The Dixon Fire Department offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity for qualified applicants pursuing a career in fire safety.  The position performs fire prevention activities to save lives and property; responds to hazardous material incidents; responds to all fire alarms with designated company; prepares and operates the necessary equipment at the scene of the fire such as a hose, ladders, chemicals, bars, hooks, etc.; administers first aid to injured patrons; performs other acts required of a Firefighter at the scene of an emergency; carries out all duties assigned by Superior Officers.  Work involves irregular hours during the day and evenings, and on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

THE POSITION

Tri-City is now actively recruiting for a Clinical Supervisor I or II to lead the MHSSA Grant Team within Tri-City's Child & Family Clinic. This position is a part of a newly federally funded MHSSA Grant Team set to end in December 2026  The Clinical Supervisor I/II position will report to the Clinical Program Manager and will supervise a four staff including Clinical Therapists and Mental Health Specialists.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Collaborate with grant partners, assisting with partner meetings and meeting all grant requirements, i.e. data gathering, service implementation, maintaining ongoing collaboration and participating in trainings);

• Provide individual and group supervision to MHSSA Grant staff including clinicians and mental health support workers; train on Department of Mental Health documentation & review documentation to ensure compliance;

• Will provide guidance to subordinates on Agency philosophy, goals, objectives, policies and procedures through casework conferences, staff meetings, and work review;

• Will participate in creating programs that will increase access to mental health services in locations throughout the community that are easily accessible for students and their families;

• Create and foster partnerships with the local school districts, County Office of Education and local charter schools;

• Work directly with or work with staff who work directly with at high-risk youth, foster youth, youth who identify as LGBTQ+, and youth who have been suspended or expelled from school and their families to provide culturally inclusive and relevant mental health services such as early intervention, suicide prevention, drop-out prevention, evidence based mental health practices and the development and coordination of service plans to address ongoing needs;

• Will assist and participate in the development and coordination of in-service training and staff development programs;

• Will analyze existing caseloads and forecast resource needs; May also carry a caseload;

• Will implement and ensure compliance with mandated documentation and quality assurance requirements to ensure efficient and effective operation of the unit in compliance with federal and state regulations;

• Participate in the monthly on-call rotation and provide crisis interview & assessments; and other duties as assigned.

THE POSITION

To monitor City facilities during programs and rentals; to open and close facilities; to set up and take down equipment; to provide information and assistance to the public in person and on the phone; to perform general administrative tasks when assigned; to perform certain custodial duties; to ensure user compliance with policies, regulations, and laws pertaining to facility use; and to perform other duties as assigned. Temporary / Part-Time employees work no more than 130 hours per month

All of these positions are temporary/part time. Temporary employees work no more than 130 hours per month AND 960 hours in a Fiscal Year.

The pay cycle is bi-weekly.  Except for worker's compensation coverage and sick leave accrual, no other benefits are provided. Employees must contribute 1.45% of salary to Medicare and 7.5% to a retirement plan in accordance with Federal Law.

The Senior Lifeguard/Swim Instructor performs a variety of duties to ensure the City of Dixon swimming pool is a safe and enjoyable aquatic facility. Supervises pool patrons, enforces pool rules, performs first aid and emergency rescues, instructs swim lessons, performs cashiering duties, leads recreational activities; performs related and other work as required.

Position requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping in the performance of daily activities.  The position also requires grasping, repetitive hand movement and fine coordination in keeping records and preparing reports using a computer keyboard.  Additionally, the position requires near and far vision in reading written reports and work-related documents and acute hearing is required when providing phone and personal service.  The nature of the work may require the incumbent to lift equipment and materials weighing up to 25 pounds or more.

Advanced principles and practices of information technology systems, systems analysis, programming, design, and application documentation; current computer industry technology practices and trends, including system development and administration; principles and practices of systems analysis and programming; data import and export routines, and report writing applications; project management methodologies; principles and practices of business systems and workflow analysis; common application programming languages; standards and protocols for data communications and methodologies for database management; PC operations and networks; principles, practices, techniques and methods of LAN applications and operations; computer hardware, software, major operating systems and data communications; Microsoft database applications, Excel, and MS Office; troubleshooting techniques used in resolving operational problems with computer software; pertinent local, state, and federal laws, ordinances and rules; proper English, spelling, and grammar; occupational hazards and standard safety practices.

Analyze requirements and procedures to determine the technical database requirements of applications analysts and users; effectively work with City employees from multiple departments, contract employees, and outside vendors to complete information technology projects; conduct analyses of alternatives; develop and review a technical support plan; write computer programs in accordance with established standards and practices; maintain and update highly technical and complex manuals, codebooks, and computer control tables; prepare and maintain documentation for systems procedures, such as network applications, troubleshooting, backup, and recovery procedures; develop standards and procedures to be used by other to efficiently utilize database facilities; analyze users’ requests and needs, and apply appropriate guidelines and resources to resolve them; provide technical expertise and knowledge in design, implementation, and maintenance of database management systems; optimize existing data access and availability; troubleshoot and accurately diagnose a wide variety of software, hardware, and LAN problems; design and program a variety of database and specialized software utilizing standard programming languages; communicate effectively and explain software usage to computer users of all skill levels; train and instruct others in application and database procedures; respond appropriately, effectively, and promptly to the needs of internal and external customers using principles of good customer service.

THE SELECTION PROCESS

The process may include an in-basket exercise, individual interviews, panel interviews and/or other related components.  Only those candidates who have the best combination of qualifications in relation to the requirements and duties of the position will continue in the selection process.
