In this role, you will have the opportunity to have a leadership role within the Teen Services division under the supervision of the Supervising Librarian, coordinate system-wide teen (ages 13 to 18) outreach programming, purchase items for the Teen collections, and assist in budget development.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A typical way of gaining the knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position is equivalent to graduation from a college or university with a Master's degree in Library Science and three (3) years of experience as a professional librarian. Progressively responsible related experience may be substituted for the college coursework on a year-for-year basis.

A valid California driver's license is desirable. Must be able to work evenings and weekends.

THE POSITION:

The City of San Rafael, Child Care Division is accepting applications for Child Care Aide to work in our School-Age Program.  We are looking for people who are available Monday thru Friday from 2:00 – 6:00 pm.  This is a great part-time position for someone who attends school in the morning.  No weekend work required!

This position performs the following essential job duties (including but not limited to):

• Assist Director and Instructors in planning and implementing activities.
• Assist in the supervision of children at the child care center or on outings/trips.
• Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of equipment and materials.
• Assist in the preparation and cleanup of snacks.
• Other related duties as assigned.

To be eligible for this position you must have knowledge of:

• Child guidance methods.
• Developmentally-appropriate practices and curriculum.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Some experience with school age children, preferably 6 months.

Are you looking for a fun, part-time job where you can stay active, work with kids, and be part of the community? The City of Orinda Parks and Recreation Department is hiring Sports Program Assistants for the upcoming Orinda Youth Sports (OYS) Winter Basketball League!

Season Dates: Saturdays only, January 20 – March 14 (no games Feb. 14)
Shifts: 6 hours (8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. or 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.)
Pay: $16.50 – $24.50/hour (depending on experience and role)

What You’ll Do

• Help set up and take down basketball equipment

• Supervise the gym and keep things running smoothly

• Run the scoreboard/score clock

• Be a positive role model for young athletes

(And yes—there will be chances for more work in the spring leagues and summer camps!)
