Role Description

As a Clinical Psychologist for the County Adult Assistance Program(CAAP), you will conduct professional-level work in screening and assessing CalWORKS and CAAP clients to identify and document disabling mental health conditions and associated functional limitations that enable them to qualify for Social Security Benefits.

Essential Duties Include:

• Conducts screening and assessment of clients with mental health related complaints, collateral interviews with primary care and behavioral health staff, and medical records review to support clients’ application for Social Security Benefits.
• Selects, administers, scores, and interprets appropriate psychological tests of intelligence, personality, aptitude, achievement, interest and other specialized areas and conducts diagnostic clinical interviews with emotionally disturbed, mentally ill, chemically dependent, and intellectually disabled adults to assess their impairments to provide medical evidence in support of clients’ application for Social Security Benefits as needed.
• Prepares psychological reports presenting diagnostic findings, interview findings, functional assessments, clinical evaluations, and recommendations for the Clients’ SSI eligibility.
• Reviews and evaluates psychological, psychiatric and/or neuropsychological data and case material.
• Provides education, consultation, and information to community providers, and CAAP’s multi-disciplinary team on adult adjustment problems, mental illness, chemical dependence, culturally relevant services, and other topics related to SSI eligibility.
• Supervises psychology interns and subordinate clinical staff not including class 2574 Clinical Psychologist; conducts staff training programs both within the clinic or unit and for line agency personnel.

Role description

Under general supervision, assists in analyzing, planning, implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting and enhancing large complex systems or networks consisting of a combination that may include mainframes, mini-computers, personal computers, mobile devices, LANS, WANs, servers, data storage and the physical and logical components that integrate these systems together as an enterprise networking backbone. 

The 1042 Security Engineer is the journey level position in the Engineer series. The class is distinguished from the Senior level by the complexity of the tasks, projects or duties assigned, and is more independent than the Assistant level. This classification performs a wide range of complex analytical, design, planning, implementation, enhancement and problem resolution tasks on large complex systems and networks. Works within a framework of established procedures and interprets policies, procedures and guidelines. This level may formulate recommendations consistent with directives, policies, standards and regulations. Incumbents require only occasional instruction or assistance. Work is reviewed upon completion and for overall results. Serves as a technical architect and systems integrator for large complex systems or networks, with a focus on securing vulnerabilities and reducing risk of system and/or asset compromises.

Essential Duties:
 

1. Determine requirements for the development environment and / or enhancement for large complex systems that serve HSA’s programs. May research and conduct feasibility studies on new technologies.
2. Design, plan, integrate, test, implement, document and enhance large complex systems. This may involve the analysis, coding (.NET C#, Cold Fusion), web application design, database design, and evaluation of systems software, hardware and communications strategies.
3. Perform systems integration for interoperability over dissimilar platforms and technologies. This may involve the integration of various protocols and systems software.
4. Determine the proper installation parameters for software for smooth integration and efficiency in relation to the enterprise system and network.
5. Write code to customize large systems software which may involve specialized programming languages.
6. Read and understand requirements documentation and other documentation in order to write code to implement the required features for application systems.
7. Analyze, detect, identify and correct complex systems software or hardware deficiencies. Analyze, research and debug program logic and systems; modify program logic; analyze service requests for system changes or new requirements to determine the most effective approach and the appropriate staff time required to achieve the needed modification.
8. Provide emergency technical support for application issues to ensure system availability and data integrity. May provide on-call support to ensure rapid recovery from software or hardware problems for mission-critical systems and networks.
9. Act as the liaison between vendors, technical support hot-lines and departments to resolve complex systems. Coordinate and implement corrective measures; this may involve site visits, telephone assistance, remote systems and participation in technical committees.
10. Facilitate the demonstration and training of staff in the use of new hardware or software products.
11. Document procedures and troubleshooting techniques related to systems software and hardware; develop technical documentation and review documentation prior to general distribution.
12. Plan, develop and implement backup and recovery procedures for large systems.
13. Communicate with managers regarding system performance and operational issues. Suggest improvements to management.
14. Research and test new software technologies; report results; recommend software purchases. Learn and implement the new technologies that are brought in. Coordinate and work with vendors when needed. 
15. Attend meetings, workshops, and demonstrations; perform duties and responsibilities as assigned.

