AHA is seeking to fill the Asset Management Specialist position in the Property Operations Department. The Asset Management Specialist performs a variety of specialized technical work in support of the Housing Authority’s asset management and property operations functions. Conducts operational monitoring and asset management analysis by supporting portfolio performance tracking, capital project planning, compliance reporting, and financial review. Provides responsible and professional assistance to the department team, and performs related work as required.

Experience with LIHTC or HUD compliance, property management accounting and/or asset management, and Yardi software are desirable.

Summary

Under general supervision, the Marketing Assistant assists in the planning and organization of registration, marketing, publicity, and community outreach efforts in accordance with District policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of social media strategies and campaigns
• Assist in the administration and maintenance of the District’s website
• Compile and maintain distribution lists for mailings and electronic communications
• Solicit feedback from participants and visitors through online surveys and distribute relevant response data to staff in the District units
• Promote District events, activities, facilities, and other special projects
• Support staff in District Units in the development of news releases, special event flyers/brochures, community announcements, project-based communications, or other communication methods
• Assist with the registration process, including the administration and maintenance of the software
• Assist in the preparation and distribution of the Recreation Division Program Guides
• Answer, screen, and route phone calls from the public

Other Duties and Responsibilities

• May drive a District or personal vehicle to deliver materials or attend meetings
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty* satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

Education/Experience: A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: graduation from high school or GED and at least 2,000 hours of relevant work or volunteer experience, with at least 30 college units completed in recreation or a related field. An associate degree is preferred. Must be at least 18 years old. Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, Canva, and a variety of social media platforms. 

Language Ability: Ability to communicate effectively in English in both written and oral form. Ability to write routine correspondence using correct spelling and grammar.

Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to use common sense and excerise good judgement in solving problems. Ability to establish effective relationships with fellow employees, volunteers and participants and parents/guardians.

Certificates and Licenses: 

• Pediatric First Aid & CPR/AED within 90 days of employment 
• A valid California Driver's License with a good driving record and current automobile insurance
• Department of Justice fingerpring clearance
• Proof of a negative TB skin test

A Dispatcher I is a civilian employee of the Police Department who performs a variety of tasks in the Department’s Support Services Division. The Dispatcher I receives incoming calls for police assistance and response; acts as a primary Dispatcher when appropriate; performs a variety of general support duties related to police communications; completes a wide variety of general clerical duties.

Examples of Duties:

The Dispatcher I duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Answer emergency and non-emergency police related phone calls, help prioritize requests for service based upon available resources, receive radio requests and handle accordingly, type, process and file a wide variety of reports and materials including memos, letters, complaints, declarations, warrants, citations, crime and traffic reports.  Assists Department personnel and the public in person and by phone performing record checks, collecting fees and mailing requested reports to outside agencies in accordance with established regulations.   A Dispatcher I may be assigned to work various hours, shifts, holidays, weekends and overtime.

Typical Qualifications:

A combination of education and work experience including 2-3 years of general office work involving typing of varied materials, public contact, general filing and basic record keeping; type at least 40 wpm net.  Knowledge of business English, spelling; modern office practices and procedures; record keeping. Ability to learn assigned clerical tasks readily and to adhere to prescribed routine; write English legibly; establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public; type and learn the operation of other standard office equipment; a willingness to work varying shifts; and to learn radio dispatching skills.

• Salary: $6,681 - $8,612 per month.

The anticipated hiring range for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Maintenance Supervisor position is $95,985 - $119,982 annually, with a full salary range up to $143,978. The City typically makes offers within the hiring range based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

DESCRIPTION 

The City of Thousand Oaks is seeking a hands-on and technically proficient Wastewater Treatment Plant Maintenance Supervisor to support operations at the Hill Canyon Treatment Plant (HCTP), a 24-hour, Class V advanced tertiary wastewater treatment facility with a 14-million-gallon-per-day capacity that treats an average of eight million gallons of wastewater daily from domestic commercial, and industrial sources. HCTP employs a wide range of sophisticated technologies, including a SCADA system, complex mechanical process equipment, analytical instrumentation and meters, industrial electronic control systems, and power distribution infrastructure.  

The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the maintenance of this diverse and critical equipment, including on-site power generation systems such as biogas-fueled cogeneration and photovoltaic solar array that offsets the facility’s energy use. Treated effluent is produced to an advanced tertiary level and reused for agricultural and landscape irrigation, while biosolids are managed and hauled off-site for composting. This role requires strong leadership, sound technical judgment, and the ability to manage shifting priorities in a highly regulated, continuously operating environment, while ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant plant operations.  

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Plans, organizes, supervises, and evaluates the work of assigned staff; develops, implements, and monitors work plans, processes, systems, and procedures to achieve established goals, objectives, and performance standards.  

• Plans, directs, and evaluates employee performance; establishes performance expectations and development goals; provides regular coaching and feedback; and recommends recognition or corrective action, consistent with the City’s Personnel Rules and Regulations. 

• Participates in the recruitment and selection of maintenance staff; coordinates and provides staff training; and works with employees to address performance or skill deficiencies.  

• Establishes schedules and methods for providing plant maintenance services; identifies staffing, equipment, and material needs; and allocates resources accordingly. 

• Provides leadership to ensure a high-performance, safety-focused, and team-oriented work environment aligned with departmental and City goals.  

• Participates in budget development; forecasts funding needs for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies; monitors expenditure; and recommends budget adjustments as needed. 

• Performs and oversees complex mechanical, electrical, and equipment maintenance and repair activities.  

• Oversees and supports the maintenance, reliability, and performance of the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, including coordination with control technologies, operators, and IT staff to ensure system availability, alarm functionality, and integration with plant equipment and processes.  

• Monitors SCADA system trends, alarms, and performance data to identify equipment issues, support preventive and corrective maintenance activities, and ensure timely response to system or equipment anomalies that may impact plant operations.   

• Monitors work sites to ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures; responds to and resolves complex operational or equipment-related issues. 

• Inspects work in progress and upon completion to ensure compliance with City standards, regulations, and operating procedures.  

• Serves as technical liaison with contractors, consultants, and engineers on mechanical and maintenance-related projects. 

• Maintains inventory of tools, equipment, parts, and supplies required for efficient plant maintenance operations.  

• Operates motorized equipment as required and performs physical and hand-on maintenance work in support of plant operations. 

• Prepares and maintains operational records, reports, and documentation related to maintenance activities.  

• Maintains current knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices through training and professional development. 

• Performs related duties as assigned. 

The City of Simi Valley is seeking a highly skilled and motivated SCADA Systems Analyst to join our Sanitation and Waterworks Divisions. This critical role will coordinate and manage SCADA systems that support essential public utility operations, including waterworks, sanitation, and related infrastructure services. With responsibility for system design, configuration, maintenance, and data analysis, the SCADA Systems Analyst will play a key role in advancing the Division’s mission of providing safe, sustainable, and high-quality utility services.

• Salary range: $113,865.64 - $146,464.03 annually with Excellent Benefits
  • 3% Cost of Living Adjustment increase on 7/3/26
• Full-time regular position
• 9/80 work schedule with alternating Monday or Friday off

 

                          MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Education/Training:

• Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer science, information technology, business administration or a related field.

Experience:

• Five years experience designing, analyzing, programming, and supporting enterprise information systems, including two years experience managing complex information technology projects.

License or Certificate:

• Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) is desired.
