The Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority is recruiting for an Administrative

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position, occasionally move about inside the office to access supplies and office machinery, frequently communicate and exchange information, review handwritten, electronic and facsimile documents, and operate a computer and other office productivity machinery. The employee must occasionally move items weighing up to 20 pounds inside the office. MRCA offices are spread among multiple buildings and floors and may require traveling up/down steps.

Required Hours and Location

Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week with some scheduling flexibility. Occasional overtime work in evenings or weekends upon prior approval by supervisor. The position will work out of the Los Angeles River Center and Gardens but may occasionally be required to travel to various other locations. Offices at the River Center are spread among multiple buildings and floors. Remote working or a hybrid schedule may be allowed, subject to supervisor approval.

Public Contact

As public parklands, the majority of MRCA properties are open to the general public during operating hours. This position will have contact with members of the public in public areas such as parking lots and shared public/office restrooms, and during public meetings.

Tri-City is looking for an individual to serve as a Clinical Therapist I/II for the Adult Outpatient Program (AOP). THE POSITION

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is currently hiring to fill three (3) full-time vacancies for the position of Psychiatric Technician I/II within the Mobile Crisis Care Program (MCCP). Tri-City’s MCCP is a 24/7 mobile crisis response team with shifts that may include evenings, weekends, daytime hours, and holidays. Weekend and night shifts will be entitled to Shift Differential Pay of $2.50 per hour on weekdays (Monday through Friday) and $3.50 per hour on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). The MCCP Psychiatric Technician will be part of a team that provides crisis intervention and stabilization, linkage and referral, consultation, and education within the scope of practice. The MCCP Psychiatric Technician will report to the Mobile Crisis Care Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Program Manager.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Respond to client’s (Full-Service Partnership and Adult and Children’s Outpatient Programs and other specialty mental health services) crisis calls with or without law enforcement;

• Perform field-based and telephone emergency mental health evaluations and crisis stabilization in accordance with agency procedures;

• Identify treatment needs and make appropriate referrals for necessary services;

• Assist clients and relatives with understanding behavioral health problems and their reaction to them;

• Performs extensive weed abatement to reduce fire hazards and for native revegetation; with use of tractor, chain saw, weed whacker, spraying herbicide or use of hand tools, in/on a variety of landscape types and topographies.
• Provides information to park visitors on park features, natural resources, historical interpretation, safety, and rules.  May lead interpretive hikes.
• Constructs and repairs park facilities such as fencing, restrooms, gates, kiosks.

• Directs volunteer crews such as trail crews, community service workers, and the volunteer Mounted Assistance Units. Coordinate with organized public groups utilizing park facilities.

This position will work out of Holiday Camp Fire Station in Calabasas but may be required to travel to various other locations.

• Completion of BLS First Aid and CPR/AED, or obtain through MRCA when available
• Current National Registry EMT Certification is desired, but not required.

Knowledge of: 

• Moderate proficiency with Office 365 and email, with particular emphasis on word-processing and spreadsheet programs is desired.

Other Requirements

Candidates must have a valid California driver’s license in good standing with a satisfactory driving record. Employees must be willing to participate in agency emergency response, which can be anywhere within the state of California. Bilingual skills in English and another locally common language, such as Spanish, Korean, Farsi, Chinese, Armenian, Yiddish, or Tagalog is highly desired.

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for an individual to serve as a Clinical Therapist I/II for the Adult Full-Service Partnership (FSP). The Clinical Therapist I/II will appeal to individuals who are inspired by challenges and opportunities presented in working with an engaged and active community with moderate to severe behavioral health clients. The Clinical Therapist will report to a Clinical Supervisor.

 

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Provides individual, group, and family interventions, rehabilitation, and treatment services including counseling, therapy, case management, and referral and linkage to community services to a variety of clients including high acuity clients.

• Within scope of authority, assesses, diagnoses, and treats a variety of clients with mental health disorders; collaborates with clients and creates individualized treatments plans according to client’s needs and circumstances.

• Initiates and conducts individual, group, and family counseling and biopsychosocial therapy sessions utilizing a variety of techniques and modalities; provides case management services in the office and in the field.

• Performs routine and emergency intake evaluations according to Authority procedure;
  completes appropriate forms and documents relating to the intake process; and prepares medical and demographic case history for use in diagnosis.

• Assists clients and family members in understanding behavioral health diagnosis, contributing factors/causes, effects, prognosis, rehabilitation, and treatment.

• Works with clients to address stressors and barriers to treatment and/or social functioning; identifies and focuses on client strengths and personal resources to effectively engage and treat client.
