Under supervision of the Ironworker Superintendent, performs structural maintenance, repair and construction for the Golden Gate Bridge and other District facilities as required. Following plans and specifications, lays-out and fabricates a wide range of items.

Essential Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance, repair and construction for the Golden Gate Bridge and other District facilities including, but not limited to, the following: 
  1. Maintenance, repair, and replacement of steel components and fasteners. 
  2. Rigging for other crafts. 
  3. Installs and repairs of chain link and other fencing. 
  4. Shop fabrication of steel items and erection of structural and miscellaneous steel items. 
  5. Placement of reinforcing steel for concrete. 
  6. Maintenance of toll collection facilities and equipment. 
• Knows and follows the safety and health rules and safe working practices applicable to his or her job.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with District employees, customers, vendors and all others contacted during the course of work using principles of excellent customer service.

San Mateo County Health is seeking a well-qualified individual for the position of Community Program Analyst II - Aging & Disability Services.

The Community Program Analyst II position within the In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Unit, a community-based service for older adults and people living with disabilities, within the Aging and Disability Services (ADS) Division. The position performs a variety of technical tasks related to monitoring, policy interpretation, policy development, and development of training materials for the IHSS program. Much of the work includes compiling and analyzing data, collaborating with staff and clients/families to ensure a service delivery system that is responsive to the needs of older adults and people with disabilities. Individuals should have knowledge of issues regarding aging, disabilities, functional/cognitive/mental limitations and experience in QA within a large, regulation driven service delivery system.

The Community Program Analyst will conduct QA case documentation reviews, home visits, and consultation as detailed by the California Department of Social Services (State). The analyst will provide technical guidance and education on program regulations and county operations and produce monthly, quarterly and year-end reports for Aging and Disability Services management/executives and State QA/Program Integrity. In addition, the analyst will serve as liaison among social workers, Public Authority and IHSS clients/providers to resolve disputes. The role also includes leading investigations and collaboration with the California Department of Health Care Services on suspected program misuse and oversight of all required QA monitoring work of the unit.

Community Program Analysts provide technical assistance and evaluate program functions to support effective community and client service delivery. They serve as County liaisons with contract service providers, and community-based organizations, ensure compliance with program regulations and procedures and monitor contracts related to assigned programs. Analysts may also perform other work-related duties as required.

The current vacancy is in the ADS Division located in San Mateo, CA, but may move to the South San Francisco office if needed. The position will travel throughout the County to perform the duties of this position. Travel to meetings and training courses located in Sacramento and other counties is also required.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Fluency in Spanish, Russian, Tagalog, Mandarin, or Cantonese (preferred but not required).
• A self-directed, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach, with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Two to three years of leadership experience in a highly regulated program.
• Prior experience with IHSS.
• The ability to prepare professional, detailed written and statistical reports, including experience with data entry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Power Apps), Adobe, and the ability to quickly learn multiple database systems such as the Case Management, Information, and Payrolling System (CMIPS II).
• Skill in building strong, collaborative working relationships with organizations and individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Capacity to manage projects while balancing multiple assignments, adjusting priorities, and meeting deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of systems of care for older adults and people with disabilities from diverse backgrounds and cultures, including experience conducting home visits.
• Familiarity with QA desk reviews and home visits, including identifying assessment discrepancies and concerns, and developing solutions to improve compliance with regulations.
• The ability to analyze, interpret, and implement new and existing federal, state, and county regulations and laws related to IHSS and the continuum of care for older adults and people with disabilities

This is a limited term, at-will position. Limited Term Employees are assigned to assignments not to exceed three years. They receive medical and dental benefits, similar to regular employees, and a defined contribution retirement plan. • Bachelor's degree in public or business administration, management or a related field and four years of professional level analytical, administrative and programmatic experience in a community-related setting, including some experience in contract monitoring.

THE POSITION

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is currently hiring to fill one (1) full-time vacancy for the position of Psychiatric Technician I/II (Licensed) within the Mobile Crisis Care Program (MCCP) for the day shift. 

Tri-City’s MCCP operates 24/7 to provide crucial support in mobile crises. As such, the schedule will involve a 3/12 shift pattern, consisting of three twelve-hour days per workweek and one alternating eight-hour day every other week. Shifts may include weekends, daytime hours, and holidays.

This position will first work a 5/40 schedule for approximately 3-6 months of training before transitioning into the day shift schedule.

Examples of day shifts are included below:

• Day Shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, or 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Weekend and night shifts will be entitled to Shift Differential Pay of $2.50 per hour on weekdays (Monday through Friday) and $3.50 per hour on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Holiday shifts will be entitled to Holiday Pay.

Tri-City is looking for an individual to serve as a Psychiatric Technician I/II (Licensed) on a full-time basis for the MCCP. The MCCP Psychiatric Technician will be part of a team that provides crisis intervention and stabilization, linkage and referral, consultation, and education within the scope of practice. The MCCP Psychiatric Technician will report to the Mobile Crisis Care Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Program Manager.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but are not limited to, the following:

Positions at the Psychiatric Technician I level may perform some of these duties and responsibilities in a learning capacity.

