certificate from ICC in conjunction with on-the-job training.

The City of Patterson is seeking a highly qualifed Public Works Director to plan, direct, manage, and oversee the activities and operations of the Public Works Department including the urban forestry division, fleet maintenance division, water operations division, streets and collections division, wastewater treatment division, parks and landscape division, electrical and facility maintenance division, and  regulatory and environmental compliance  division.  The incumbent will coordinate assigned activities with other City departments and outside agencies and provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the City Manager’s Office.

CLASS CHARACTERISITICS:

The Police Office Assistant is a journey-level position, fully competent to independently perform a variety of office support duties. The City of Pleasant Hill is currently seeking applicants for Police Officer Trainee. The Trainee position is a non-sworn, entry-level position. As a Trainee, you will be assigned to attend an upcoming POST-approved Police Academy. Experience & Education: Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

• Experience: None required, although previous experience in law enforcement is desirable.
• Education:  High school diploma and 60 units of college-level course work. Candidates with an honorable discharge may be credited with up to 15 semester units for a minimum of 3 years of active duty in the U.S. Armed Services (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard).

The Housing Authority of the City of Alameda (AHA) is seeking an exceptional, process-orientated professional to serve as the Director of Housing Programs to assist with planning, organizing, managing, and providing administrative direction and oversight for all functions and activities of the Housing Programs Department which administers the various assistance programs the AHA operates. AHA is particularly interested in applications from candidates with a strong track record in a Housing Choice voucher program management in a HUD or PHA position.