THE POSITION

The main job of a Library Page is putting books, DVDs, CDs, and magazines back on the shelves and preparing the library for opening and closing. The ability to quickly and accurately sort things alphabetically and numerically is required. This is an ideal job for someone who enjoys organizing and who can work quietly on their own.

DEFINITION

Under supervision, sorts, shelves, straightens, relocates, and searches for library materials, re-orders and organizes materials as needed, provides basic directional information to patrons, performs basic circulation duties using computer software, performs physical tasks to support library programs and procedures, performs closing procedures, and does related work as required.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

Sorts and shelves materials, assists at public service desks; inspects materials for wear and damage and does basic mending of same; keeps books and periodical shelves in order; assists in taking inventory of books; performs basic custodial tasks as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 Knowledge of: Basic clerical functions, principles of alphabetical and numerical filing, basic record keeping procedures.

Ability to: Sort material quickly and accurately in alphabetic or numeric order; follow oral and written directions; interact positively and cooperate with co-workers, respond politely to library patrons, work as a team member, function under demanding time pressure, respond in a positive manner to supervision, and attend work and perform duties on a regular and consistent basis.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial diagnostic evaluation noting behavioral symptoms which may indicate organic and/or mental disorders in children and in interpersonal/ family dysfunctions related to child and adult patients/clients.
• Determine and develop appropriate treatment plans for all clients in the caseload.
• Conduct individual, group and family counseling/therapy sessions for clients toward the goal of achieving more adequate, satisfying and productive adjustments in the community and provide case management services as appropriate.

• Utilize Trauma Informed Care and other Evidence-based practices.
• Provide consultation and education services.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and responding to after-hours calls (Youth Services Center).
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and responding to after-hours calls from Psychiatric Emergency Services (Youth Case Management).

NOTE: This is an extra-help, at-will assignment, paid on an hourly basis. Extra-help hours are dependent on the business needs of the department and therefore work hours may vary from week to week. Correctional Health Services (CHS) therapists provide clinical mental health services utilizing Trauma Informed Care to inmates with mental illness, serious mental illness, or substance use disorders and/or co-occurring disorders of mental illness, serious mental illness, and chemical dependency. The Ideal Candidate will possess

• A current license as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Marriage and Family Therapist.

• Fluency in any of the threshold languages: Spanish, Tagalog, Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin) or Russian and experience providing clinical services using bilingual skills.
• Experience working in a correctional facility and/or experience working with Law enforcement.
• Experience providing case management services for an inmate population.
• Demonstrated ability in providing clinical mental health services to an adult population with serious mental illness and/or co-occurring disorders of mental illness, serious mental illness, and substance use disorders.

Position Summary

Under general supervision, operates a variety of transit vehicles to transport passengers along specific, assigned routes according to the District's requirements. Provide service in a safe, courteous and reliable manner. Responsible for written reports and other information as required. Upon completion of the Golden Gate Transit Training Program, the employee operates regularly scheduled assignments. All runs will originate in either Santa Rosa, Novato or San Rafael.

Hourly Pay: $31.29/hour to $36.81/hour

 If selected for the position, new hires will need to complete Golden Gate Bridge, Highway & Transportation District’s Bus Operator Apprenticeship Program ($31.29/hr benefits not included) which is approximately twelve (12) weeks, Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Upon successful completion of training, pay increase granted to $33.13 per hour, plus benefits. All new hires will be required to complete a 120 probationary period upon completion of training.

Essential Responsibilities

• Transports passengers along assigned routes, making designated stops as required or requested 
• Uses the fare box to accurately collect fares, issues transfers and gives general information • Completes reports on patron count, non-scheduled mileage, vehicular deficiencies, fare box, accidents and other reports as required 
• Operates automatic lift on buses and assists passengers in wheelchairs, those using crutches or walkers, or who have speech or mental difficulty 
• Ensures that Driver’s license and all other documents required of a commercial licensee are maintained and are current and valid 
• Knows and follows the safety and health rules and safe working practices applicable to his or her job 
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with District employees, customers, vendors and all others contacted during the course of work using principles of excellent customer service 
• Performs additional related duties as assigned 
• Regular and reliable attendance and performance are required

Minimum Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: 
• No experience is necessary. 
• Must be a licensed driver for at least seven (7) years prior to the date of this posting.
