EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:

Education/Training:

• Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related field.

Experience:

• Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in professional civil engineering work, including two years of supervisory and project management responsibility.

License:

• Possession of a valid driver license and a satisfactory driving record throughout employment.
• Current registration as a Civil Engineer in the State of California.

The City of Dixon is excited to announce the recruitment for a Public Works Director. The Recreation Specialist is a unique position that is primarily responsible for specific projects or long term projects requiring relevant knowledge and expertise.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES (This is a general description of duties and is not all-inclusive)

• Coordinate all aspects of a project
• Set up and maintain project files or computer databases as required
• Provide regular project updates including written reports to project leader in a timely manner

A Dance Instructor (Program Specialist) will plan, prepare and instruct recreation activities. Activities may include art, cooking, dance, pre-school program and other program areas. Programs are designed for children ages 4-17 (primarily 5-12) years of age.

Dance programs may include ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, ballroom, folkloric, salsa, and rhythmic international styles.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES (These duties are a general description and are not all inclusive.)

• Develop and submit lesson plans including class content and material needs.
• Lead organized activities to develop and strengthen youth academic, recreational, and social skills.
• Plan lessons and activities so they are appropriate to students with various abilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age
• Different program areas will have different skills and knowledge requirements for the position; check with Recreation Supervisor. (For example: 6 ECE unites required for pre-school instructor)
• One school year teaching experience
• At least one year's experience working with children in an academic setting
• Must be willing and able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required

Under the supervision of veteran Police Officer's the cadet experiences what it takes to develop important cadet skills. The Newark Recreation and Community Services Department is looking for Pool Service Technician for our fantastic swim lesson and aquatic programs, to work at the Silliman Activity & Family Aquatic Center. We are looking for someone to perform a wide variety of duties related to maintaining the City’s Aquatics facilities, pools, water slides and property. Swimming experience is desired. Those that are successful in the application review will be invited to attend an interview either in person, or via ZOOM. Please note that this position requires you to work in an indoor aquatic environment subject to warm/humid temperatures.

• Applicants should be able to work at least 12-20 hours per week, year-round, including weekends and holidays, with mandatory trainings.
