THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for a special individual to serve as a Bilingual Clinical Therapist I/II for the Children’s Full Service Partnership/Children and Transitional Age Youth (FSP/ C TAY). The Clinical Therapist I/II provides behavioral health clinical intervention and recovery services to assigned clients and their families; processes DMH documentation; participates in an on-call rotation; develops treatment plans and performs individual, group, and family psychotherapeutic counseling, routine and emergency assessment, crisis intervention, and related treatment services; manages an assigned caseload of adults, juveniles, and/or children; provides consultation to other staff, programs, and agencies related to treatment needs and plans; and performs related duties as assigned. 

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Provides individual, group, and family interventions, rehabilitation, and treatment services including counseling, therapy, case management, and referral and linkage to community services to a variety of clients including high acuity clients.
   
• Within scope of authority, assesses, diagnoses, and treats a variety of clients with mental health disorders; collaborates with clients and creates individualized treatments plans according to client’s needs and circumstances.
   
• Initiates and conducts individual, group, and family counseling and biopsychosocial therapy sessions utilizing a variety of techniques and modalities; provides case management services in the office and in the field.
   
• Performs routine and emergency intake evaluations according to Authority procedure; completes appropriate forms and documents relating to the intake process; and prepares medical and demographic case history for use in diagnosis.
   
• Assists clients and family members in understanding behavioral health diagnosis, contributing factors/causes, effects, prognosis, rehabilitation, and treatment.
   
• Works with clients to address stressors and barriers to treatment and/or social functioning; identifies and focuses on client strengths and personal resources to effectively engage and treat client.
   
• Participates in an on-call rotation.
   
• Performs related duties as assigned

The City of Brisbane is currently recruiting certified Swim Instructors for our beautiful outdoor aquatic facility. Swim Instructors instruct organized aquatic safety and swim classes with the safety standards and procedures set by the American Red Cross. Swim Instructors may also serve as Lifeguards (if certified), whose duties include patrolling and watching the activities in and around the community swimming pool, enforcing regulations to prevent accidents, and rescuing swimmers in distress. ABOUT THE POSITION

The City of Redwood City Parks, Recreation & Community Services Department invites you to apply for the casual position of Building Attendant. This position requires weekday and weekend shifts and may include both daytime and evening hours. A person in this classification will work flexibly, up to 20 hours per week. Hours and locations will vary across multiple community centers, and Building Attendants will be required to open and/or close the facility as needed.

The hours of this position could be Monday through Friday, from 3:30pm-8:30pm during the school year, but nighttime and weekend hours will be mandatory depending on special events and program needs. During the spring and summer, duties will include, but are not limited to, serving as a head coach within our Junior Dribblers basketball program and leading mobile recreation activities at various parks and school sites. This position will report directly to the After School Sports Coordinator.

Typical duties may include, but are not limited to the following: Provide gym/field oversite and coordination at various gyms and school sites within Redwood City; act in the capacity of lead scorekeeper or field supervisor; train new scorekeepers and/or field attendants as needed; possess a firm understanding of league rules and policies; ensure that games and practices operated in a safe, inclusive environment; report any issues immediately to After School Sports Coordinator; address all parent or league issues in a timely and professional manner; maintain and care for all sports and mobile rec equipment; follow departmental and city-wide rules and regulations as they relate to the supervision of sports program and general work procedures; assist with other programs within the Parks & Recreation Department, including but not limited to, facilities, special events, and other youth programs.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The City of Redwood City Parks, Recreation & Community Services Department is looking for enthusiastic high school students to train and work within our After School Sports Program as a flag football, volleyball, or basketball official. On game days, youth referees will be partnered with experienced officials that will provide training and mentorship. Youth officials will typically work two days a week. Game days and times are Monday through Thursday, from 3:45pm-7pm.

Official’s shirt, whistle, and training resources are provided. All training is provided by the Silicon Valley Sports Officials Association. Training dates will vary based on sport and season and will include classroom and hands-on instruction.

Flag Football and Volleyball Training Season - APPLICATIONS DUE BY AUGUST 1

• Training - Mid-August – September
• League games begin the last week of September – second week of November

Basketball Training Season - APPLICATIONS DUE BY SEPTEMBER 15

What we are seeking 

The ideal candidate will possess: 

• Solid clinical treatment, assessment, diagnostic and evaluation skills. 
• Experience/interest in providing treatment to youth (individual therapy, family therapy, and case management). 
• Experience/interest in working with youth with emotional disturbances and with varying degrees of functional impairment and psychiatric presentations.
• Knowledge of Special Education and Individualized Education Plans
• Experience/interest in risk assessments, crisis assessments, and triage.
• Knowledge of principles, techniques and trends in counseling, psychotherapy, clinical case management, crisis management as well as evidence-based practices. 
• Demonstrated ability or interest in working with a broad range of clients from diverse cultures, and backgrounds, and an ability to provide culturally appropriate clinical services. 
• Experience/interest in working in rural communities and/or migrant and seasonal farm working population. 

• Experience/interest in working collaboratively with primary care, psychiatry, and school districts. 
• Experience/interest in generating community referrals and helping clients to connect with those community resources. 
• Comprehensive and timely documentation skills: assessments, progress notes, client care plans, discharge plans, etc.

Licensure/Certification:

• Psychiatric Social Worker I: Registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Clinical Social Worker.  If an individual is not registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Clinical Social Worker at the time of hire, they must have submitted the application, and must obtain and provide the registration number within 90 days of hire.  An individual hired in this classification must become licensed within six years from the date of employment as a Clinical Social Worker issued by the State of California within three years of appointment.
• Psychiatric Social Worker II:  Current California license as a Clinical Social Worker.

• Marriage and Family Therapist I:  Registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. SALARY:  Step A ($120,598.79) to Step E ($146,552.90) annually. Officers can earn up to an additional 27.5% above the base salary through qualifying incentives, such as specialty pay (5%), evening differential (5%), bilingual pay (5%), Master Officer pay (2.5%), and Master's degree incentive (10%). This results in potential annual compensation of approximately $153,763 at Step A to approximately $186,851 at Step E.
