Valley Water is seeking to hire a dedicated Senior Management Analyst/ Management Analyst II to lead pre-award efforts within our Grants, Compliance, and Claims Management Unit. Overview:
The Grants, Compliance, and Claims Management Unit with Valley Water is the centralized unit for seeking and managing grants brought in to help fund Valley Water projects. The pre-award side of work within the unit will be administered by this Senior Management Analyst, with support from a Management Analyst II, and oversight by the Grants Unit Manager.
 
Senior Management Analyst (SMA): Core components of the Senior Management Analysts work will include researching grant opportunities and writing grant applications; high levels of collaboration with project teams, grants liaisons in watersheds and water utility divisions, procurement, legal, government relations, capital improvement program, and communications; and tracking/reporting. The position will tie efforts into the two grant roadmaps (i.e. strategic funding plans), assist in preparing updates to the Board and staff via all employee communications, and aid in early compliance reviews (pre-agreement) to ensure Valley Water can meet grant terms and conditions. As a Senior, the position will help implement new grants management software on the pre-award side in coordination with the unit’s compliance and claims staff, assist in updating standard operating procedures, and work with the Unit Manager to clearly define rationale for which grants to pursue.

Management Analyst II: Core components of the Management Analyst II's work will include assisting the SMA in researching grant opportunities and writing grant applications, coordinating with project teams, tracking and reporting grant-related information, assisting with compliance tracking for federal and state grant terms and conditions, and assisting with grant communications such as the bi-monthly Grants One Pager update for the Board of Directors and the Grants Action Team monthly meeting.

Ideal Training and Education:
Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in public administration, business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field.
Directly related experience may be substituted for the college requirement on the basis of one and one-half years of experience for one year of education to a maximum of four years.

The Department: 
The Parks & Recreation Department supports a vibrant, active quality of life for all ages, abilities, and interests of the Santa Clara community through excellent parks and recreational facilities, community services, programs, and events. The Parks Division provides planning, development, operation, maintenance, and rehabilitation of City parks and open spaces. The Recreation Division provides classes and programs for all ages and abilities. We aim to promote the use of safe, clean, and attractive facilities for enjoyment and quality of life for all ages and abilities. The Cemetery Division maintains 33,000 internment sites in a peaceful public park.
 
The Position: 
An incumbent in this classification is responsible for the safe operation of an assigned swimming pool, including supervising pool personnel, overseeing conduct of pool events, ensuring  collection and security of revenue, and attendant record keeping.  Candidates must be able to serve a variety of ages, abilities and needs in participants from diverse backgrounds with tact and professionalism.
 
As an as-needed employee, this is an "at-will" position and there is no guarantee of hours. Hours are limited to 999 in a fiscal year or 960 hours in a fiscal year for retired CalPERS annuitants.

The hourly salary range for this position is $21.02 - $27.84. This position will be filled at or near the minimum of the salary range.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Requirements
• Education equivalent to completion of the eleventh grade; and
• Three (3) years of experience in swimming pool management, swimming instruction, lifeguarding, or related activity; and
• Must be at least 17 years of age at time of application

Possible Substitution
• One (1) year of experience in lifeguarding and/or swimming instruction with the City of Santa Clara may be substituted for the required three (3) years of experience.

LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATES
Possession of the following certificates is required:
• A valid American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certificate or Completion of City of Santa Clara Learn to Swim Instruction Program; and
• A valid American Red Cross Lifeguard certificate; and
• In accordance with State of California law, a valid California Work Permit is required at time of appointment for candidates under the age of 18 who have not graduated from high school or been awarded a certificate of proficiency

The City of Santa Clara is recruiting for the Electric Utility Chief Operating Officer for its Electric Utility, Silicon Valley Power (SVP).  Reporting to the Chief Electric Utility Officer (CEUO), the Electric Utility Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a senior management position in the City's unclassified service responsible for the oversight and direction for the fiscal, administrative, and managerial operations of the utility. The COO has supervisory and support responsibilities for the utility's divisions: Utility Operations, Customer Development and Project Management, Resource Planning and Customer Engagement, and Business Services. The COO will help guide SVP through the extraordinary period of growth related by doubling the existing capacity of the electrical system to meet new customer demands over the next 10 years. In addition to the expansion, the COO will work to ensure new renewable resources are added to meet the City's and State’s climate goals. The COO is responsible for forecasting service requirements and for planning, organizing and directing assigned resources of the electric utility division in order to meet those requirements. This includes developing and administering the department operations and capital improvement budgets. The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Civil Engineer in the Public Works Division of the Community Development and Services Agency. Under limited supervision, the Senior Civil Engineer will perform the more difficult professional engineering work including the preparation of civil design plans for various Public Works projects, conducting research studies, performing field inspections and testing, analyzing reports, maps, drawings, or geological data, and procuring permits; act as a resource to staff, contracts, consultants, other agencies and the public regarding areas of assignment; provide lead direction and technical assistance to assigned staff and/or project management; and perform related work as assigned. This department is seeking to fill one (1) full-time Power Resources Specialist I/II position to support the Risk Management and Contracts Administration Division.

This position is part of an exciting fast-paced team responsible for mitigating risks and managing a power portfolio comprised of hundreds of megawatts of renewable energy projects.

The selected candidate will have the following duties and responsibilities:

• Evaluate, review, and validate the accuracy of market positions and risk metrics such as mark-to-market, value at risk, gross margin at risk.
• Perform quantitative and analytical data modeling to quantify risks, evaluate risk reduction strategies, aid strategic/ operational decision making and provide insights.
• Update, manage and validate accuracy of Power BI business intelligence dashboards related to energy risk management such as risk limits, forward prices, collateral.
• Execute monthly and ad-hoc data reporting and quantitative modeling tasks.
• Validate and forecast collateral calls from counterparties and the CAISO and verify accuracy of collateral records.
• Collaborate with different divisions and IT department to support the build and implementation of data repository.

The Risk Management and Contracts Administration Division is responsible for providing independent oversight of the risks in transacting for energy products and services as well as ensuring compliance with adopted risk management policies and procedures. This unit provides strategic support to facilitate the development and execution of various contracts, and also manages the contracts administration and settlements function.

Salary Information:

Power Resources Specialist I is $99,503.04 - $121,255.68.

Power Resources Specialist II is $108,282.72-$131,913.60.

This range includes an approximate five (5%) ongoing on-pensionable pay. Actual pay shall be determined by the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Under the direct supervision, performs a variety of difficult and complex professional officer and field engineering work; prepares plans, designs, and specifications for a variety of the Department of Public Works projects; reviews work prepared by outside consultants; prepares engineering reports; and performs related duties as assigned.

Full Time, Part Time, and/or Remote. Primary duty is to review and comment on plans, specifications, and estimates for capital improvement projects. Projects may include road, bridge, and airport improvements. Must live in California and possess a California Professional Civil Engineer License.
