About the Position:  The EMO reports to a Maintenance Supervisor or Field Resource Specialist in the Land Stewardship & Trails Department. The selected individual will be responsible for using heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, dozers, agricultural tractors, backhoes and rollers. Other responsibilities include the operation and maintenance of gas and electric-powered tools such as chainsaws, welders, and compactors.  For additional information about the position, see the job description on our website.

Education & Experience:

Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:

High School Diploma or G.E.D. supplemented by specialized training in heavy equipment repair and operation and three (3) years of experience operating and transporting heavy equipment and maintaining and repairing vehicles, tools, and power equipment.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Possession of a valid California’s Driver’s License.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California Class A Driver’s License with appropriate endorsements within twelve (12) months of appointment.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, Basic First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification within six (6) months of employment.
• Depending on assignment, possession of, or ability to obtain, a District approved Fire Suppression Training certification, within twelve (12) months of assignment into the District’s fire program.   

Working Conditions:   The EMO is a full-time position within the Land Stewardship & Trails Department.  May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Following onboarding and successfully meeting job performance expectations, may be eligible for the flexible work program which includes 9/80 schedules. May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must wear prescribed District uniform and adhere to strict safety procedures and work habits. Depending on the exposure, employee is required to wear head, hearing, eye, foot, face, hand, and full protection equipment. Employees work in the field and are exposed to loud noise levels, cold and hot temperatures, inclement weather conditions, road hazards, vibration, confining workspace, chemicals, mechanical and/or electrical hazards, hazardous physical substances and fumes, and poison oak.

ABOUT THE POSITION

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, forward-thinking professional to join our team as Facility Maintenance Manager and lead our dynamic citywide facility maintenance program. The City of Colfax is currently accepting applications for Maintenance Worker I. This is an entry level position in the Public Works department requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience in a semi-skilled maintenance occupation. Typical duties include: landscape maintenance, electrical and plumbing repairs, minor construction and light carpentry projects, cleaning public restrooms, keeping public streets and parks clean and in good repair. The employee will check storm drains, culverts and ditches; operate tools and equipment to patch and repair pavement, construct and maintain gutters, sidewalks and other incidental improvements. The ability to operate power tools and work safely, wearing appropriate PPE. Occasional maintenance will be required for the wastewater treatment plant and collection systems. The City of Sunnyvale is looking for an Applications Analyst II to join the Information Technology Department (ITD). This position requires a service-oriented focus, ability to support and enhance our Oracle Cloud ERP & HCM applications, along with primary and secondary support roles for multiple enterprise systems including system configuration, reporting and interfaces, day-to-day operational issues, break/fix, maintenance, upgrades, and on-call rotations.

The ideal candidate will have experience with supporting Human Capital Management (HCM/HR) or Financial systems, preferably an integrated ERP/HCM system, ideally Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications. Our Oracle Cloud ERP modules include General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Procure to Pay, Inventory Management, Accounts Receivable and Project Portfolio Management, and HCM includes Core HR, Benefits, Absence, Time and Labor and Payroll. The candidate will be detail-oriented, able to create and edit documentation, possess strong customer service skills, and understand technical complexities involved in functional configuration, integration, interfaces, and report development with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with end users.
