DEFINITION

Perform a wide range of administrative and office support activities for the facilities program area within the Recreation, Arts, and Community Services Department.  The incumbent should be organized, detail-oriented, accurate, and adept with various computer software.  Perform routine correspondence, field public inquiries, maintain departmental files consistent with the Town’s records retention policy, schedule appointments and tours, and assist with data entry.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED

Receives direction from assigned management personnel. May exercise technical supervision over other part-time/temporary positions.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Essential duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Perform general clerical duties related to the facilities program area
• Assist with simple analysis as needed such as entering data and creating charts in Excel spreadsheets or entering data in the enterprise-wide financial software
• Order and maintain facility supply inventories and ensure office equipment in working order
• Determine and manage priorities for multiple tasks to meet assigned deadlines
• Manage multiple facilities schedules and schedule the staff for programs and events
• Input facility applications and collect payment for outstanding balances
• Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence or mail
• Schedule and coordinate facility tours as required
• Work cooperatively with other departments, outside agencies, and the public
• Understand the organization and operations of assigned department and Town as necessary to carry out responsibilities
• Understand and apply operating rules and procedures of department and Town
• Performs duties within OSHA standards
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of:           

• Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
• Bookkeeping principles and procedures; business mathematics
• Strong command of English language; spelling, grammar, and punctuation
• Type accurately at 45 words per minute

Ability to:      

• Communicate clearly and effectively in both oral and written form
• Understand and follow a variety of oral and written instructions with minimal supervision
• Apply operating rules and procedures of assigned department
• Establish and maintain effective work relationships with colleagues
• Maintain financial records and general filing systems

THE POSITION

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is currently hiring to fill two (2) full-time vacancies for the position of Clinical Therapist II within the Mobile Crisis Care Program (MCCP). 

Tri-City’s MCCP operates 24/7 to provide crucial support in mobile crises. As such, the schedule will involve a 3/12 shift pattern, consisting of three twelve-hour days per workweek and one alternating eight-hour day every other week. Shifts may include evenings, weekends, daytime hours, and holidays.

The specific shift and schedule will be determined by the supervisor; however, the first one to two months of training will follow a 5-day-per-week, 40-hour-per-week schedule

Examples of shifts are included below:

• Day Shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, or 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Night Shifts: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 7:00 PM - 3:00 AM, 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM, or 8:00 PM - 4:00 AM

Weekend and night shifts will be entitled to Shift Differential Pay of $2.50 per hour on weekdays (Monday through Friday) and $3.50 per hour on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Holiday shifts will be entitled to Holiday Pay.

Tri-City is looking for individuals to serve as Clinical Therapist II on a full-time basis for the MCCP. The MCCP Clinical Therapist II will be part of a team that provides crisis intervention and stabilization, linkage and referral, consultation, and education within the scope of practice. The MCCP Clinical Therapist II will report to the Mobile Crisis Care Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Program Manager.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Respond to client’s (Full-Service Partnership and Adult and Children’s Outpatient Programs and other specialty mental health services) crisis calls with or without law enforcement;
   

• Perform field-based and telephone emergency mental health evaluations and crisis stabilization in accordance with agency procedure;
   

• Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services to individuals, groups, and families;
   

• Identify treatment needs and make appropriate referrals for necessary services;
   

• Assist clients and relatives with understanding behavioral health problems and their reaction to them;
   

• Work on a multidisciplinary team for crisis response.

The City of Orinda Planning Department seeks a strong customer-service oriented Planning Technician to primarily staff the Planning Counter and process code-enforcement cases.  Depending on experience, the successful candidate may also gain opportunities to assist with various current and long-range planning tasks.  This non-exempt position reports to the Director of Planning.

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply:

This is an entry level position in the professional planning field.  Applicants must meet at least one of the following education/experience qualifications.

