In this essential role, you will serve as the primary contact and liaison for the City Manager’s Department, working under the general supervision of the Assistant City Manager. The Code Enforcement Officer is distinguished from the Supervisor by performing work of moderate difficulty and more routine tasks and duties assigned to this position within this classification series. Additionally, the Code Enforcement Officer will issue notices, citations, and follow up on compliance efforts in a fair and consistent manner. It is also imperative that the Code Enforcement Officer maintain accurate case files and documentation for possible legal proceedings.

This recruitment seeks a team to support the City Clerk in a citywide digitizing project involving historical files, records, maps, drawings, and related materials.  The project runs from October through December with team members working between 16~36 hours per week, depending on their availability and preferences.  Team members will work collaboratively in groups of three to four and must have the ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 25 pounds.

The Greater Vallejo Recreation District is a Special Service District that has been serving area residents for over sixty years. As a Special Service District, GVRD operates as a separate government agency from the City of Vallejo. GENERAL SUMMARY

This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising staff in landscape activities, defining and adhering to fertilization requirements, conducting inspections of grounds, and responding to resident concerns.

Supervise and participate in the preparation, application and use of chemicals fertilizers and pesticides; prepare and maintain records for monthly pesticides report; inspect pesticide storage facilities for compliance with state and local laws and regulations.

The Senior Inspector is a supervisory classification responsible for performing the more complex building, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical inspections and supervising and coordinating the work of less experienced inspectors and support staff. Depending on the area of expertise, each Senior Inspector may be assigned to one or more of the following Programs or specialties: Building, Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical, Permit Center, and Code Enforcement. An incumbent in this classification is expected to perform as an expert and exercises considerable independent judgment in the performance of duties. Overview: 

The Resident Construction Inspector will be responsible for performing onsite construction inspection duties to ensure that construction work is performed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements, while also ensuring quality and safety. This role is critical to Valley Water’s capital projects in support of flood control, water storage, treatment plant, distribution and facility improvements with a primary focus on projects within the 10-Year Pipeline Inspection and Rehabilitation Program such as the West Pipeline Inspection and Rehabilitation Project- Phases 1&2 as well as the Almaden Valley Pipeline Inspection and Rehabilitation Project.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Facilitating collaboration and providing support for external contractors to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, methods, equipment, workmanship, and Valley Water policies and procedures.
• Monitoring work site safety programs to ensure compliance with Valley Water requirements.
• Coordinating field or laboratory materials testing for fluids, sand, aggregate, soils concrete, asphalt coatings, welding, and other materials to ensure compliance with project standards; document and provide results to contractor; maintain testing reports.
• Preparing detailed daily field reports, and project documentation; coordinating with contractors and project engineers; identifying and resolving field issues in a timely manner; and supporting effective communication across project teams.
• Act as Valley Water liaison with contractors, utility companies, homeowners, general public, government agencies (cities) and organizations construction facilities adjacent to Valley Water properties or facilities.
• Reviewing and assisting in the negotiation of monthly progress pay estimates (PPEs) including confirming quantities and work performed to date, ensuring accurate payment for completed work.

The City of Sebastopol is seeking a professional, collaborative problem-solver to serve as the next Planning Director. The Planning Director will direct, oversee, and materially participate in the work of the City’s Planning Department, including current and long-range planning, maintenance of the General Plan, Housing Element, and zoning codes, and review of proposals for construction and development within the City of Sebastopol. The selected candidate will coordinate activities, permits, and projects with other City departments. In addition to reviewing and preparing recommendations to the Planning Commission on development proposals, and serve as the official secretary and officer of the Planning Commission.

The Planning Director performs professional planning duties in the fields of long-range planning, current planning, and building permitting, including a variety of diverse professional planning assignments. The incumbent will oversee technical reviews and evaluations of land use and permit applications, handle the most complex customer service issues, environmental impact documents, and construction projects, and provide supervision or lead direction to professional and support staff. The director will ensure compliance with all aspects of the City’s General Plan and related ordinances and laws, and perform related work as assigned.

