The eligibility list established will be used for the accounting division vacancies and may be used for future Accounting Technician vacancies.

The Position: 

This is a lead role for the City’s Key Customers and the key customer engagement team. This role is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing our business relationships with key customers, ensuring their needs are met with exceptional service and support.

 In this role, you will build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders of major customer accounts while providing administrative and technical support. This position will require strong problem-solving and customer service skills to find and implement solutions. You will work with other departments to improve customer experiences and support, and you will create and share reports and presentations with senior management, highlighting important customer insights. This position will lead direction for assigned professional, technical, and clerical staff and perform work on the more difficult customer accounts as assigned.

Effective December 21, 2025, the salary range for this position will be 135,246.00 – 172,696.44. This position may be filled at or near the minimum of the salary range. 

Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum Education Requirements: 

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, business administration, marketing or a closely related field.

 

Minimum Experience Requirements: 

Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in a utility or business organization where work responsibilities have involved project management, public affairs, and/or marketing. 

 

Acceptable Substitution: 

• Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience may be accepted in-lieu of a bachelor’s degree.  

 

• A Master's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or other related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience. 

 

License/Certifications: 

Possession of an appropriate, valid California driver's license is required.

 

Desirable Qualifications: 

Experience supervising assigned professional and other staff is desirable.

 

Other Requirements:  

May be required to work unusual hours in emergency situations.  Must be able to perform all the essential functions of the job.

The salary range listed above reflects the full compensation potential for this position. ABOUT THE POSITION

About the Position: The Maintenance, Construction, and Resource Supervisor supervises the staff responsible for carrying out capital improvement projects, managing natural resources, and performing general preserve maintenance. The ideal candidate will plan, prioritize, and oversee construction and maintenance work; communicate effectively and collaborate with other departments to complete project requirements; coordinate with consultant teams; work with local and regulatory jurisdictional agencies to meet permitting requirements; evaluate employee performance; and ensure all safety procedures are followed. The position works under the general direction of the Capital Projects Manager or Area Manager and provides direct and general supervision to technical and maintenance staff.                                   IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Our ideal candidate is team-oriented, adaptable, and meticulous. We have found the following knowledge and skills are the most useful in finding success in this position:

• Electronic and Electrical theory and circuit design, current loops, ultrasonic level sensors, and pressure transducers.
• National Electric Code, Electronic theory, principles and practices of instrumentation including current loops, ultra-sonic sensors, transducers, calibration, alignment, and configuration procedures.
• Occupational hazards, NFPA70E, standard safety practices, and applicable electrical codes.
• Operational characteristics of fiber-optic and SCADA systems.
• Office procedures, methods and equipment including computers and applicable Microsoft Office and other software applications.
• Install, modify, design, calibrate and repair electrical equipment related to electronics, instrumentation control, motor control, and telemetry.
• Read, interpret and understand technical manuals, electronic schematics, blueprints, drawings, other related electrical drawings, and diagrams.
• Design, update and fabricate new equipment, control systems, and software.
• Maintain detailed records and prepare clear and concise reports.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships; communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing with those contacted in the course of work.

• Medical Premiums are covered at 100% for most plans, even family coverage.
• Coverage available as early as 1st of the month following start date.
• A variety of PPO and HMO plans are available through the CalPERS Health Program.
• The City contributes $158.00 per month and up to $2,387.04 per month in “Simiflex Dollars,” towards the cost of medical. 
• “Simiflex Dollars” can be used to offset the cost of medical, dental, and/or vision insurance, or other optional benefits. 

Paid Leave:

• Work/Life balance with 5.2 weeks of AL (Annual Leave) per year to start (AL combines vacation and sick time). 
• Accruals increase at 5 years and 10 years of service.
• Cash out option available after one year of service.
• 11 paid holidays per year and one floating holiday per year.

Prescription Drug Plan: 

• Major retail options and mail order program.

Paid Dental Insurance:

• HMO and PPO options available from Delta Dental and fully covered by the City for family coverage.

Vision Insurance:

• Vision insurance from VSP costs the employee $1.46 per month for family coverage.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA): 

• An FSA account allows employees to set aside pre-tax dollars for out-of-pocket health and dependent care expenses.