• Under the direction of clinical staff, provides medication management services to a caseload of clients in the office and in the field; ensures the proper acquisition and administration of medication.
   
• Provides education and training to clients, their families, and/or staff on the proper care and use of medications, including symptoms of, reactions to, or side effects of, specific medications; informs clients of the impact of abuse and/or misuse of medications.
   
• Conducts home/field visits to evaluate client’s physical environment and behavior such as anxiety, withdrawals, and behavioral health progression/regression.
   
• Takes and records measures of clients’ vital signs, physical condition, and behaviors; assists and observes clients self-dispense medication as prescribed by a psychiatrist and administers scheduled injections.
   
• Conducts medication checks on clients to assess their overall medication management capabilities; takes appropriate action if client poses danger with respect to the use or abuse of medication; observes, evaluates, records, and reports to professional staff changes in client’s condition.
   
• Motivates clients to develop self-reliance in daily living; encourages clients to participate in group and/or individual therapy/program activities.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Redwood City Fire Department is seeking individuals for the position of Cadet Firefighter. The Cadet Firefighter Program is designed to allow students an opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge of fire department operations. About the role:                   

The Parks, Recreation & Community Services Manager – Arts & Events is responsible for overseeing the City’s signature community events, cultural programming, and public art initiatives that celebrate Redwood City’s diverse community and vibrant downtown. This position manages the planning, coordination, and production of a wide range of public events including festivals, concerts, cultural celebrations, and arts programming that bring people together and foster community pride.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

18-week training program that teaches basic technical and job-readiness skills to prepare participants for a IAM Local 1414 Registered Apprenticeship for the Automotive Mechanic, Machinist, Auto Body Painter, or Body and Fender Repairer. The 18-week program includes eighteen (18) weeks of free academic training through City College of San Francisco, as well as nine (9) weeks paid on-the-job experience. All equipment and uniforms are provided by the program. First nine (9) weeks of program at CCSF Evans Campus 8 am-4 pm Mon-Thurs. (unpaid)

The Position

 
The San Bruno Police Department is recruiting for entry-level Public Safety Dispatchers.  Public Safety Dispatchers are responsible for public safety dispatch and related records management activities. This position operates on a 24-hour, 365 days per year basis, and may be assigned to either a day, swing, or graveyard shift on a regular, rotational basis that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.  Public Safety Dispatchers perform a wide range of duties involving radio, telephone, and computers, applying various procedures and codes. Dispatchers receive and transmit emergency and non-emergency telephone and radio traffic as well as process communication reports, records, and radio logs, while maintaining
a high level of confidentiality.  Dispatchers may also support the Police Department by performing clerical tasks, training, assisting with fingerprinting, and being accountable for financial transactions.  This position is integral in supporting the goals and objectives of the City and Police Department.  

Examples of Duties

Essential Duties

• Receives and transmits emergency
  and non-emergency
  telephone and radio traffic.  

• Maintains and processes a variety of communications reports, records and radio logs.

• Operates a dispatch console, uses Computer Aided Dispatch (C.A.D.) System and other computer programs to process information and records.

• Responsible for various Record Management System (RMS) entries, some of these include but are not limited to citations, warrants, subpoenas. 

• Responsible for accurate and timely entries into the California Law Enforcement Telecommunication System (CLETS), as well as, the National Crime Information Center (NCIC).

• Maintains a high level of confidentiality.

• Performs collateral duties including a variety of related clerical tasks:
  records entry, assisting in fingerprinting and jail operations, which may include searching prisoners; and is accountable for handling cash, bond, and check transactions. 

• Performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications 

 

Must be able to pass an extensive background investigation. 
 
Education

• Possession of a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Additional related college course work or degree preferred.

Experience

• At least one (1) year of related work experience requiring alertness and independent judgment, but no previous public safety dispatch experience is required.

Certificates and Licenses

• Must possess and maintain a valid California Driver’s License, Class C with a good driving record.

• Typing certificate issued within the last year verifying minimum typing speed of thirty-five (35) net words per minute with a maximum of nine (9) errors. Typing certificate must be submitted with application to be considered.  Online typing certificate permitted with application; formal test will be administered to final candidate.

• Completion within the last year of the POST Entry Level Dispatcher Selection Test Battery with a preferred minimum
  score of 48 or above;
  or CritiCall Dispatch passing test results within a year of application date.

• Certificate must be submitted with application to be considered.

What happens next?

• We will review your application and all supplemental materials to select the best qualified applicants to continue in the process. Screening will include a review of minimum qualifications, application appraisal rating of education, training and experience and relevance of background qualifications related to the target job as well as supplemental questions if applicable.

• Applicants selected to move forward in the process may be asked to participate in any combination of the following (at any phase of the selection process): a written examination, job related exercise, physical test or job simulation, phone interview, in-person or video interview(s), and/or web-based testing.

• The final phase of the selection process is the probationary period, which in most cases is one year, depending on your classification.