1. A four-year bachelor’s degree in planning or a related field
2. Equivalent to two years of college, supplemented by at least two years of job experience or training in the planning or a related field

Primary duties of the Planning Technician include (but are not limited to):

• Assist the public at the service counter, collect and process forms, permit applications and plans.
• Respond to counter and telephone inquiries and provide information related to building and planning applications, plan checking procedures, policies, and functions.
• Compute required fees.
• Assist with data collection, analyze data using a variety of data sources, including GIS.
• Create and maintain departmental activities files. Research files for information in response to department staff requests.
• Assist with reporting requirements such as the Annual Progress Report for the Housing Element.
• Create building permit database and land use tracking systems
• Maintain and update GIS mapping system and other databases, create charts and maps as requested.
• Process code enforcement cases.
• Coordinate and conduct follow-up abatement procedures, including preparing correspondence, and property owner site visits. Conduct code and ordinance research for compliance. Receive, track/monitor and investigate public staff municipal codes and ordinances, standards, health and safety and other complaints.
• Conduct review of discretionary planning applications for design review, exceptions, tree removal, and other related requests.
• Serve as the City’s staff liaison to various groups (i.e., Orinda Historical Society)
  Basic mathematical principles.

• Proficiency in GIS mapping.
• English usage, spelling, vocabulary, grammar and punctuation.
• Working knowledge of modern office equipment and procedures, including the use of a variety of software applications.
• Principles and procedures of record keeping.

BUILDING ATTENDANT

Salary:  $17.37 to $28.95/hour, non-benefitted position, DOE

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Facility duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Unlock and lock buildings for renters and programs.
• Be present and assist renters during events.
• Set up and breakdown tables and chairs for rentals and program classes.
• Maintain and keep facilities clean during and after events.
• Move furniture/equipment and return to appropriate storage areas after events.
• Assist renters with facility equipment usage.
• Clean sinks, counters, mirrors, stalls, floors, restrooms, and garbage disposal before and after rentals and program classes to ensure facilities are clean inside and outside.
• Performs duties within OSHA standards.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED

Works under general supervision of the Facilities Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to relate well to the public.
• Be reliable and responsible.
• Inform renters of current facility policies and procedures.

Annual Salary: $149,472 - $198,792 (placement in this range depends on qualifications)

The Economic Development Manager will plan, organize, direct, coordinate and manage the activities of the economic development program utilizing specialized knowledge and skills to develop and implement strategies and projects to encourage business attraction, retention and expansion.  

The Economic Development Manager receives administrative direction from the Community Development Director. Responsibilities and essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to: 

• Assist the City Manager in developing and implementing the goals, objectives, policies and priorities for the economic development program. 
• Prepare and present staff reports and information on economic development projects to the City Council.
• Plan, prepare and implement marketing strategies, programs and special events that promote and expand the quality of life for both residents and businesses in the City and support economic vitality of the City.
• Participate in and manage collaborative programs of economic development with the Chamber of Commerce, business community and other public and private sector entities.
• Serve as the City’s representative and primary liaison to the Pleasant Hill Tourism Improvement District (TID), including staff support for formation/renewal of the TID. 
• Monitor, compile, analyze and report on various information data sources including employment, retail sales tax, business license, commercial real estate, population and demographics, hotel occupancy rates and assessed property values.
• Coordinate with other City divisions/departments on current and planned development projects.
• Exercise management and operational authority over assigned projects, services, and administration operations; maintain financial and administrative processes and records; develop recommendations for establishing and/or modifying policies and procedures.
• Monitor workflow of the Economic Development Division and review and evaluate work products, methods and procedures and make necessary recommendations to the City Manager.
• Prepare budget and forecasting for the Economic Development Division.
• Serve as primary staff support for the City Council’s Economic Development Committee providing policy research and project implementation of economic development activities in the City.
• Serve as the City’s primary contact with the commercial real estate brokerage community including participation at local and regional International Council of Shopping Center (ICSC) events.
• Represent the City and establish and maintain positive working relationships with representatives of community organizations, business organizations, state and local agencies and associations, city management, staff and the general public.
• Serve as the City’s liaison with the property owner and manager of Downtown Pleasant Hill to coordinate and facilitate projects in the Downtown. 
• Perform related duties as assigned.

The Position

The City of Fremont's Human Services Department is seeking temporary employees to work evening shifts, from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. during winter months (approximately October 13, 2025, through April 30, 2026). This position plays a vital role in supporting the temporary Winter Relief emergency shelter program, which provides a safe and welcoming environment for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

Winter Relief Monitors will work under the direction of a Senior Program Coordinator and be responsible for up to 20 hours of work per week.

Training will include topics including harm reduction, de-escalation, Critical Time Intervention (CTI), and local community-based resources.

Examples of Duties

• Foster a supportive and respectful environment through empathetic communication, addressing emotional challenges that may arise during participant transitions.
• Enforce program rules to maintain a safe environment by providing verbal warnings and educational support to promote understanding and voluntary compliance.