The Position:

This is a temporary, as-needed position assigned to the City of Santa Clara’s Electric Utility Department, Silicon Valley Power (SVP). The position is part of the Systems Support Group (SSG), which functions as the technology backbone of SVP and is responsible for critical technology modernization, cybersecurity, and operational support in response to rapid utility growth and evolving regulatory requirements.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and support both enterprise and utility-specific network infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on Cisco technologies. The incumbent plays a critical role in ensuring the availability, performance, and security of the organization’s overall network environment, including the SVP’s utility communication and control systems.
 
In this role, the Network Administrator is responsible for administering and monitoring network services, managing a variety of advanced network and security products—including, but not limited to, Cisco firewalls and intrusion prevention systems- and maintaining compliance with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) requirements as well as applicable state and local mandates. This position involves supporting and maintaining complex multi-protocol infrastructure components, including enterprise-grade Cisco firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless controllers. Additionally, it consists of managing secure VPN access, routing protocols, and future zero-trust network access initiatives.

As an as-needed employee, this is an "at-will" position, and there is no guarantee of hours. Hours are limited to 999 in a fiscal year or 960 hours in a fiscal year for retired CalPERS annuitants.

The salary range for this position is $55.00 - $84.69.  This position may be filled at or near the minimum of the salary range. 

Typical Duties:

Network: Design, configure, deploy, and maintain secure enterprise-grade network infrastructure, including routers, switches, wireless controllers, and access points within a large and complex high-availability multi-protocol environment.

Network Performance: Proactively monitor network utilization and capacity, and troubleshoot issues related to connectivity, degradation, or failure.

Network Security: Design, configure, deploy, and maintain, including but not limited to firewalls, VPNs, IPS systems, and zero-trust platforms, in a highly segmented environment.

VOIP: Support VoIP infrastructure to ensure QoS, call quality, and reliability.

Cybersecurity: Investigate and produce comprehensive reports on all cybersecurity incidents and threats.

Access Control: Maintain a zero-trust security model, implementing strict access controls, multi-factor authentication, and least-privilege principles.

Process and Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and change control records to ensure consistency and compliance.

Operational Support: Participate in the ticketing queue for service requests and after-hours maintenance windows as needed.

Communication: Communicate effectively on technical issues and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Education Requirements: 

Associate degree from an accredited University.

Minimum Experience Requirements: 

Three (3) Years of Hands-On experience within an enterprise environment as a Network Administrator, Network Engineer, Sr. Network Engineer, or Network Architect.

Desirable Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited University.
• Five (5) Years of Hands-On experience within an enterprise environment as a Network Administrator, Network Engineer, Sr. Network Engineer, Network Architect, or equivalent, preferably within a NERC-CIP regulated public utility.
• Experience administering Cisco ASA & FTD Firewalls, Core Switches, and Edge Routers
• Experience administering HP Aruba Switches and Wireless Controllers
• Certifications: Active (non-expired) professional certifications such as Cisco (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE), Palo Alto (PCNSE), HP Aruba, Azure Cloud, and/or industry-recognized cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CompTIA Security+, GIAC, etc.).  Proof of active certifications must be uploaded with your application submission.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  

• Expert knowledge of Cisco IOS, NX-OS, and Cisco firewall administration.
• Expert knowledge of STP, VTP, DTP, HSRP, and GLBP
• Proficient at Layer 3 routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
• Knowledgeable of Industrial communication protocols (DNP3, Modbus, serial comms).
• Security technologies: Firewalls, VPNs, NAC, IPS/IDS, zero-trust frameworks.
• Wireless standards (802.11n/ac/ax/be) across 2.4, 5, and 6 GHz, and enterprise wireless controller management.
• IT/OT Segmentation and Best Practices for Critical Infrastructure Protection.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to document complex network topologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Other Requirements:  

• Incumbents will have to pass initial and periodic comprehensive background checks, which may include fingerprinting, to meet Federal, State, and/or industry security requirements.
• Incumbents will be required to obtain and maintain any license or certification mandated by Federal or State requirements. They must be able to perform all the essential functions of the job assignment.
